Ann Wilson is one of the best female vocalist ever. They have many hits, you should check out they're tribute to LED Zeppelin she sang Stairway to Heaven and recieved a standing ovation from LED Zeppelin members in the audience.
Ann Wilson has the Best rock voice ever, I like Stevie Niks but she is no competition for Ann. Not to dismiss her sister Nancy she sings too and plays guitar. The band is exceptional you need to dive deeper into this band
Ann and her sister, Nancy are ICONIC. Barracuda is a BANGER. It’s about the music industry, basically. Their song, Crazy on You also has the best acoustic lead in of all time imo (Nancy be baller baller on those strings). In a world dominated by men at that time, these women kicked some serious a$$
These ladies are killer. Many great suggestions shown below. My top two are “Alone” and their performance of “Stairway to Heaven” on the Kennedy Center Honors. The guys from Led Zeppelin were loving it. The smiles on their faces and tearing up a little…awwww. ❤️
Heart was definitely just as big as Fleetwood Mac. The pride of Seattle. “Crazy On You” is great, “Magic Man,” “Alone,” “Never,” “These Dreams,”all great songs. I bet you’ve both heard more than you realize.
From what I recall, this song is about misogynistic rock journalists… who would ask Ann (and her sister Nancy, one of the guitar players) highly personal questions in interviews, make sexist comments and hint that the sisters were lesbian lovers (ugh, seriously ) 🙄😩 I could be wrong but I think I do recall seeing Ann say that in an interview. I. Love. Ann. Wilson. 😊❤️🤘🏽
Yeah I heard similar but that this was the record label they were under at the time started those rumours for publicity and then as you say the journalists ate it up. Why pull a stunt like that when you have this kind of talent working under you I have no idea.
Yeah I think it was Mushroom records who posted a publicity thing hinting that the Wilson sisters were lesbian. I think they also threatened saying they would publish their record, which was no where near finished, without their permission. Then one day someone said to Ann, “how’s your lover” to which Ann replied something like, “Micheal is fine” and then the man said, “no your sister.” Ann was so angry she stormed back to her caravan and started writing Barracuda
Ann Wilson and Layne Staley had a very good relationship. As I'm sure you've already read, her and Nancy were basically the mothers of grunge. Layne is featured on a Heart song called "Ring Them Bells", a Bob Dylan cover. Ann is also featured on Alice in Chains' "Brother" and "Am I Inside". You should check those out. She's a beast. Her and Layne together were a amazing. It's a shame we didn't get more of them two together.
Great reaction! Ann Wilson is known as one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time and certainly the best female rock vocalist of all time. This is a classic and most people have probably heard that famous guitar riff at some point as it is one of the most famous guitar riffs of all time too.
Heart has been a very popular band -- from 1975 until today. One of the biggest acts of the 70's & 80's. Their song "Alone" I think captures the real essence of the band.....
Hell yes brothers! Heart has a special place in the hearts of millions of metalheads as one of the most epically badass female-fronted bands ever (and tbf one of the most epically badass bands, period!). For my money, it doesn't get any better than "Alone" Keep it up guys, thanks for the morning dose of energy!
Guys the Wilson sisters are kick ass and have many awesome songs. They put out good music for several decades, not just a few hits. HEART is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Great reaction. Believe it or not, Ann and Nancy Wilson (sisters) are still performing, at least to 2019. Here is an amazing performance done not too long ago during Obama's time as President. A tribute to Led Zeppelin, live perfomance in their honor. And since John Bonham has died, his son comes out to do the drumming for Heart. In case you are interested they are doing "Stairway To Heaven" and the last part is killer. Link to The Kennedy Center Honors, Heart perfomance ua-cam.com/video/8e2fJfiddx4/v-deo.html.
I'm sure many of you guys have seen the vid where Heart did Zepplin's "Stairway To Heaven" at the Kennedy Center Rock Honors thing....... that was an epic performance from the whole band (including Jason Bonham on drums) but Ann Wilson was str8 🔥! These ladies are phenomenal! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
Heart, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Linda Ronstadt ...all iconic and talented female voices of the 70's/early 80's. Enjoy checking these legends out.
Wilson's voice is such a powerful entity. The song just wouldn't have the same momentum if it wasn't for her lungs. Of Hearts 70s material, this is probably the best-known song, but most people don't know that the rest of this album and the album prior are very Progressive. The band were influenced by Genesis and Jethro Tull so there is a lot of very intricate musicianship and what not happening in several of the deeper cuts from these albums. Highly recommended if you want to go back and hear some pure-strain 70s prog rock that also happens to contain truly Angelic vocals.
LOVE HEART!! ❤️ Yes, they were big in the 70's. Ann Wilson is the lead singer and her sister Nancy Wilson is on guitar and backing vocals. Heartless, Magic Man, Straight on to you, Crazy on you to name a few. The Kennedy Centre was honoring Led Zeppelin and Heart did stairway to heaven. Ann was in her 60's and she just killed it! Cheers
Heart is truly legendary and one of the most ICONIC bands of all time. I'm surprised you hadn't heard of them but you've definitely heard some of their songs. Ann and Nancy Wilson are two of the greatest singer-guitarist duos in rock history. Not to mention Ann is one of the greatest singers to ever live!
Manny's finisher was the Flying Forearm (Called the "Flying Burrito) How...regarding Heart. This is a great rabbit hole to fall into. "Crazy On You" will show you Nancy Wilson's guitar chops, and Ann Wilson has a voice that can only be described as "iconic". "Straight On", "Dreamboat Annie", "Alone".
They are/were an awesome band. Their most quirky, almost Korn like tuning, heaviest, almost metal song that hardly ever gets played, is Mistral Wind. Check that out.
1. Heart is an amazing band. The singer and guitarist are sisters and have been the core of the band since they formed in the 70s. In the 70s, their sound was more rock based. When the mid-80's hit, their sound was more radio friendly, mainly mid-tempo songs and ballads. But very powerful voices. Over 40 years of making music, can go wrong with any of their songs. 2. Manny Fernandez's finisher is a forearm smash called the flying burrito. 3. Heart and Stevie era of Fleetwood Mac made it big around the same timeframe. 4. The song is based on a tabloid reporter trying to find gossip about Ann( the dark haired woman) and Nancy( the redish haired woman) who are sisters.
I read that this was about a record producer that wanted to take advantage of them in the beginning when they first started out. They are one of my fav bands and their music rocks! Ann and Nancy Wilson are half sisters, and they started out writing their own music and playing in coffee shops and then formed this band eventually. Thanks for another great reaction video!
Next Heart song should be either MAGIC MAN or CRAZY ON YOU! The main 2 members are sisters, Ann and Nancy Wilson. Ann is the lead singer and Nancy is the guitarist and backing vocals. Though not quite as big as Fleetwood Mac, they are in the Rock"n Roll HOF. They have many platinum and gold selling records. Edit: you should really check out their Led Zeppelin tribute (with Jason Bonham on drums). They do a great cover of Stairway To Heaven.
HEART, "BARACUDA", Singer, Ann Wilson, Acoustic guitar Nancy Wilson ❤ 1970'S Rock. Other Tracks, TRAFFIC, "LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS", YES, "ROUNDABOUT"
They’re still going strong! They are also a world class Led Zeppelin cover band in addition to their incredible catalog. Watch them, 35 years later, honoring Led Zep, in person, at the Kennedy Center doing my favorite version of Stairway to Heaven!
I saw Heart live at an outdoor concert in 86 or 87 with my girlfriend. I remember her sitting on my shoulders so she could see (she was 5'4"). Great concert!
Ann & Nancy Wilson! They were awesome. They got quite a few good ones. They were as big as Fleetwood Mac at one time. Check out magic man crazy on you oh and they did a fine performance of stairway to heaven as a tribute to zeppelin at the Kennedy center in front of zeppelin and Obama was there and a bunch of officials. It was good.
Saw them live a few years ago, and they’re in their 60s and they still put on a great show! Ann Wilson is easily one of, if not the best female rock singer ever.
In addition to everything everyone is suggesting y'all listen to from the Wilson Sisters and Heart please check out their tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Lincoln Center Honors. The did Stairway to Heaven so well it brought a tear to Robert Plant"s eye.
Ann was just so damn good! I almost cry everytime I hear this on react channels. Makes me feel how I felt hearing it for the first time as a kid in elementary.
Heart tribute to Led Zeppelin at Kennedy Honor Center is a EXPERIENCE. Stairway ti Heaven....All Zed Zeppelin band members in attendance, except Jon Bohman drummer (RIP) but his son plays drums in performance. Best Cover
Yes HEART does jam , they got lots of cool tunes . And another female singer very few people have heard of is CANDY GIVINS , she sang and on harmonica for the band ZEPHYR , a couple good ones would be HARD CHARGIN WOMAN , or SUN'S A RISIN !! And it has TOMMY BOLIN at 18 on guitar !!!!!!
the entire bassline is basically lifted from achilles last stand by zep, and its AWESOME! heart are a great band, VERY talented, ann has a fantastic voice even now!
When Heart signed their record deal, the record company executive wanted to celebrate by having...uh...fun...with the 2 Wilson sisters. They politely declined, then made this song in "honor" of him.
Early Heart is the best. Soul of the Sea, White Lightning and Wine, Magic Man, Crazy on You, etc etc. Not a bad song. Guitars Roger Fisher and Howard Leese. Michael Derossier on drums. Ann Wilson, lead vocal. Nancy Wilson guitars/mandolins and backup singer
If you guys would like to react to one of the most mindblowing vocal performances of all time, check out Heart singing Stairway to Heaven. With not just the surviving members of Led Zeppelin watching, but Barrack and Michelle Obama as well. ( Talk about pressure! ) 😁
Hey guys, you want another awesome song from Heart, you need to listen to their cover of Zeppelin’s Kashmire , they are absolutely amazing. Heart has had number 1 albums and number 1 songs in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s. Even though the lead singer is now almost 72 and her blonde sister on guitar is 68, they are still sounding and looking amazing!
THE WILSON SISTERS!! THEY ARE 🔥🔥 You should check out their cover of Stairway To Heaven during Led Zeppelin’s induction to the hall of fame… YOU MUST WATCH IT, IM SERIOUS
they were a Seattle Band who would come up to Vancouver BC to hang out - if Memory is correct they recorded their first album here -- they headlined an all day outside concert in 1979 in the Summer Sunday series in Vancouver and just rocked the stadium to the ground
I have heard that Robert Plant has said that this is the best Led Zeppelin song that Zeppelin never wrote-- basically, "it sounds like something we would have done."
If you enjoy 70s rock try Suzi Quattro - Devil Gate Drive. She was one amongst others that influenced 'The Runaways' - Cherry Bomb (obviously Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - I love Rock and Roll). This group Heart struck a huge mark in the ground for women in Rock music where it had been dominated by male artists. My generation appreciated Brit 90s Indie/rock groups like Elastica - Connection Lush - Ladykillers Echobelly - King of the Kerb Catatonia - Road Rage Republica - Ready to Go And European artists like The Cardigans - My Favourite Game.
Heart is one of those legendary rock bands from back in the day when I was a kid I loved listening to them it was something my mom always jammed out and I got to liking them barracuda is probably the most well known song but magic Man is probably my favorite I recently heard the live version from mid 80s roughly for that song magic Man and it blew me away you guys have to check that out at some point in time 🗑️🗣️4️⃣🧬
Search for Magic Man live hq, there’s a video from like 2006 when she’s in her late 50s. It’s the last show of that tour, and it was at home in Seattle. Talk about energy, Ann is singing barefoot, Ben Smith is laying stank on drums, Scott Olson on lead guitar, Nancy on rhythm, and Mike Inez from Alice In Chains on bass. Killer groove on that one…
Women in Rock : Sass Jordan "High Road Easy" ( Gave Taylor Hawkins his first gig), Rossington Collins Band "Opportunity" Members of Lynyrd Skynyrd after the crash , Black State Highway " Aint got no" Power blues rock voices!
I suggest trying the original PRETENDERS with Chrissie Hynde. Especially the first record, considered one of the best debut albums of all time. Also had one of the best guitar players of his generation. Anything off the first record is sublime and great. Worth a listen for you - will enjoy. One of the coolest fronted bands with a girl ever. She is an icon and in the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME deservedly so.
Heart is fronted by Ann and Nancy Wilson. Yes they did start off in the 70s. Though they skyrocketed during 80s via MTV. You should react to “What About Love?” by them next.
I saw them in concert this is years ago and they were still together. Spokane jam. And they're awesome in that I mean she sounds pretty good today but Anns voice could break glass back in the day. And we all know what the song barracuda is about, she explained it. Few can match Anns vocals. Also for those who don't know it her sister Nancy who is not an original band member, Ann asked her to come over and play with them when they were in Canada. Listen to Anne singing "Someone Told Me To Call" it was several albums back, that song will just give you chills with her vocals. Ann and Nancy Wilson and Heart were as big as Fl Mac, believe me. They are sisters. It's wierd for me to see you guys have no clue who they are, lol. Anns vocals are legendary as are Pat Benatars. Stevie Nicks was ok but vocal wise cannot hold a candle to Ann or Pat.
Ann Wilson is one of the best female vocalist ever. They have many hits, you should check out they're tribute to LED Zeppelin she sang Stairway to Heaven and recieved a standing ovation from LED Zeppelin members in the audience.
Yes, just watched before starting the video. Just look up Heart Stairway to Heaven in UA-cam. It has 72 million views. 😁
I second this motion 😬
Not to mention the Obamas!
(Pressure much?)
😜
Don't forget Jason bonham (John's) son on drums
This!
Ann Wilson has an amazing voice, and that's her sister Nancy on guitar. Rock and Roll HOF
Ann Wilson has the Best rock voice ever, I like Stevie Niks but she is no competition for Ann. Not to dismiss her sister Nancy she sings too and plays guitar. The band is exceptional you need to dive deeper into this band

HEART the only band that can cover stairway to heaven live for Led Zeppelin and get a standing ovation from the band.
You've GOT to hear this. Even Robert Plant cried. It was when LZ was awarded the Kennedy Center Awards.
These ladies are killer. Many great suggestions shown below. My top two are “Alone” and their performance of “Stairway to Heaven” on the Kennedy Center Honors. The guys from Led Zeppelin were loving it. The smiles on their faces and tearing up a little…awwww. ❤️
When you an make the original band cry at your rendition….that’s dope
Don't stop here: Magic Man, Crazy on You two other great ones.
Ann Wilson was like the Seattle mom for grunge bands like Alice In Chains. She sings on one of their tracks and it's amazing.
She is on Brother, Am I Inside and Rooster. Layne was on a Heart cover of Bob Dylan's "Ring Them Bells" circa 1994.
She covered Rooster recently at 60-something years old and killed it.
Heart was definitely just as big as Fleetwood Mac. The pride of Seattle. “Crazy On You” is great, “Magic Man,” “Alone,” “Never,” “These Dreams,”all great songs. I bet you’ve both heard more than you realize.
I don't see anyone mention "Straight On". The vocals in that song are absolutely stellar!

Yeah I heard similar but that this was the record label they were under at the time started those rumours for publicity and then as you say the journalists ate it up. Why pull a stunt like that when you have this kind of talent working under you I have no idea.
It was about their manager. From what I understood he was bleeding them dry.
My fault it was about some record industry guy!

For my money, it doesn't get any better than "Alone"
Keep it up guys, thanks for the morning dose of energy!
What a coincidence....Heart has been playing in my house all weekend. Great song guys! Should do "Crazy on You" next. ❤🤘
Guys the Wilson sisters are kick ass and have many awesome songs. They put out good music for several decades, not just a few hits. HEART is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Heart, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Linda Ronstadt ...all iconic and talented female voices of the 70's/early 80's. Enjoy checking these legends out.
Crazy on You and Magic Man are a must to hear!
Heart is LEGEND!!! One of the greatest ever. So epic they even performed Stairway to Heaven at Led Zeppelin's Kennedy Center honors.

Crazy on you is my favorite Heart song. It really showcases her voice!!
Heart was definitely big in the '70s! They were very much inspired by Led Zeppelin and are even in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Ann and Nancy. The Wilson sisters. Ann the singer, Nancy the guitarist. Yes they were as popular as Fleetwood Mac.
Heart is truly legendary and one of the most ICONIC bands of all time. I'm surprised you hadn't heard of them but you've definitely heard some of their songs. Manny's finisher was the Flying Forearm (Called the "Flying Burrito)
How...regarding Heart.
One of their underrated songs IMO…
Seattle delivers the music, my friends
Yes ❤️ is from, Seattle 😁
Check out, Alone, and, Sweet Dreams,(sappy ballads, yes) very powerful vocals!
4. The song is based on a tabloid reporter trying to find gossip about Ann( the dark haired woman) and Nancy( the redish haired woman) who are sisters.

one of the great voices of rock right there! Cool to see they won the poll
Ann Wilson is the singer. He sister Nancy plays guitar. You need to see them perform Stairway to Heaven in front of Led Zeppelin. Its amazing!
Best female rocker ever!!! No! No! No autotune! Pure 100 percent talent!!!!
"Crazy On You" is another great Heart song.
Saw them live a few years ago, and they’re in their 60s and they still put on a great show! Ann Wilson is easily one of, if not the best female rock singer ever.

They not wrong
Kennedy Center
Right, my bad...old age!
Ann was just so damn good! I almost cry everytime I hear this on react channels. Makes me feel how I felt hearing it for the first time as a kid in elementary.

Oh hell ya!!! Great song! You should check out "magic man" or "crazy on you". Glad this won the poll! Thanks guys!
I grew up listening to heart. I was born 53 years ago! I fucking love this band so much. Clearly one of the best female bands of all time.
My favorite female vocalist if all time Ms Ann Wison awesome pipes on this woman..i love their song " STRAIGHT ON " both sisters vocalize..
I'm so glad I was a teenager in the 70s
Blessed to have seen Ann and Nancy live! By far one of the best shows in the 70's!
When Heart signed their record deal, the record company executive wanted to celebrate by having...uh...fun...with the 2 Wilson sisters. They politely declined, then made this song in "honor" of him.
That's not quite what happened. Not even close in fact.
And I'm case no one had said such yet, this was a live performance. These guys were phenomenal live.
The first law of thermodynamics: energy can neither be created nor destroyed.

😁
OMG!!!! She is legendary and her voice is still pure or amazing today.....check out the other songs all listed in comments by others.
"Magic Man" is the best of theirs.
One of the best female voices in music

The biggest song that I love to hear is these dreams by heart
And I'm also sure that several would agree when I say that Ann Wilson blows Stevie Nicks outta the water any day! And I love Stevie Nicks! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
Ann and Nancy Wilson are rock goddesses.
A fucking jam. Heart was right up there with Fleetwood Mac
Hell ya!
Every part of this song jams ..it’s stellar
ICONIC band - Female Robert Plant
I have heard that Robert Plant has said that this is the best Led Zeppelin song that Zeppelin never wrote-- basically, "it sounds like something we would have done."
Heart ❤️- stairway to Heaven cover tribute to the band at the Kennedy Center is a must see
They got hold of a bad sound quality version of that video somehow. Might want to try the studio version guys.
If you enjoy 70s rock try
Suzi Quattro - Devil Gate Drive. She was one amongst others that influenced 'The Runaways' - Cherry Bomb (obviously Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - I love Rock and Roll).
This group Heart struck a huge mark in the ground for women in Rock music where it had been dominated by male artists.

And European artists like The Cardigans - My Favourite Game.
Hell yeah. Barracuda!!!!
"Sing Child" "Magic Man" "Love Alive" "Kick it Out" all good Heart tunes.
Hey dudes, listen to “Magic Man” by Heart!! Another energy filled song. I believe the ladies in the group are the Wilson sisters!!!!
Heart is one of those legendary rock bands from back in the day when I was a kid I loved listening to them it was something my mom always jammed out and I got to liking them barracuda is probably the most well known song but magic Man is probably my favorite I recently heard the live version from mid 80s roughly for that song magic Man and it blew me away you guys have to check that out at some point in time 🗑️🗣️4️⃣🧬
I was 11 when this rocked the airwaves. When the Wilson sisters played Heavy Metal.
Search for Magic Man live hq, there’s a video from like 2006 when she’s in her late 50s. It’s the last show of that tour, and it was at home in Seattle. This Classic HITS LIKE A BRICK!!,,
The Ides Of March "Vehicle"
"Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it can only change form."
Heart was on fire in the 70s + 80 just killing it they were absolutely on the same level Stevie Nicks
Great band! I saw them in concert in 1978 when the dog and butterfly album came out .
Women in Rock : Sass Jordan "High Road Easy" ( Gave Taylor Hawkins his first gig), Rossington Collins Band "Opportunity" Members of Lynyrd Skynyrd after the crash , Black State Highway " Aint got no" Power blues rock voices!
Their tribute to Led Zepplin at the Kennedy Center is a MUST !! Unbelievable.
When I saw you guys were gonna react to this song, I got excited. Was not disappointed.
Goosebumps every time I hear this song
Heart is fronted by Ann and Nancy Wilson. Yes they did start off in the 70s. Though they skyrocketed during 80s via MTV. You should react to “What About Love?” by them next.
they were an awesome band, we used to watch them in the bars amazing
Anne Wilson is legendary. She was Floor Jansen before Floor Jansen was Floor Jansen.
Back then I would play Heart and Fleetwood Mac back to back. Yes in my mind they were as big.
Ann Wilson awesome voice
Blonde on guitar & backup vocals is her sister Nancy who was married to movie producer Cameron Crowe until 2010
When they said heavy hard rock was the domain of men only… Ann and Nancy said hold our beers.. .. they are great
Nice....how about "Rock N Roll Hootchie Koo" by Rick Derringer???
