Thankfully for them, these newer vehicles are better engineered to handle that sort of power. But yes its not easy to find a route for 0 or 2/0 gauge wires. My sleeper wagon. 04' Passat GL 5speed. There are a reasonable amount of options for running through the 1st firewall but the 2nd because of course there is a 2nd. Resorted to run thru the gromit holding the hood release line. Boost gauge already ran through the other possible option. With it set with 2 batteries im able to connect my 1200watt power inverter if i ever need A/C outlet to use.
Thanks! Not long after we installed these two 12’s we pulled them out and redesigned the box a little and put two DDX10’s facing forward and it really woke it up a LOT. These 12’s just wasn’t hitting like they should have because of the facing up and so close to the back dash.
Us get the lc2i brand line converter it's a clean signal or the one kicker makes it's on the video Steve Meade just made if u watch it he explains it but seriously love that box great craftsmanship on it
Thanks! We changed all that up not long after making this video. We now have two DDX 10’s and modified the box so they would fit facing do you inside of the car. Thanks for all your info!
Nice system but if u watch the video Steve made just put out those loc that u get signals from are dirty they have distortion his channel is meade916 and take the 4 faraday capacitor out it's a waste it's just a fancy volt meter other then that great job my man just trying to help ya with advice so equipment dont get messed up have yall tried doing the big 3 under the hood??
I will have to check it’s been so long. 😂 We ended up changing it up not long after this video was made because the 12’s didn’t hit as hard facing up so we re built the box and on the front to fit two DDX10’s and it hits WAY harder with 10’s.
I greatly appreciate your comment!! Yeah we already changed it up a bit. He sold the two 12’s and bought 2 DDX 10’s. We pretty much left the box like it was in the back but we made the front almost flat so the 10’s are right up against the seat when it’s raised up so they are facing inside the car. It hits twice as hard or harder now than those 12’s did. 😁👍🏼 Another words they box is only sloped on the back now. Thanks again!
Brad Nason thanks bro! We are fixing to sell those 12’s and put 2 DDX 10’s in the front part of the glass so the speakers face forward so it will hit harder. 😁👍🏼
Best build I have seen in a long time. Looks amazing. Like someone else had said an LC2i would have made the bass better but I’m sure it’s still just as good. Hope that he loves it.
WOW that is a beautiful setup that custom acrylic is AWESOME cuts are perfect and clean AMAZING work 💯PERCENT 👍🏼👍🏼very IMPRESSIVE cool video [✌🏽💪🏽🔈✌🏽💪🏽🔉✌🏽💪🏽🔊 ]
I’m not sure what it was. A couple months after this install we decided to sell these two 12’s and installed two DDX10’s and redesigned the box and made the front face flat vertical and now the subs are on the front of the box facing inside the car and they hit WAY...harder than these two 12’s did. 😁👍🏼
I like the whole setup did an awesome job but you need a lot is deading material to get ride of all that rattle it makes it sound like crap I’m sorry or it’s the box it self that’s rattling. Just saying iv installed stereo’s for 20 yrs.
Donate Pickettay - Brother I greatly appreciate your kind words! It was a lot of work. 😁 It don’t hit quite as hard as we hope with the speakers facing up compared to it they were facing the front or the rear. My son wanted 12’s so that’s the only design we could come up with to fit in this SMALL trunk. 🤣👍🏼
Front or back. According to testing they say facing the Bo’s to the back hits harder. We now have my sons facing the front. We sold these 12’s and put two Skar DDX10’s facing the front and it hits SOOO much harder now. 😁👍🏼
Very unique set up for sure. I'm just curious though, is that box built to the spec for those speakers? Also having the subs up and ports forward without it being walled wouldn't you get some intense port noise? I'm not tying to make fun or talk smack I'm just curious
No sir. It didn’t make any popping noises. But a couple months after this install we decided to sell these two 12’s and installed two DDX10’s and redesigned the box and made the front face flat vertical and now the subs are on the front of the box facing inside the car and they hit WAY...harder than these two 12’s did. 😁👍🏼
It is a Rockville 4 fraud capacitor. I did not get it off of Amazon. It is about impossible to find them now. Not sure why. I was trying to find one for my nephew a few weeks ago and I had no luck.
Cole Aviation I say u get an audio control LC2i instead of the line out converter for way better bass results i will post a video soon of A 2014 Mercedes with 2 skar DDX 12’s on Rp.1500
Nastee Joe - Man that would be awesome if you could let me know that. That’s what I told my son yesterday that’s what I believe the problem is. Is that RCA converter.
We ended up redoing it a couple months after this video was made because it didn’t hit hard with the subs facing up. So we sold the two 12’s and and got two DDX 10’s and put them facing the front and they hit 10 times harder than what those 12’s did.
I built it for my son. 😁👍🏼 He just sold the DDX12’s and he just got in 2 DDX10’s so we can mount them on the front of the box so it will hit harder. The 12’s would not fit in front.
First off, great job creating this! Looks fantastic. I would highly recommend looking up subwoofer wiring diagrams. You should wire that amp to 1ohm. You should only have to use 2 of the 4 speaker outputs on the amplifier
@@ColeAviation isn't that a mono amp? If so there is really no need to lower the ohm load to 1 if I'm not mistaken the amp is 1400 rms which should more than suffice for a car of that size. Now the Lc2i will definitely eliminate the factory bass roll off .

Stopping by that’s a really sweet box!
I greatly appreciate your comment!!
I know this is an old post but what are the spec that you built that box to?

Very nice
Thank you so much for your comment! We now have two 10’s facing the front and they hit way...harder.
You son has pretty cool Dad. Awesome car by the way. He should enjoy for many years. Nice job on the audio install as well.
Thanks bro!
beautiful build
tubesteak5001 Thanks!
I love that enclosure..... Very nice!!
Sgt H. Jennings - I greatly appreciate your comment! 😁👍🏼
i like that box need one lil bit bigger 😍😍
I greatly appreciate your comment!! Yeah we already changed it up a bit. He sold the two 12’s and bought 2 DDX 10’s. Sick looking box

Dual 2 or dual 4 ohms subs?
Those were duel 4 ohms.
Best build I have seen in a long time. Looks amazing. Like someone else had said an LC2i would have made the bass better but I’m sure it’s still just as good. Hope that he loves it.
Dad with Kids - I appreciate your comment! 😁👍🏼

BASSLIFE 4EVR - I appreciate your comment! It was a LOT of work. Lol.
That's not an easy run on that car. Excellent job sir.
How high is the gain on your amplifier turned up? Since it's an exact match for the subs
I’m not sure what it was. A couple months after this install we decided to sell these two 12’s and installed two DDX10’s and redesigned the box and made the front face flat vertical and now the subs are on the front of the box facing inside the car and they hit WAY...harder than these two 12’s did. 😁👍🏼
Got me 2 ddx 12s as well, I blow that baby up in the parking lot, worked wonders for, very happy with it
What’s the height and width on that box?
I like the whole setup did an awesome job but you need a lot is deading material to get ride of all that rattle it makes it sound like crap I’m sorry or it’s the box it self that’s rattling. Just saying iv installed stereo’s for 20 yrs.
I have to say that is a beautiful box. Great job on the system sir.
Donate Pickettay - Brother I greatly appreciate your kind words! My son wanted 12’s so that’s the only design we could come up with to fit in this SMALL trunk. 🤣👍🏼
what is the best box placement in a car, facing to the back, or facing the front , or facing up ?!
Front or back. According to testing they say facing the Bo’s to the back hits harder. We now have my sons facing the front. We sold these 12’s and put two Skar DDX10’s facing the front and it hits SOOO much harder now. 😁👍🏼

As long as the port is the right diameter you shouldn't get any port noise.
No sir. It didn’t make any popping noises.
But a couple months after this install we decided to sell these two 12’s and installed two DDX10’s and redesigned the box and made the front face flat vertical and now the subs are on the front of the box facing inside the car and they hit WAY...harder than these two 12’s did. 😁👍🏼
@@ColeAviation do u have a video of those 10's??? Please upload
@@marioquintero8957 I don’t. I’m sorry.
6:46 what is the 24v capacitor? I'm looking for one...Did you bought it on Amazon ?
It is a Rockville 4 fraud capacitor. I did not get it off of Amazon. It is about impossible to find them now. Not sure why. I was trying to find one for my nephew a few weeks ago and I had no luck.
Cole Aviation , think I’ve found it www.amazon.com/dp/B00LTEAFHE/
Capacitors are the worst thing in the world for your amp you would be better off running a second battery in the back
Awesome dad! Also, I've never seen the engine bay for an infiniti, looks pretty cool tbh
Thanks for your comment!! I appreciate the kind words. 😁👍🏼 Yeah these little cars are STUPID FAST.
Damn that’s a dope box how much for one like that?
Nastee Joe - It cost about $200 to build just the box. Thanks!
Cole Aviation what ohms are the subs wired to & Whats the box tuned to?
Cole Aviation I say u get an audio control LC2i instead of the line out converter for way better bass results i will post a video soon of A 2014 Mercedes with 2 skar DDX 12’s on Rp.1500

Nastee Joe - Man that would be awesome if you could let me know that. That’s what I told my son yesterday that’s what I believe the problem is. Is that RCA converter.
You need bracing and double baffle real bad, that box is eventually gonna get worse and rattle more.
We ended up redoing it a couple months after this video was made because it didn’t hit hard with the subs facing up. So we sold the two 12’s and and got two DDX 10’s and put them facing the front and they hit 10 times harder than what those 12’s did.
What kind of leds u got in the box
It’s All Skar Audio.
That's a bad ass box!! Who did the box?
I built it for my son. 😁👍🏼 He just sold the DDX12’s and he just got in 2 DDX10’s so we can mount them on the front of the box so it will hit harder. The 12’s would not fit in front.
What you got them wired to 4 ohm or what?
Jacbybentril - They are wired @ 2ohm right now.
Pretty dope box, out of curiosity what gauge power wire did you run?
Crisco Flow - 1 gauge.
