The hair and freckles are perfect! What a great shoot! Great model, great lighting....what a winning combination. Thanks for posting.
I think its great i really enjoy your videos. Glad you are back doing more UA-cam 👍
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel! It's good to be back.
great job, your model is sooo fine
Thank you very much
Hey Mark, good to see you back… missed you! Appreciate all your videos…
So nice of you. Thanks
I love your style of teaching. I've been watching your videos for about a decade or so. I am happy that you are doing more UA-cam videos!
Totally agree
Thank you so much! It's only possible with the views and support of people like you. Thanks so much for being a part of the community.
Thanks, Kevin!
Your Lightroom magician is much better than mine. If I tried to remove the socket it would probably have selected her jeans as the source. 😅
Hahahaa. That happens. But it’s just a quick click and drag to fix the issue. One day LR will be a little too smart with the new AI. Where’s Sarah Connor?
@MarkWallaceVideos Sarah Connor is probably screaming desperately "What are you people doing? " from the other side ‼️
I can't wait to see the images that you create with this one light setup!!!!
Great 🎉
Thanks!
great work
Thanks!
Great LR ops. Thanks, Mark.
Very welcome! thanks for watching
Good to see you again.. Im learning a lot.. Thank you.
Welcome back!
Great tutorial, and clearly showcases that hard light without any modifier can produce amazing results. After viewing youtube for many years, I was nearly convinced that direct lighting a subject bare bulb or bare fresnel without any modification always was the last thing you should do!! (mantra of many event and wedding photographers).... sarcasm. Direct hard light on axis is fine to use... and actually creates pop in an image. 👍
Glad it helped!
Waiting from India ❤
Thanks for tuning in to the premiere!
Great video. No Tasi, but Will try this. 😁
Have fun!
Love the video and your return to make regular posts. Also, love the motorbike pants. Are you still touring/traveling on your motorbike?
Thanks! Those are Fjällrären trekking pants, not bike pants. I’m still a digital nomad, but now living in my Land Rover when I’m not in my apartment in Medellin.
@@MarkWallaceVideos then, my next question is: when is the book coming out? 😊😊
@@Elassyahmed I’m working on it. Maybe another year :)
Excellent results! Incredible what can be achieved with Lightroom. Could the same result be achieved without the digital aids?
You could make the adjustments in the camera, but the adjustments would be global. Contrast would be applied everywhere, not just the background/hair. Color changes would effect everything, not just local areas. Photographers have always taken the raw data (film negative or image file) and interpreted it according to their vision. "Getting it right in camera" is a myth. Perhaps I should make a video about that. ...aaaand let the comments begin. hahaha
Light doesn't become "harder" by putting that reflector on! It is for the most part producing the same physical size of source light. What the reflector does is stop light hitting the roof and walls which may reflect light back onto subject, creating fill... which ultimately lowers contrast. Correct reasoning and terms are important for education material. 👍
I was speaking in comparison to adding a softbox or umbrella. ;)
❤
Thanks, Mark!
Beautiful work.
Ever do headshots without flash
Or a light ?
I do. ua-cam.com/video/EV92WopxDWI/v-deo.htmlsi=qsSgZF5evbd4Qzzf
Great stuff, but that does not look like a Canon RF 24-105mm lens🤔 looks more like a Canon EF 70-200mm lens. I do realize this video isn't really about the gear, but just saying, still great editing tips 👍👍
You are correct! Geez, I must have been tired when I made those titles. It's definitely an EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L
helllooo!
I think results would be better without any reflector
Try both and let me know how it works out. I love experimenting and finding new ways to shoot.
Why?
No, it wouldn’t be. The reflector gives it a particular punch, but try it out without it and let us know.
Nice video; I love the results. It’s always great to see videos with Mark Wallace!
Brilliant video. I love your videos. I'm glad you are back .Keep them coming 👍
You shot RAW but Adobe will chose the same Camera Profile you used in camera: Standard.
Yes, but whatever profile and adjustments you use in the preset will override that. You still have total control.
However I am getting paid by every one of
Not a single brand paid me for this video. In fact, I paid for all the gear, the model, the space, editing time, software subscriptions, music licensing. The product links help to pay for those expenses. Viewers like you make the videos possible. Thanks for watching and being part of the community!
A la Terry Richardson. But not as raw.
Definitely not as raw. But same light. Hard and direct
