    This was an excellent training video Emily - I loved it! It’s great that you explain everything you’re doing but what I found particularly helpful was the way you let us see you analysing your shots, saying what you liked and what you didn’t and then how you were going to respond to what you saw. That process clarifies your decisions and I think it provides incredibly useful and practical information. Thank you again Emily and I look forward to your next video

    Why no one one light set up dont use softbox 50x70 or 60x90, already octabox?

    • @EmilyTeague
      @EmilyTeague 3 роки тому +5

      Because I prefer the round catch lights that come from an octa. The 39” / 100cm is the most versatile modifier I own.

    Someone has to spoil the show... it might as well be me.... 2 things... I see your floor is scratched, you might wanna invest in felt pads for your equipment & furniture... #2, have you ever listened to the same ‘ol droning music looping for 20 minutes? Please, that looping music almost made me stick some pencils in my ears to rupture my drums... bonus tip, cover your mic with a small dead cat, you got hot a couple of times... on the bright side, the video sans the music was quite enjoyable. Loved the model as well. Looking forward to more. Thanks again, & remember, this was meant to help. If you only hear how good you are doing, it will take longer to get better. ☮️

    fabulous! thank you for the effort and the sharing. as a flash newbie (actually i am terrified of flash!), perhaps a YT vid for us. are you concerned about the ambient light in the space? capture one for the tethering support? always FF? how much resolution is enough? i am an appreciative subscriber. stay well. thumbs

    • @EmilyTeague
      @EmilyTeague 3 роки тому

      I'm not concerned about the ambient lighting because the flash will overpower it. Yes to Capture One- it's great for tethering and so powerful for editing. FF being full frame? If so yes! And for how much resolution is enough, I suppose that depends on what you're shooting and where it's going. Hope this helps! :)

    Just feels like an ad for V-flats. I've never seen a tutorial where reflectors were mentioned so many times. The point of a one light setup video is, as she said, for folks with less equipment.... so it's not really helpful to those folks if her answer to everything is a pair of giant, room-sized panels.
