Interesting list. But as a Belgian, I am curious how you rate the next players (also regular starters), who are also U23 and are seen as young talents destined for a big league team: - Krepin Diatta (Club Brugge) - Charles De Ketelaere (Club Brugge) - Marco Kana (Anderlecht) - Zinho VanHeusden (Standard) - Jeremy Doku (Anderlecht) - Maarten Vandevoordt (Genk) - Albert Sambi Lokonga (Anderlecht)
I think an obscure league that would be interesting to do is the A-League in Australia. Also the Scandinavian leagues, such as Norway or Sweden. Enjoying these types of videos, thanks for the great content.
As a Genk fan, I've seen a lot of talents pass the club in the last years (KDB, Milinkovic, Berge, Ndidi, Koulibaly, ...) and we got some more coming. Lucumi, Cuesta, Vandevoordt, Thorstvedt, Heynen, Wouters and Paintsil are already established players in the club, and during the latest friendlies, some younger academy players got their time too. Dwomoh (16 year old CDM), Oyen (17 year old attacker), Adewoye (20 year old CB) and Sierra (18 year old CM) have proven that the future looks bright. As it stands, the average age of our squad is around 22,5 years which is impressive considering we have a 35 year old GK and a 29 year old CB. It's good to see the club invest in our own youth again and I'm really looking forward to the future.
Yeah 21 years old, a very promising LB and even more young talent to add to the squad. Really looking forward to see him play as we really could use a (back-up) LB.
Vandevoordt is currentuy battling with Vukovic for the first spot but there is no doubt that Vandevoordt will be our main goalkeeper in the main future as Vukovic is already 35 The best Belgian youngster is a hard one. I’d say Doku from Anderlecht is the biggest talent at the moment, although a lot of clubs have some great Belgian talents coming up
Can you make a video on the SaveTheCrew movement and how the entire MLS pitched in to prevent the Columbus Crew from moving to Austin? A great story on how football and passion won against greed. And yes. I'm not giving up.
Would also recommend Marco Kana. From a FM20 point of view, he needs regular first team football from a young age to turn him into a world class player.
Anderlecht has been giving chances to more and more youth players, maybe a bit too many due to our succes with players like Lukaku, Kompany, Tielemans, Praet, Saelemaeckers, Bornauw, ... At the moment we have at least 4 youngsters at the kick-off every single match. Kana, Doku, Sambi Lokonga (most loved one), Verschaeren, Sardella, Kayembe, Amuzu, ... Last season Verschaeren, Sambi and Kana were starting players when fit.
Seriously: Doku, Kana, Vanheusden, De Ketelaere and Diatta are all better than most others on this list and all younger than Lucumi who is on the list for some reason
Lucumi has won the Belgian league title as a regular starter, he has played in the Europa League and Champions League, he has caps for his national team and he's still 22 years old. The names you said are bigger talents but Lucumi stands out because of his experience despite his young age. Although I'd have to agree that Cuesta is a bigger talent than Lucumi lmao
As a Belgian I have to say that I don't agree with such a statement. We have a talented generation of players that are capabel of winning. But in no way should we deserve it but rather something we need to earn.
Hey Tifo Football, I really love your content! You make it easy to understand and definitely engaging for viewers. Could you please make a video about Kepa Arrizabalaga and his recent form? Very unusual of him to be playing the way he is (not attempting to approach the ball when saving, being slow to react or not even trying to save shots, etc.) It could be that he lacks confidence and/or the defensive back line at Chelsea is also not doing well, which explains why he isn't really 1st choice at Chelsea anymore.
So happy you guys covered the Jupiler Pro League, a hotspot for young talents. Really hope you guys do more videos about Belgian domestic football. Doesn't get the attention it deserves. One player I'm surprised was not mentioned at all is Charles de Ketalaere (Club Brugge). He's very versatile, being able to play in the center of the park or on either wing. He broke into the Club Brugge first team this past season, and has both Champions League and Europa League experience. Nevertheless, great job Tifo, and keep up the good work. P.S. You can't do a series like this without the Eredivisie 😁
These are really interesting videos and really give you a feel of what scouting is like and the things that can be highlighted. Also goes without saying but great research as well
its kinda amazing how Belgium out of nowhere suddenly in the 2010s turned into a really good European squad w/ their golden generation (with no signs of slowing down).
It's actually slowing down. Their defenses mostly are over 30. Need to improve and youngster has to move to top 5 league. Kabesele and Boyata are not convincing.
@@PalataoBola0 you're right. Our defence is a big problem. I think the line up for belgium if their first game back will be in 2022 would be tricky in the defence. With the 3 man defence they play with eventually wingbacks on the flanks if possible would be alderweireld in his last season i fear, alongside jason denayer and maybe botaka or, if he grows in a really fast pace, zinho vanheusden. The mudfield would be starting to age and the attacking flanks as well but they will have, at that moment, maybe 2 more years to achieve something
Your content is awesome and always of the highest quality! I just had a suggestion for a potential video which may be of interest. Juve won Serie A the other day and in turn that meant that by the age of 29, Danilo won his 5th different top flight league title (more than any other player) as well as the Copa Libertadores and the Champions League. I think it would make for a fantastic "Brief History of"
im an admirer of jhon lucimi as im a spurs fan as we also have a colombian center back in davidson sanchez and i have watched lucimi play and i think he would be the perfect replacement for jan vertonghen and he could help replace the belgium wall with the colombian one of him and sanchez
As a Ghent fan, I know how they play. They actually play in a 4-4-2 with a diamond shape in the middle. Jonathan David plays as the attacking midfielder, behind the two strikers (most of the time Yaremchuk and Depoitre). David sometimes falls out to the flanks to open up the game and create space for the midfielders behind him (Vadis Odjidja and Sven Kums) to shoot or infiltrate.
I really hope you win the league this year since we're still not ready to battle for it. Your football is more enjoyable to watch than Brugge's and I just like Gent way more than Brugge. Seeing how Gent bought to get more depth in the squad, I also hope you do well in Europe and hopefully the Champions League!
It´s a good thing that Dennis got some attention after scoring those two goals against Real Madrid, regardless of their performance that day, because he might be a good player for the clubs that will be interested in him in the future, though we can´t be sure if he will keep up his good work later on.
David almost always played as a CAM and not as a striker. That makes his output all the more impressive. I’ve watched him play IRL a couple of times and he truly is something special. It would surprise me if he doesn’t have a starting spot in one of Europe’s top teams in the next five years. His versatility, stamina, composure and pace make him, just as his fellow Canadian Davies, a freightening prospect.
David normally plays as a CAM in the 4-1-2-1-2. Just the last month or two of the season he played as one of the strikers cause of the injury of Yaremchuck
I think he would get plenty of first team football, he would probably be rotating with all three attacking positions and that has been Uniteds problem depth I can easily see he getting 30+ games starting next season
You really did not mention one of the biggest upcoming talents in the world! Jeremy Doku is by far the prodigy... Don’t forget guys as Sambi Lokonga, Marco Kana ...

Really great video series! I'm really curious to see from what other countries will we get to see promising young players. Also, will you be doing another series of Sensible Transfers for the summer transfers? Because i would be really interested to see that, especially for Chelsea as they have made big moves already and they i imagine that they would be looking/are looking for another goalkeeper and for players to help strengthen their defense.
Suggestion. Loved the video about Tromsø, even if you got pretty sloppy with details. How about Rosenborg, when Nils Arne Eggen was coach. 13 times league winners. A then record of qualifing for CL 10 times in a row. A squad with almost interely Norwegians. A juggernaut in Scandinavian football, with no equals
The comparison of Verschaeren and Hazard is not really accurrate imo. Hazard is more the explosive dribbler while Verschaeren does not have the acceleration for this type of play. He is technically more refined though than Hazard, and I would say his playing style is more like Iniesta.
Could you do this series for some countries/region’s outside of Europe? Brazil, Argentina, as well as maybe as certain regions like an Asia, African or CONCACAF Top 5!
Lads I'm all for using statistics to back up arguments, but sometimes I find myself zoning out when you're listing statistic after statistic. Having these statistics available is great and using them to argue your point is vital, but what about spacing them out a bit? Talk about one and give us some comparisons or just qualify it a bit more rather than just listing number after number yknow? Being a bit picky but I generally love the content guys so keep it up.
Based on the defence winning titles video, can you clarify on a video if there is a trend where none goals scored equals more games won and less goals conceded equals less games lost?
