The way that MLS has started to accumulate South American talent can really help the league become entertaining along with American homegrown talent.
They gotta sign up thiago almada before a European club does
MLS lacks in defensive depth in my opinion. Almost no pressing at all and its frustrating sometimes how easy it is for offensive side to roam freely on final third.
it's been that way for 10 years or so but now the focus is more on young SA rather than established ones (eg Almiron)

Tifo: Helping everybody that plays FM
This is facts😂
Also fifa career mode
Arun Subramanian career mode is a joke
FIFA career mode belongs in the trash 🗑️. Why scout young players in FIFA when literally after a few yrs you can buy any and every player. FM...... It's not happening.
@@FreshTrimPigTheGoat I really liked FIFA for a long time bcuz the one thing it has over FM is the fact you can get out on the pitch and control your players BUT I'm a big fan of rebuilding teams. It seems like you are as well and that's why I'm confused that u say FIFA is better in that aspect bcuz there are so many real world dynamics to rebuilding a in FM. Having to deal with real world restrictions (work permits in England, in China you can only have 3 foreign players in your playing squad) actually having to deal with your budget. FIFA is very easy to get a squad going. As long as u have money you get any player. It's not realistic. I was controlling Reines and brought Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, & Ibrahim Konate to my squad via transfer. In reality they would never come here because it's a step down. In FM the team might accept your bid but the player won't bcuz it's a step down or if you bid for them they selling squad will try to drive the price way up, especially if they've recently signed. It's so much better than FIFA
You forgot Brenden Aaronson
Kinda surprised Brendan Aaronson and Mark Makenzie weren’t in this vid. Both had Europeans scouts watching them last night agains Sporting KC.
now both are doing quite well with starts in Europe and solid performances for KRC Genk and RB Salzburg respectively. Exciting futures for the both of them
My dream is to become a professional footballer. I come from a not so good neighborhood in Canada, I love everything about football from the pitch to the tactics and skills. I would literally play this game for free if it actually means I’m a footballer. Hopefully in the next few years I will sign for a club
Good luck
Try out for mls
Try a CPL club or even walk in to MLS academy. If not, you could try and earn your coaching badges.
I wish south Africa had the same opportunities. Would love to play football, even for nothing just to show my worth.
Come play in the american southwest or texas. That way your also close to liga mx teams. A bunch of ligamx scouts and academys operate on the american border as well.
loving this series! Tifo>>>>
0:11 There’s some aggressive Canadian foreign policy right there!!! 👀
For those wondering... Alaska
@@PGDJ88 Greenland, too.
Canada VS the world, just casually absorbing land from two other sovereign nations.
@@GabrielPeregrina Denmark and America... Morten Andersen in shambles
Apparently Alaska got so sick of Trump they joined Canada.
Speaking of the MLS, can you make a video on the SaveTheCrew movement and how the entire MLS pitched in to prevent the Columbus Crew from moving to Austin? A great story on how football and passion won against greed.
Never really won Austin’s mls team got a cheaper deal than most recent mls clubs
@@matthewsmith8727 Thanks to Don Garber...
Agent P he’s an embarrassment he knows nothing about football every club he goes too it’s the same old copy and paste speech mls needs somebody with football experience to govern the league
Been playing a Toronto FC career on FIFA recently and its got me into MLS. FIFA can be toxic but one thing I'll credit it for is spiking my interest in other leagues and teams
if you like it for those reasons then play FM. You'll likely find yourself browsing different nation's teams and looking at their trophy cabinets and history
@@hawkinsstern5356 Oddly enough I do this on Wikipedia already. Well I've done it already, not everywhere, but plenty. it's usually a good read.
did you sell Jozy or Keep him? I usually buy a new GK when I play with TFC.
@@69gvfb kept for a season and then sold half way through the next season for 10.3 million dollars when he was agitating to play more. Sold first choice keeper and brought one through the ranks but also got a keeper on a free agent as backup (which ended up being pointless actually because a keeper from the academy has now surpassed him at 67)
Hawkins Stern exactly
You put Alaska as part of Canada in your thumbnail lol
0:11 y'all made Greenland and Alaska part of Canada lmao
I just wanna say a few things;
1) This has become one of my favourite YT channels for sure, wish I found it earlier. Saying that I have more to binge on so, silver linings.
2) You deserve more subs, though I have no doubt they will come in time. High quality content like this is not so easy to find.
3) It's interesting hearing the development over time. Feels like your audio setup and/or production has gotten better as your channel has grown.
Cheers
And to you too
This was really good. I was hoping you broke down American's in the Bundesliga. Then I remembered you've already done that video.
Cole Basset over Brenden Aaronson???
18-year-old Gianluca Busio for Sporting KC and 20-year-old Ayo Akinola for Toronto FC have been the standout young players during the MLS is Back tournament. Busio is definitely the most intriguing prospect in the league in my opinion. Expect a European move for him before he turns 21. Rossi for LAFC is good, but his numbers are inflated by a powerhouse LAFC offense. Honorable Mention to 21-year-old Vancouver Whitecaps third string goalie Thomas Hasal, who suddenly was thrust into a few games of the tournament and did not allow a goal in his 202 minutes of play. Singlehandedly brought a bad Vancouver team to penalties against Sporting KC.
Thomas Hasal is a seriously good talent. Could take over Crepeau as Canada's No. 1
You should check out Brian Rodriguez from LAFC too!!
His assists have been top tier
Yea he’s not that good tbh
@@timo_2236 rrrright, so I imagine you can do soooo much bettah. Get back in your clown car and GTFOH!!
Brenden Aaronson as a central attacking midfielder for the Philadelphia Union is also exciting to watch at age 19
I liked the T I F O button layout on the “switch”
Yes! Let’s get more content related to Asian, African, and North American football
Really good content. Thanks for working so hard to bring 100% fresh and high reports
Many mistakes here, who came up with the list. Especially the Honorable Mentions.
Carlos Coronel doesnt play for Philadelphia and has been back at RB Salzburg since July of 2019, a whole year ago. Hes also not particularly good for Philly or Salzburg the opportunities he's received and if you'd like the top young goalkeepers in MLS David Ochoa and JT Marcinkowski are much more promising
Auston Trusty joined Colorado from Philadelphia 6 months ago, but getting his team wrong isnt even the most egregious mistake. It completely ignores his fellow academy product CB Mark Mckenzie who is younger, far more talented, and far more coveted in Europe.
Jordan Hamilton does not play for Toronto, he plays for Columbus and has done so for a whole year. He also isnt particularly young or particularly good. Hes 24 and has never been a starter in MLS. I dont understand.
Honorable mentions is missing Brian Rodriguez. LAFC spent 11.5 million after his U20 WC and hes already starting and scoring for Uruguay senior team last fall. He has far more potential than Rossi too.
Gianluca Busio isnt mentioned but broke through starting his first MLS game at 16 and now had a bid of 4 million from Fiorentina last winter.
How on earth is Basset in the top 5 though?? thats ridiculous, especially since hes not even the 5th best AMERICAN U21 midfielder, let alone imports. Hes a decent enough youngster getting reps in the 1st team but Paxton Pomykal is out here dogging MLS as one of the best players in the entire league. Last summer he shut down Bayern-bound Michaele Cuisance and France U20's stacked midfield at the WC. Brendan Aaronson is loads more interesting and likely to play at the highest leagues too
Hell if we're naming Rapids I really dig Sam Vines's game, he's a bit older but pretty solid IMO
So again this type of video has a lot of mistakes... wonder why they're so poor researched
Hamilton was behind Altidore most of the time in Toronto. When he did play, his technique is rather poor and a reputation for a lazy work rate.
they should really start researching these better
To not have Chris Mueller in the top 16 is baffling to me. He's scored 1 more in the same number of games as Barco in a way worse team for most of their games. He's been one of Orlando's best players even last year.
Thousands of people: "interesting"
Me, a player of football manager: "ah yes the chosen ones"
That last graphic is way off. Coronel was only on loan with the Union, Auston Trusty plays for the Rapids, and Jordan Hamilton players for Columbus Crew
Yeah and neither Coronel nor Hamilton should be on there. Aaronson/Akinola are glaring omissions on the other hand. Even with small samples.
Not including Brendan Aaronson makes me question everything else you guys do.
This is outside tifo’s normal window of expertise.. its the mls... what is there to say? Not mentioning one player is hardly a reason to doubt them especially since they have years and years of quality content about the top 5 leagues....
@@corvus2512 check their other videos surrounding young prospects from different leagues and you will see the same criticism. I think they might be getting something wrong
@@corvus2512 Brendan Aaronson is like the name everyone's been talking up this season.
@@NeonLeonNoel “everyone... who watches mls” my point is they dont, thats all
I love this series thanks you really bring attention to young players in leagues that I don't really watch. I'm going to look out for these players when I watch MLS.
Great vids as always your presentation 😍🤩🤩
Brendan Aaronson is definitely one to be added to the list. Kid is talented.
Excellent video. Would love to see more of this series!
More MLS content please!!! Loved this
It's nice seeing so many of our players on this list, and having one of our best as the first featured player. In bob we trust.
Gianluca Busio from Kansas City is a very exciting young creative midfielder who deserves mention as well
An idea for this series is that when you’re done with a player profile, you can compare him to a player that he can emulate or his play style resembles. For example “Player X is primarily and 8 who has exceptional passing, can drive forward with the ball and his diminutive stature allows his to turn on a dime. Player X can be compared/ plays a similar game to Iniesta
No idea how Philadelphia’s Aaronson and McKenzie were overlooked. Not even honorable mentions. Hope to see a video on these, especially aaronson, before they make the move to Europe in the upcoming transfers windows
Love this series
Loving this! Great as always.
Could you do one of the Superliga (Argentina's football league)? Thank you!!!
Love the series! MLS is one to look out for. Will it be a large dip south as you look at some of the south American leagues prospects in their home nations?
Please make a video on AC Milan in 2020. This has been an incredible team to watch since Ibra's return.
Ok let me put this as transfer targets in FM.
Brendan Aaronson, Mark McKenzie?!
Tifo sliding in that hamburger like we wouldn't notice 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Tifo , would really appreciate if you made a video on Klopp and Pep's Tactics and formations. Also give your thoughts on how do you break through them and defeat em.
More of this series!!
kind of sad Jackson Yueill isn't here.
he's 23
Very sad :(
I know this isn’t a video on the french league but I’m curious on what you think about Houssem Auoar. Great videos keep up the good work!
MLS ♥️
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪
How does one work with u guys?I love ur guys work
Amazing. Hope they can do one at the end of the season. And a beginning of the season too.
Batari Sphinx... Love it!
Great series, hope you do serie A brazilera and superliga argentina
Brendan Aaronson is the best young player in MLS and unlik some of the ones this video mentioned, he is actually homegrown and academy made. Union or Death motherfuckers. The Pride of Pennsylvania Christian Pulisic is about to be joined in Europe by Aaronson.
Agreed. Solid eye for talent mate.
One episode about Brasil please!! I was hoping it would be part of the series
Ay, you're one of the creators on the rise in Egypt.
Nice
I really thought Brendan Aaronson was going to make this list. This kid is the real deal.
I've long thought that Barco's best role in the future would be that of the "enganche," so it is interesting to see that the stats ratify that hunch. Here's hoping the new Atlanta coach will give him that role, then...
James Sands just signed with Rangers and Cole Basset is now at Feyenoord. Their careers seem to be just getting underway as teams on UCL/UEL caliber teams in lower leagues.
Do from Serbia next! Great video btw!
Can you do Scotland please?
Also good video peeps 🙂
I am excited at the prospect of the MLS going more towards a development league instead of a retirement league. I do hope for the occasional icon to still wander over for a bit to help mentor and draw a bit of a crowd though.
Brenden Aaronson on Philadelphia, lads. Second only to Rossi in potential. Bundesliga is eyeing him and with good reason.
If a similar video for the A-League is made that’ll be mint 👌
Auston Trusty is now with the Colorado Rapids btw
and their 4th best CB and not very good. inaccurate and not good enough
Do one with scandinavia please:)
You think Diego Rossi has more potential than Brian Rodríguez?
Interesting.
He's played 17 games mate calm down
Diego Rossi has been here for a while and should be on his way out soon. Brian Rodriguez still has time in MLS
@@tom_abbott i've seen him play for Peñarol and Uruguay, not so much in the MLS
@@fargoflagrant7796 Hes struggled in MLS until his 2nd season. It was just normal adaptation period, at the same time he scored no goals and got no assists last autumn he was scoring many goals for Uruguay. I definitely think he has more potential too. Also Rossi is always going to score more than Rodeiguez because Rossi makes hard runs to tap in balls inside the 6, but is a far less dynamic player overall
While he was individually ineffective for LAFC last season having little success on the dribble and finishing chances, he was instructed to play very, very wide and pull his defender to the sideline creating more room for Rossi and Vela to make runs.
Brian Rodriguez performance was pretty disappointing in this mls is back tournament
This has to be a joke from Tifo. They haven't even tried with this one. The players below didn't even make the honorable mention team.
There is no mention of Brenden Aaronson is being scouted by literally half the Bundesliga. Plus, the German tabloids have called him the "American Havertz."
There is also no mention of Giancarlo Busio. Busio was recently scouted by Juve and Sporting KC holds an offer of $4 million from Fiorentina for him.
Mark McKenzie is being heavily linked with a move to Celtic and has been on the MLS team of the week 3/4 weeks-no mention.
Ayo Akinola scored a hat trick during the MLS is back tournament and is not even mentioned.
*Gianluca* Busio...and as a Sporting fan even I’d say that while I’m excited by his potential, his current product wouldn’t merit mention here.
it seems like every video about this they've made is immediatly faced by criticism, I wonder where they're getting their sources then...
Busio and Akinola haven't really established themselves as starters in MLS so far, which is probably why they aren't mentioned, I guess?
Aaronson and McKenzie I was surprised not to see even mentioned at the end. There were a couple other Union players, maybe they imposed a limit per team? Even if so, still dumb they weren't on it. (That being said I kinda find the "American Havertz" line cringy, but to each their own lol)
Yeah, and while Paxton Pomykal was listed as another to watch, he really should’ve been talked about specifically in the video, Rossi was probably the only u23 better than him last year.
@@12mountain I watched him against MNUFC and wasn't overly impressed. However, when talking about young players in MLS, it's foolish to leave him off the "other players to keep an eye on" list. Especially when he is garnering so much foreign interest.
Can i say ayo akinola really has a future the toronto fc forward
please do a video on why liverpool are not signing anyone . i love your channel.
Should do one about Scandinavia. Lots of good talent that has come out of the Norwegian and Danish leagues in recent years. As a follower of the Norwegian league I would say 5 good prospects are:
- Emil Bohinen (Stabæk) / 21 year old CM
- Jens Petter Hauge (Bodø/Glimt) / 20 year old LW
- Patrick Berg (Bodø/Glimt) / 22 year old DM
- Odin Thiago Holm (Vålerenga FK) / 17 year old AM
- Christian Dahle Borchgrevink (Vålerenga FK) / 21 RB
Other noteworthy prospects: Andreas Hanche-Olsen (Stabæk), Osame Sahraoui (Vålerenga FK), Fredrik Andre Bjørkan (Bodø/Glimt), Joshua Kitolano (Odds BK)
As a supporter of NYCFC I'm happy Tifo showcased James Sands but I'm a bit perplexed that he didn't add Brendon Harrison or Mark McKenzie from the Union those two got the right stuff you want in a backline and a midfield.
dear tifo do individual tactical profiles for young upcoming players, please. especially the evolution of marcos llorente
0:12 When did Greenland become a part of Canada?
And Alaska
Good analysis. However, I would argue Rossi's LAFC teammate Brian Rodriguez has more long term potential due to his pace and dribbling.
Your graphic at the beginning makes it look like Alaska is part of Canada.
while there no doubt MLS isn't quite at the level of top leagues, it's been improving markedly. it's exciting seeing that teams are developing potential young stars
Can you please make the best young Italian players? 🙏❤️
Make a analysis video on 2019/20 Juventus and sarri's tactics as why he can't able to hold the expectations?
What about Efrain Alvarez?
I'm a Galaxy fan and I'm concerned about his lack of pace, although GBS playing him out wide didn't help.
Can't wait to see the Brazilian episode!
Jordan Hamilton is now with Columbus Crew.
If you are looking for a young Toronto talent I'd offer both Ayo Akinola and Liam Fraser. Jayden Nelson is likely to be an up-and-coming talent but at 17 hasn't found enough playing time.
do one on the eredivisie
Could you take a look at the young talent coming out in Argentina.
Please do one for Italy🙏🏽
How did you miss Brandon Aaronson?!?
Would love this for the SPFL
could you do 5 best young talents from australia
Please do the A-League of Australia
Luis Binks should’ve been an honourable mention, in my opinion.
Tifo love your but can you make video of surinam 🇸🇷 and players love from surinam
A Brazilian League video would be fantastic, wr have tons of young upcoming stars, look out for Jean Pyerre from Grêmio, he is called of "Brazilian Pogba", because of the phisycal similarities. But his playing style is more like De Bruyne. FUTURE STAR
From the "12 Others to Keep an Eye On", Coronel and Trusty aren't at Philly anymore, and Jordan Hamilton hasn't played for Toronto for a while.
I want a video for Brazils youngsters
need more MLS content! this league is slowly becoming a hotbed for talent. Tyler Adams, Alphonso Davies, Miguel Almiron, Matt Miazga, Deandre Yedlin, Zach Steffen, Chris Richards, etc.
Jordan Hamilton doesn’t play for Toronto anymore btw, plays for Columbus Crew now
Netherlands next please!
Can you guys please look at the HNL
You should do one based on The best young talent in Brazil right now
Jesus Ferreira is interesting too, he's an absolute terror to defenders on fifa
It looks like you'll just have to do a whole video on Brendan Aaronson and Mark McKenzie now 😁
Nothing on Aaronson over at Philly?
Do you think it's more advantageous for young South American players to move to the MLS? I know currently with top European clubs enormous scouting networks you can still get signed from South America (thinking lautaro and Josef the first time) but would the high potential, later bloomers (think barco and Josef the second time) get a boost from a jump to a bigger budget league with a quickly improving level of football like the MLS, Belgian, Austrian and Norwegian leagues (mostly talking about MLS because it's closer to home and has a larger Spanish and Portuguese speaking population)?
Honourable mention - Santiago Munez
