Just a side note : NEVER use a grinder with a saw blade disc (4:09) unless it is something very one-off or with extremely soft or rotten wood. Always use the circular saw like in 3:12. It's amazing how many fingers and hands people have lost by doing that because they just don't know about tools. The saw blade discs on a grinder often get stuck in the wood causing the grinder to bounce back into your hands and body.
Niklas (the man teaching me) told me the same. I will definitely not use a saw blade on a grinder. Thank you so much for looking out for me and the others reading this 🙏🤗
I know I am too fussy about safety standards but that circular saw disc fitted on that angle grinder is something needs a real dare man to use. I don't say I have never used such things but when I see tools like that I always start counting my fingers and being happy to have all the 8... Ok, joking... 😂 I love your videos because of these real life things.
I liked that you got involved with understanding what work needed doing and I like how the guy explained things to you. I am really surprised how the older houses are built quite crudely. mixing straw and mud is a very old technique used to build houses as a eco friendly method even today, google cob houses . Anyway, if your workman had used a spirit level, he would have known that either the wall was too high or the new piece of wood that placed there was too low. interesting video, I liked it😊
Ah yes eco friendly cob houses! I'm sure it looked good many years ago but now it is falling so I am happy I can help Niklas to fix his roof and he teaches me since he has many years experience 🙏

Hi Kath! This is Niklas and Melli house. I'm helping Niklas with his roof and teaching me how to so I know what to do when my roof needs some tlc. I should have made that more clear in the video. Sorry about the confusion! I live in one room in my house (on the other side of the village) because I only want to heat 1 room through winter. It would be expensive and unnecessary imo to heat the whole house with electric and fire. I can be very cozy over winter in one room. I love it already!
Oh , we have a house in the Pomorie area which I intend to live in full time next year after I've had a knee replacement operation. Our house in typically Bulgarian with basement living room, kitchen and a corridor attached by an external staircase to the upstairs accommodation of three rooms a modern bathroom and a corridor. We have two woodburners one upstairs in our bedroom and one in the downstairs living room plus a wood burning pectka for winter cooking. I'm thinking of having an internal staircase installed but am aware of one room living in winter and would do that if needs be.
