- A motorcycle lesson on planning ahead, awareness of other road users & how our actions might affect them. This upload also covers the correct use of the brakes, gears, and general motorcycling procedures to pass the DVSA DAS motorcycle module 2 test.
Two students on a live lesson, building their skills towards the module 2 test. Riding 125cc motorbikes, they are practising good use of the machine controls, learning to brake smoothly, change gear at the correct time, get up to speed, plan for junctions and ensure they take and give the correct information to other road users through their position, signals, and observations.

Dont stamp on the lever its bad for the bike.. Yep been there done that!!😂 You certainly learn how gearboxes work by breaking and having to fix them!

Adam seemed to be struggling with the frame size of the bike and not finding pedals easy to manipulate. I had the same issue being 6ft4 and well built. Was so glad to get onto bigger frame / engine displacement bikes. Great upload. Thanks.
Thanks, yes sometimes you giants can find things a touch more tricky on the smaller bikes (not so much of an issue for tiny tots like me 😂). Thanks for the comment ☺️

like your videos very clear and thorough on what you're supposed to be doing, lm going for my final mod2 test and need some pointers on entering motorways on slip roads to merge with traffic also overtaking & exiting with observations etc, do you have any vids on this if not would appreciate if you could do 1
Thank you. I only have one video on motorway riding, and I'm not sure I cover joining it in depth. I'll add it to the list though, thank you for the suggestion . The main points are:
Get your speed up on the slip road to match the speed of the traffic you are joining.
Avoid getting into the blind spot of any vehicles in lane one on the road you are joining (either aim to join ahead or behind them).
When joining, consider the traffic in lane 2 moving into lane 1, not looking for you, as you also move into it from the opposite side.
Always do a lifesaver as the last thing you do before you join. There can be something as big as a lorry in your blindspot.
Allow yourself time to acclimatise to the new road before rushing to change lanes once on the main carriageway.
Check your mirrors more than once to assess the speed of following vehicles. Look once to see them, look again to assess how much ground they've covered since your first look. This will help you change lanes safely, without causing other vehicles to have to brake.

Hi Leanna… love watching and listening to your videos and explanations… 1 quick question… would you have more control of the lead rider and in fact both riders if you were in the middle?? Just an observation. Danny
Hi Danny, thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. I definitely prefer to be behind both students: we position ourselves so that we can see fully ahead of them both, and it is much easier to anticipate hazards ahead than behind or be trying to watch one rider in the mirrors at the same time as watching a rider ahead. Effectively an instructor is planning much further ahead of the lead rider, through good positioning to gain the view, and years of experience of anticipation and forward planning. Thanks again

Learners tend to be rigid and stiff in their movements but then become more agile, relaxed and able to control the bike's weight rather than it controlling them.
3:11 Bus lane 25 yds long up to a single set of traffic lights... the worlds gone mad. "Beep your horn, drop the bike and not get squished...." 🤣🤣🤣 That should be in the 'Motorcyclists Highway Code'... There sure is a lot for new riders to take on board these days....
