Thanks Potti, I just realised I had forgotten to put the link to your channel in the description! That problem has been solved now :-) I'm not sure if this lock had a brand, there wasn't a name on it, and i got it from a friend with no packaging. I would never say no to locks but i fear that at the moment I may not have anything nice to send back to you! I could send a package to you once I have collected some nice locks, and one or two with that name you might know of, it starts with A :-)

Would you take a look at a TSA007 luggage lock that has a cable loop instead of a shackle. I have forgot my combination :(
Certainly, did you by any chance already send me an email about such a lock? Or is that somebody else?
first time for me... I just left attached to the expansion zipper and used an older lock that I knew the combination to.
Oh that's funny, somebody else emailed me about the same problem. I think the process should be the same, just pull tension on the wire loop. If that fails and you really need in to the suitcase then pick the lock on the bottom, this is where TSA agents use a special key to inspect your suitcase.
Hobby Picker, how would you pick a cable lock that has 4 digits (wheels) but has a button you push to release the cable from the lock? It is also resetable by pushing in on a small surface-flush button until it clicks and stays pushed in. You set your numbers and when you push the end of the cable back into the lock, the little reset button pops back up to flush with the housing and you have your new combo. I just bought this stupid lock for my son's scooter and somehow dicked up the process...even though I got it right several times in the store before I bought it

Benji Taylor certainly, you must line up the shackle with it’s hole and apply a downward pressure, follow the steps shown in the video to find the gates 👍hope this helps, thanks for watching!

Follow the same steps but instead of pulling out on the shackle, line up the shackle as if you were about to close it, and apply tension by pushing down continuously on the shackle. If you have issues understanding this let me know.

I have a brinks 3wheel resettable lock that is locked in the 180 degree from "locking" position. I believe this is the position to change combo. The shackle is in the down or locked position, how do I find code? Same as if it were 180 deg and in the actual locking position?

My fingers are NUMB by holding the lock...it did not work on my Lince 3 wheels suitcase lock.

Just copy the same steps as shown but instead of pulling on the shackle, line up the shackle with hole it goes into and hold downward pressure on it. Thanks for watching!

Hobby Picker My lock is facing the other way so It won’t allow me to align it up like I’m closing it
@@earlybirdgetstheworm9352 I see, is there a slot directly below the stub that sticks out of the shackle? Try the 'pushing down' decoding method in whatever position it seems to be jammed in. If you get stuck feel free to send me an email (address in video description)

If you are trying to close the padlock then follow the steps shown in the video, but instead of pulling on the shackle, push down on the top.

You just felt the right combination !?
That's right, you just feel the differences in movement! The key is in the jiggling motion you make with the dials, some dials will be harder to jiggle than other dials, that's how you tell the difference.
I know this is late but for some reason my lock has locked backwards and I don’t know how to unlock it

when do you put tension and when do you release it?
Resdep 2001 You pull tension and turn the dials to try and find a ‘gate’, if the gate turns out to be a false one, then you have to release the tension and allow you to turn the dial out of the gate, and pull tension again once the dial is out of the gate.

@@HobbyPicker it took awhile but l managed to unlock my loctote combination lock.
This is the second time it happened on same lock, so l don't know why or how the combination numbers changes by itself without me changing it.
