Okay, one of the biggest things to praise about these are the animations, but can we give some praise to the settings as well? The way he sets up these wonderful areas takes a lot of skill, it really does feel like somewhere we'd see in halo... unlike the PS2 game from paramount...
Lol I swear you Halo neckbeards are the hardest to please. I'm grateful a HALO show even got approved in the first place. It's not nearly as bad as people paint it out to be.
@@apollodorus4759 you mindless SHILL, every aspect about that Shipshewana other than some of the sound effects and armor design were shit. Don't even TRY to defend that godawful story.
that was a feast for the eyes and ears from beginning to end. the Jackal with a shield got kicked so hard he turned into a Crunch candy bar from Nestle.
The fact that the S-III sniper is resorting to his magnum once they touched down goes to show that SODAZ knows what he's doing when it comes to combat. Unlike that one scene in the Halo TV show where Kai was using her sniper for close quarters engagement.
There's actually 3 schools of thought. - use the rifle, as it's readily available. It's overkill but safer. - use the sidearm to preserve more 14.5mm ammo for the sniper. - be smarter and bring a BR55HB since it works out to 950m effectively and hits like a truck.
I can definitely say the weight of all the movements and characters is one of your strong suits, nothing feels floaty or lightweight. I especially liked the way the Covenant weren't just static punching bags, and actually returned fire WITH ACCURACY, even if it didn't cause any real damage with the Spartan's shielding. Just the fact that the shield wielding Jackal pulled it aside to fire on the Spartan speeding towards them made everything feel more "real" in the sense of a firefight.
Love how the Jun lookalike uses his sidearm over the sniper for faster target acquisition. Really gives the spartans a more military yet superhuman feel to it. Stylish but makes sense in the situation.
Every time I watch these, I get sucked in immediately and can't take my eyes off the screen. These few minute clips feel like the start of an awesome movie and I scream when they end
Its not about artists its about their lack of knowledge of handling a product which should have been easier to produce then saying and making new content based on what's already in it. they could had just done what every fan has done and not touch core characters and make new characters by sticking to lore in universe.
FIRST I'm not a bot. Damn, that was awesome seeing the GL in action. I would literally take this any day over the piece of crud we got, it's so crisp and smooth considering one person did this.
So much respect! Comments have already touched on how you preserve the atmosphere of the setting and not just glorify the action parts. See it with your warhammer animations, titanfall, and now halo. Thank you for respecting the setting that these beloved sci-fi series have established. It proves your skill that you are able to make top tier fan animation and still keep the characters or story dear to our hearts. If I’m being completely honest, you’re the reason I got into warhammer. Your imperial fists iron warrior video with the tech priest, it was that spark of humanity that pulled the trigger for me, a detail that I don’t think any other creator I was familiar with would’ve implemented, thank you. I love you SODAZ, keep at it, you are so talented!

I just jizzed my pants off. Literally the psi on that thing was crazy. Seriously though this is amazing!! Please continue to practice your craft and follow where you passions lead.
The details in this minute long masterpiece is phenomenal. The fact you considered actual tactics and logical uses of weapons and equipment really did it for me. Especially when the shield jackel was providing cover for the sniper jackel genius, and when you had the Spartan sniper *actually use his sidearm for standard close to mid range combat* cherry on top well done👍
People are complimenting the animation, the armor choices, the setting, literally everything. And you know what it's called when somebody knows how to get all of these things right? Vision. It's called Vision. This is what 343 Halo and Paramount are missing. None of the people in decision making roles have vision. They're just suits clocking in to collect a paycheck. Hiring Sodaz as an animator or a set builder or a designer would be a terrible waste of their talents, as they would just be controlled by a higher-up in the company that has no vision. The only position you would want Sodaz in would be one where there is no higher-up controlling them.
It's the Mark-V Mjolnir, same stuff Chief wore, just a slightly different variant. It's not a Spartan-III specific thing, it's just who you've seen use it the most.
It’s really cool to see sodaz flesh out the covenants tactics as well and the UNSC’s so that the covenant aren’t just a bunch of meats slavs waiting to get shot
Aside from being beautifully animated, the spartans look sick! Whoever designed those armor designs has excellent taste in Halo Reach armor. The armors in this animation definitely pass the drip check.
Ok so the entire thing is just amazing but I’d like to specifically point out 0:51 when the Spartan starts to pull out the grenade launcher, the way how the sight flips up and the laser sight turns on then he just shoots is perfect
Don't get me wrong the animations are nothing short of incredible, but one detail is the spartans use hand signals and have a light in the helmet appearing green or red to communicate orders for radio silence as the covenant would know exactly where they are and know what there doing so in this instance they would not speak to get out but have the light turn green. You can't see the light but makes the whole thing more spartan accurate.
The swarm of vehicles says this is not a stealth op and they're cleared to go violently loud. Meaning they wouldn't be under radio silence in this scene
I recognize that background chatter!! That’s From World In Conflict, empire was your off map call ins- including light tanks and airborne troops! Well at least the American faction. Also really excited to see the final process
When the falcon takes evasive maneuvers you see the spartans inside take aim towards the banshees - attention to detail, not only that but the falcon does a J-turn like real life helicopters would
That was pretty freaking awesome, you can see how much though and time went into such a small combat scene. Amazing. Like the carbine jackal taking cover behind the one with the shield. And that nade launcher explosion.

@@wanyekest6969 are you DEFENDING paramount's Halo on those irrelevant bases? So what if it's reused assets? Get over yourself

I don't think they have shielding? It could be the armour itself taking the brunt?
@@mjpraetorian4386 I just assumed the effect wasn't added in, due to limitations in time or the engine used itself. Also don't see any plasma scoring.
I think his WH40k animations gave him good practice on that; Space Marines have a lot of tonnage needed to work into their movement to make it sell.
