@@_Boldheart_ My incentive is clearly financial gain. The video clearly conveys that. If it wasn't why would I take the time to salvage the ship and extort a ransom from the citizen?
I believe that's still possible. I haven't tested how much damage it takes to open a Cutlass ramp or air lock door this patch. But not without a fight of course.
Can't repair it at this time, hopefully that comes around with engineering. But even if he could his ship was worth 100k to me once salvaged, I wasn't letting it go. It wasn't shown but I allowed another citizen to fly in safely to pick him up as per my agreement with the hostage.
@@Deffbonez That's awesome! Took a multi-year long break from the game and have never done piracy myself, so I wasn't even aware of the concept of hostage taking, ransoms, etc... great to see emergent gameplay like this becoming a real possibility in the PU!
@@GodsStrongestLeon It's a great time for sure, welcome back. Just keep in mind when it comes to taking hostages it's very dependent on the target's willingness to play out the situation. It's very rare I pirate a player that actually communicates during the encounter. But when they do I try and go for a hostage taking or something similar which is always fun. Otherwise its a straight up execution.
@@kcfox0971 Did you even watch the full video or do you lack the attention span? 30k from the ransom and letting him live then another 100k from my cut of the salvage claim. Do you even know how many pairs of pants I can get for that? I'm flush with pants now.
I say as a Bounty Hunter: Your Videos are very exciting!
I should hope so! I look forward to bounty hunters trying to get between me and my plunder.
i was expecting him to escape in the docked snub
I was very concerned about that. Risks of solo piracy, ha.
Love it!
Space is Dangerous, o7.
This was a great piracy experience!

This wasn't piracy. There's no cargo
@@Patch1xo There doesn't have to be cargo present for it to be piracy.
The difference between piracy and griefing is financial incentive. You are not acting like a pirate. You are acting like a reaver.

Love that you get a 2 crimestat for that whole thing, but accidentally hit an NPC in a bunker and it's straight to 3 😅
haha
couldn't he just steal the cutlas?

i love your videos but i been realizing ur blind lmao @4:42 guy eva to ur ship right side of screen in yellow
Nice catch, I didn't notice that until after I reviewed the footage and gave my head a shake. Was too funny, had to leave it in the video.
If I'm not mistaken, the lame part is that he can't repair his ship from that point can he?

Was this scripted, and done with a friend? Or was this a genuinely organic encounter?
Nothing but organic content on this channel. Nothing is ever scripted.

@@Deffbonez You sound like the Basic ass RPrs from Goldrush. "Now hold on this is a robbery, do you consent?"
@@kcfox0971 Why would I ever ask for consent??? hahahahaha. not once, not ever.
piracy ❌
griefing ✅
Curious to know how you define griefing and piracy.
Yeah man he got a pair of pants out of this great heist.
