The mechanic itself is not bad, but I have 2 major issues with it. I still have to be within 2 km to get the info I want and that's terrible. I now have to manually cycle between tabs within the scan screen on a MFD to see all the information which is also awful to deal with.

You saw correctly. Once the rear compartment's hull health hit zero all damage applied started transferring to the front. So I did much more damage than I'd otherwise have needed too. But I figured the pilot was running for a turret so I played it safe rather than move into its firing arc..... I gave that citizen to much credit.

My knowledge and skill in piracy runs very deep. If you're looking to learn some of it I'm currently running with Blightveil. o7

None taken, we all have different tastes for gaming music. Unfortunately you can't just sell the ship. It has to be scraped, broken down, and disintegrated. I've started to rip weapons and components off where I can as well now. Plunder everything, o7.

I don't believe it will change how I engage any target but its hard to say until its live. I was crippling and boarding ships pre soft-death implementation. So it might go back to feeling more like that. If ships can be repaired and become operational again I may have the opportunity to move a captured ship to a more convenient location, which could be funny. o7

@@Deffbonez I noticed during the AC testing they had open that you can easily cripple a C2 by shooting the neck where the fuse box is, effectively severing the batteries from the rest of the resource network. I suspect many of the ships will have these RN based "vulnerabilities" that might be exploitable for anyone willing to spend enough time exploring the options :)

Destruction of vehicle isn't actually automatic if the owner of the ship is on the server. I believe the pilot of the C1 was afk when I attacked. Otherwise I'm sure he would have charged me for all of it.

Absolutely, but didn't get much for it. Agricultural Supplies already fences for little but contracted cargo fences for EVEN LESS than normal. Salvaging the Ship came to about 200k of RMC and CMat though. Look forward to future attempts to ransom the contracted cargo back to the hauler. Losing rep, time, and the contract pay out is sufficient motivation to pay up, o7.

@@Deffbonez shame CIG screws over legitimate piracy, there should be no difference between contracted goods and their normal counterparts.

1. Missiles are a part of the game 2. Far more than half the fight was gun vs. gun 3. He was clearly happy to fire missiles as well 4. I fought nose to nose the majority of it 5. Why wouldn't I use missiles? It's all fair play

Thanks for the intel, I haven't taken the time to actually salvage a Hull-C. Next Hull-C I take down I'll be sure to squeeze more juice out of it. Towing away and getting rid of all those abandoned ships is doing all of SC a service, o7.

@@Deffbonez that will be a lot easier in 3.24 when they make claimed ships de-powered and unlocked, and relax the laws of salvaging them.

Under key bindings go to vehicle - weapons. Those lines are "precision lines". There's a couple other settings for your pip there as well.

@Deffbonez thank you! I like having a bit more around the pip to more quickly see what's going on. Do those lines indicate enemy ship orientation at all? Something I liked about pre master modes hud was the highlight box would show you the horizontal plane of the enemy ship so.between that and thruster trails you could read their movements fairly well

@@schlagzahne6741 I'm not 100% sure on what the precision lines are really telling me. I wouldn't mind knowing as well if you happen to figure it out.
