An unboxing and little review of the Trick Drums Black Widow Double kick pedal. Super hard to get in Australia at time of purchase, but well worth the money. I have been using it for a while now and it is so amazing.

So excited to get my Pro1-V Bigfoot in July. Owned a pair of demon drives since 2010 and never thought I’d change, until I put my feet on a pair of dominators and everything felt easier
They are the best dude. Nicest pedals ever. Good choice
I have this pedal.. was my first direct drive.. what a feel.. I love mine..strange at first but its now strange to play my other kit with my dw7000... super good pedal.. mine took about 9 months to show after order was placed....
Yeh i struggle to play my dw 9000 now so i sold them. They takes a while to get to you, but well worth it hey 👊🏽
Awesome video man! I just ordered these same pedals. i found em in stock by a miracle. Will be here in a few days. super stoked. Definitely do some update videos on these please!
oh dude your gonna love them, they are so nice and feel amazing. good purchase
Can confirm, they are awesome!
nice
Trick universal joint shaft linkage is best designed- no lag after many hours of playing.. I tried the trick pedals at music store -just weird feeling, not for for me. I went for Yamaha direct drive pedals- Amazing!
Yeh nice man, ive also heard good things about the yamaha pedals 👌🏽
It's criminal that they don't include even a material carry bag. They could make the beaters centred on the head if they made the attachment mechanism adjustable sideways. But they can't be bothered.
Yeh it does seem this way, i do think the pros outway the cons. I have a set of Czarcie Kopyto on the way, so it will be good to compare these 2 direct drive pedals
Just ordered mine this morning...
Your going to love it bro
@@Familyoffour I've been playing with this beast for the last 5 weeks. Man... That is just unbelievable. Why the hell it took me so long to get one of these... LOL
@@benonthedrum7389 awesome as! Definitely worth the money, it feels great. Wicked bro 🥁
I just got my green and black low mass double pedals today and after 2 hours of playing really funky feeling but amazing. Only thing I’ve noticed is the hit seems a tad bit quieter then my 9000s but I think that’s just gonna take some time to adjust to. Double strokes on them are second to none. I played the new pearl demon drives for a few months and absolutely loved them, but I have a feeling when I get comfy on the tricks there gonna blow the pearls away. Or not 🤷🏻♂️🤣
Nice man! Yeh im not a fan of Pearl gear so i wont comment there haha. You will love your trick pedals, so smooth and awesome for double strokes.
@@Familyoffour so far absolutely love them playing the verse of dethrone by bad omens I was like holy sh** these things are legit….struggled with playing the diary of Jane. Slower stuff feels weird I know it will pass with time but fast stuff amazing.
@@dannymarcin1381 yeh it does feel strange at first. Good song choice! I felt i lost a little bit of power in strokes with the slow stuff, i have them setup so i can play the extreme stuff but also the slower paced tunes. Check the link in the videos description and you will see a link to my youtube drumming channel if u wanna have a look 🤘🏽
Iv had mine for 8 months and hate them, unfortunately. That weird feeling is the compression spring. It’s a bad design in my opinion but everybody is different. The spring tension gets tighter the closer the beater gets to the head, so by the end of the stroke you feel like your hitting a wall of resistance . And then if you try and fix it by loosening the spring tension you lose all rebound…I’m giving them one more chance and buying a mod called the R2 bias rod, made by ACD unlimited. It modifies the spring system and is supposed to help fix it and make it feel normal. hope it helps or else I’m selling mine. So if anyone is interested and experienced the same frustration maybe check out that mod.
@@stanleyipkiss3806 I’m on day 3 about 12 hours total time playing and I f’ing love them even at slow tempos now….so I did some experimenting with the “hitting a wall” this is totally just my opinion, but I noticed if you burry the better and lift your leg for a stroke you get that feeling. I personally play lower on the pedal and mostly ankle even at slower tempos and I never have that feeling. There fast pedals don’t take much effort to get a nice loud stroke and I think that’s where people have trouble. My 9000s will never touch my kit again 🤘🏻
Brutal
Cheers Ivan. Thanks for watching man
so expensive and gets delivered in .. cardboard box... not even a case... if you spend that much money get Czarcie Kopyto. Comes in flightcase
Yeh that was one thing i should have mentioned, i was a little disappointed about not getting a case for them, but other than that they are fantastic, how do you find the czarcie kopyto? Do they come in a longboard aswell?
@@Familyoffour i do not own them. I work some festivals and have encountered quite a lot of them... and axis and other stuff. But the Polish tanks stand out that they come in a very nice case. The others had to buy extra Hardcase cases. Don't know if they are longboard. But they go... fast.
@@Svenne1981 would be awesome fun working at festivals!! Thanks for your knowledge on this 👊🏽
Those pedals are almost twice the price haha
