- This video is an unboxing of the Trick Black Widow Hi Hat and the Trick Black Widow BigFoot Pedals. I've been a fan of Trick products since I purchased my first pair of Big Foot's in 2009 and taken note of their expanded product line. I'm glad I waited to purchase a hi hat because I scored a good deal on an open box from Sweetwater.com, which is why the packaging is not directly from Trick. I'll upload a comparison video from the original Bigfoot pedal as well to compare and contrast the new vs. the old.
actually the screw on the direct drive is not for lowering/rising the footboard, its to change the throw making it lighter or heavier, top: shorter stroke bottom: longer heavier and more powerful hit
Man, Trick really are the future of drum hardware manufacturing. I love this.
Looks like the best christmas morning to me!!!!
Nice...been duper-busy with a new job so haven't even opened the box yet...have the hi-hat on back order...my kit is still packed up from my trip to NY...fun fun!!!
Thank You so much for doing this video, you made me wanna but these pedals even more tbh lol
I believe the pieces that connect the bar are just called the contectors but hey lol
Again thank you, plus I didn't even know that Trick had a Black Widow Hi Hat stand.
REALLY blows me away!
Thanks for the video demo, that's amazing hardware.:)
OMG 😱 broo
Amazing pedals
From Brasil
Congratulations 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🎼🎶🎼
Just got mine today. Tinkering with settings now
Awesome!
Looks delicate.
Just ordered my double pedals and hi-hat stand...should see the pedals on Saturday and waiting on the hi-hat...stoked!!! Now I have to get my kit out of storage and cleaned up/set up!!!!!
They are beautifull.
God that thing is awesome! I am so Jealous.
Reminds me of when Axis first started showing up with what seemed like space age tech & appearance.. are there any grippy properties to those footboards ?
I didn't even know that they had the Black Widow Hi Hat stand!
:O
I wish they'd still offer the Predator remote.
Hey Rory , nice video . It came up on my feed after researching and ordering the single bass pedal showing up tomorrow . Whoohoo ! Looks like I need the matching hat pedal now . Aaarrrgg . I am relatively new to drumming . What shoes you using ? They look super comfortable .
ducati750d, I like new balance trail runners for drumming shoes. Enjoy that new pedal!!!
Hey man! great set, would you share the information about the height of the hihat stand? stuck between this an a DW 900 which has 43" of height, but no info about the trick stand.
Opened one up tonight...the drive shaft and pedal is so much beefier than anything I have ever played.....just took a look at one out of the box...have a lot of work to do to get my kit all together before I can mess with them....also be expecting the BW Hi-Hat stand around the end of the month...still considering a new remote hat...debating on the 7' or 3'...
82ND AIRBORNE
Fuccin Badass...
Thinking of getting both soon...any thoughts on their remote hats?
Jason Bashant you will love it if it responds like the normal one. The response/action you get feels very smooth.
Hey brother have a question, these are the new model pedal but ...
What tension system you think is better? Czarcie or Trick?
What you think you can break easier?
Can you make a video explaining how to use the pedal for those who do not know about it?
Greetings.
I don't own the krypto pedal so I can't speak for their brand. But I can for Trick and I love how simple their system works!
I knew Transformers exist, but this... Damn
Does it make it have a completely different feel? Completely different ?
What is different about the Black Widow's vs the standard pro 1-v's other than looking different? Is there a difference?
That Mead With Juniper Berries there is no difference other than colors. :)
@@in_significant they look amazing but $100 for color is steep. To each their own, I'll be ordering these beasts (normal model) in a few days.
Edit: No offense and if you have the money, great, but what is the point of having such a fast hi hat stand? These things are built sturdy and I understand _that_ but the pedals are built for speed as well and in what case would you need such a quick hi hat pedal?
That Mead With Juniper Berries I bought it just because I wanted it all to match :)
On a side note, the high hat works great!
I see you got them a while ago , im thinking on buying ones but still not shure about if I should get the normal prov bigfoot or this black widow ones my concern is the paint ,so my question is , does the pain on the pedals wear of easy ? Like the black n the pedal it self and the black widow logo
no paint. this is anodized. won't wear off.
@@in_significant nice to know ! I guess il get those ones to :) thank you for the info
Ordered the Dominator. On back order till who knows when. Super stoked. Ty for the drum porn.
WHAT DOES IT ACUATULLY DO whats trick about it??
Is there a side to side movement on the pedal? Seems fragile at the connection point
No. These are the best pedals on the market imo.
Stuck between ordering Trick bigfoots or Czarcie Kopyto! Any advice man?
I checked those out, but personally I'd still go with Trick. I'll be uploading the video of the SB-1 triggers as well this week, which is another benefit of these pedals.
Also, these are American made and if you ever needed any parts it will be easier to obtain without crazy shipping and handling.
+Rory Packard well being in South Africa both aren't so easy to obtain haha. the triggers are awesome yes!
Only thing about the tricks I'm worried about is the hoop clamp and the beaters not hitting dead center
+Dave Mills you can adjust them to whatever setting you'd like. The hoop clamp is awesome.
I invested on the Enduro Trick case for my pedals.
f yeah buddy!
How much is it?
They could've just quit making the Alan wrench head on the end of the key to cut down on cost. Rotary broaching can be a pain in the ass
Yes sir. Reckon they do it before the 90 is bent.
I contacted that company out of Poland...the Kopyto or however it is spelled...even with the additional cost and 6- month turnaround time to manufacture, they said they don't ship to the US...something to do with another company and copyright law or something? Probably Trick, I imagine...anyhow...no way to get those so it seemed like a no-brainer after doing some research and reading reviews, etc...
Jason Bashant It's weird if they don't ship to the US. They have US endorsers. Paul from Cannibal Corpse etc.
What are these pedals comparable to?
Vicente Tovar I can't compare these pedals to anything. They sit in a tier of their own. I've played almost all of them out there, but the craftsmanship of Trick is unsurpassed.
Rory Packard what do you think of these vs redlines or czerskies or whatever that German company is?
Aha, i never ever seen an clown hi-hat and pedal before!
What you think about this compared to DW Direct Drive Double Pedal ?
Kim Nordin that's a no brainer, go with the DW's
This dude has no clue what he's talking about.
super...excuse my Swahili...
8:59 no problem my nigga haha
Xaxara Bobo, actually it’s “no problem and then you can”... but I can definitely hear why it sounds like that. I’ll make sure not to mumble on my long rants from now on!! :)
Rory Packard I'm sure that you did not say my nigga but it was funny..:D So it was no criticism of you
Why is the Hi Hat red? I hate red.
Richard Goldman, I hate gold.
i like my demon drives.
It's good to have so many choices!
They look ugly af, but they feel amazing
