HAha I cried a little buying it but it's a tool you will only need to buy once and just makes life so much easier. I don't regret buying it a bit, there are far more expensive gauges out there but this one has been perfect for me.
☀️Nice! I’ve been eyeing one of those! I use a level and tape measure now 😂. That one looks really easy to use. Maybe 🎅🏻 will be good to me.☀️Great video!
If I owned a reel mower like this I would get one of these asap. Why didn't everyone have one? I have an Allett 43 so...I don't need one😂 great video bro!
@Adam Hix thx man I kinda flaked off and have been posting mainly on the gram but hoping to pick back up this season. I have several more mowers I can compare too 🙌
Bought the gauge based on your recommendation in this video for my new (used) Toro GM1000, are you still using the same grease gun on your JD for the zerks that you used on the Tru cut?
@@BermudaBoss good deal! I’ll have to see what grease toro recommends. And I love it so far, so much better cut, way easier to adjust and work on vs the Tru cut.
@Bermuda Boss thanks I thought it was 1.25, so do people in s fla have to scalp and if so a 1/2 inch scalp would do it correct? You can say your video was a very good reason why I bought one 2018. Lol thanks again
According to the manual it's .874" but I'm sure you could put on a larger front roller or something to achieve higher. I am unsure if they make a high height of cut for it as I don't mow that high. I am also unsure what type of grass you have but scalping involves cutting lower than maintenance and most folks that cut low like me will cut almost to dirt. There isn't a set height to scalp...go low and try not to hit dirt 🙌
@@angelzavm you will put the bar to where it touches your front roller and rear roller and set the measuring pin just on the lip of the bedknife like I do in this video. Then just look at your gauge to see what it reads.
Excellent, this will make it easier and accurate. Nice Demonstration. Thanks
Thank you - I figured buy once, cry once, ha!
Great video. That bar is nice! PITTL. Good Upgrade
Thanks so much! PITTL always
Man, you ain't playing around! We know who the Bossman is!

Thanks Sunny! I have been using a Level and tape measure too but finally decided to upgrade. This tool is great!
Nice upgrade dude! I need to get a new gauge.. the dial and bezel are crooked and I can’t fix it lol

HAhaha yeah you have it eassssy! Thanks for still watching the little guys :)
Great video. Think I’m going to buy a used 220sl this week.
Thanks and those are very nice! I used to have one with brush groomer and it was one of my favorite machines.
Great info. Thanks for the demo.
🙌 hope you get your deere fixed up soon bro!! The 260 is a weapon for sure
@@BermudaBoss I appreciate it. I’ve been binge watching ALL of your content.

@@BermudaBoss I’m looking forward to it.
I wish I could pull the trigger on one of these! Using the ole 2x4 trick right now
It was a tough purchase but so worth it. Buy once, cry once haha. It really saves me a ton of time and precision is unmatched.
Thanks for the video! I need one for my flex! Do u still recommend that gauge ?!
Yes 100% it's been great 👍
I know you said clockwise will raise the cut, but how high with that go? does it bottom out when it's at it's highest? thanks
The manual says 7/8" but I have never actually tested how high it can go

Nice! Same grease gun but different grease, I'm using the actual JD grease for it. How are you liking the 1000? I want one so bad 😭

@@KyleSteele88 it's night and day for sure :)
@@BermudaBoss hey I forgot to ask, with that grease gun I have a hard time getting it off the zerks once I put it on, is there a trick to that?
Hey Kyle, so check out the LockNLube zerk coupler on Amazon! It's awesome
Great video thanks for the info. What is the range on the 260sl ? Thanks again
Thanks! They go can from dirt to pretty close to an inch

@@Robman-HfoodO awesome man! 👌 anytime
can i use it on john deere 2653b?
I would imagine so, this one is 18" length. Just be sure to get the length that can touch front and rear roller....
@@BermudaBoss I'm new to this I don't know how to use it?
