Good Vlog .. I agree, running cheap is a one way ticket, it will catch up with you eventually, when repairs and insurances are due and there is no money in the Piggy Bank. . There’s always a Reckoning Day.
I'm mostly a Billy wizz merchant myself these days. I do ok out of it but tbh I like the easy life lol and it uses hardly any fuel. I try and do two longer days at the start of the week with stopping out if required then Wed to Friday I'll potter around doing a series of short jobs around the West Mids, East Mids or North West as these are all within 80 mile distance of my house and are very good areas for CX work. I've been burned before going to certain areas so I generally avoid them now unless I get jobs there for over £1 a mile (small van or swb jobs). I have the same min charge as you, I think its a fair price for a swb.

Regardless on miles of job or what it’s delivering the average job will always take around 2 hours in all. Imagine say a £20 job minus fuel and overheads etc might leave u on less than £10 an hour. One shipper the other day stated, “ this job pays £18 “ well I’m sorry folks but if you’re doing these jobs then u deserve to go under. Keep up the good work pal 👍

Your bang on with the pricing only been the CX a couple of weeks finding it hard to get jobs for a fair price.

These big shippers are aiming to make 80 to 120 per cent margin ie £30 is £75 and £180 to £325

There are a lot of robbing couriers on cx like the £80 for a small van 20 mile job in the Midlands I posted recently
