Agree Thursday had work everywhere, but as usual traffic was ridiculous so i had enough by 3pm and went home. Even that took 2 hours from SE24 to Essex.

That's very odd as yesterday I bid on loads of jobs charging my normal rate and only got one job in the morning and that was from one of my regular customers. I then got a call from the same customer to price a job which I've done before. Pick up in the afternoon then in deliver by 8 am in Swindon today some 110 miles from home. I charged good money for small van job but told the customer I had to change more as there would be hardly any work back home down on the south coast. He did ask me if I could do it cheaper but I stuck to guns and got the job even though he had bids £20 cheaper. It was all done to trust. What was strange was that he asked one driver to take photos when loaded but he refused saying that it sounded very dodgy. Some drivers just don't help themselves sometimes.

I wouldn't recommend anybody to join the CX simply because the CX has too many things wrong with it.

Said so many times when people started telling everyone about the 'dream life' driving a van making thousands suddenly its swamped and now everyone's struggling. It's a shippers dream, 17 drivers bidding on 2 jobs 😂 yay 50p a mile. With diesel at huge costs not worth it anymore

Supply & Demand will always be the main factor in business. Currently all tom dick n harry are on cx, so shippers lottery numbers are in.

If you have been on the platform long enough, already have some good feedback (altho it’s not necessary these days as people would just for the lowest price, regardless) and most importantly you’ve already made some good connections, you can actually make some decent money out of CX, altho it ain’t easy. As for new members, these guys have to put like half price in order to get anything at all

Couldn't agree more - Speedy really are the best to deal with. I think you said you email them the invoice? I don't even do that - they collect them from the CX. Just create the invoice after completing the job and then forget all about it!
