First of all, great cover! I might buy a Zoom H6. But I have a important question. I don't have a computer where I will record my drums. So I will record directly from the H6, plus 4 XLR mic's connected the H6. When I'm done recording with the H6 and come home to transfer the audio files to my computer, will each mic be a separate audio file or will all mic's be in the same audio file? Because I want to mix each mic separately. Thanks!
Yes the H6 will separate the XLR mic inputs, the XY mics are a stereo track. Once you put the SD card in your computer you will be able to grab each track and mix as you wish. Have fun! : )
Alright thanks for the answer! I don't know if you can answer this also, I've searched aroung the internet but I don't find anything. Do you know if the H6 has better audio recording (preamps) than the Zoom R24, or are they similar? :)
@@taurusdrummer This is exactly what I've been trying to find out. Can this be done, and if to, was there any reason specifically for doing it the way you did?
@@shadowmaster41 I'm just used to doing it the "old school" way man. it's just the way I've been editing video for a long time. There is amazing software out there that will automatically do it for you, but I'm not the dude to explain that way of doing it. I prefer simple and easy! ; )
I think you can do exactly that with an H6, but I’m wondering too. Have you found out if this is possible? I’m thinking h6 right into iPhone XS, using GarageBand as a daw. Is that do-able?
great job, I love funky drums
Thanks!
So funky and tight man
very nice groove!
thanks! : )
Marco, Yes I used the XY onboard mic, and I had a snare, kick and sub kick mic plugged into the H6

I am not familiar with the R24, but I can certainly say the H6 preamps are very clean and precise. I am really really happy with the H6 sound quality
Thanks again! Yeah I agree, it sounds great :)
Hi nice playing and sound. How does it was recorded with the Zoom H6? XY and mics each for the snare and bassdrum?
Did you have to sync in video editor or did you line in music straight into zoom
Creeperbomb2007. I sync'd the audio and video in iMovie.

@@taurusdrummer got it. I just needed to know that it can be done that way because that's the way i'm going to be looking to do it. Thanks again maaan
How did you EQ/mix this recording? In what DAW
Korian The wav files from the H6 were mixed and EQ'd in Garageband.
Hey Tony, Great sound, did you use the XY onboard mic as overhead mic? or room mic?
Charles, I used the XY as overheads. Boom stand above the kit directly over the snare drum.
Was hoping to be able to make drum covers without daws or computers just the h6 and iPhone lined in all connected to dslr

So close, good. We make the same kind of videos.
Excellent. But get rid of the stacked stuff,
