This dog is such a very Good Boy! ❤ He is so kind & patient getting his Fur groomed. Groomer does a excellant job & is also very kind * patient with pup!! ❤
Just followed your steps on my 75lbs goldendoodle. Came out better than some of the groomer visits! Took me about an hour and a half but he was freshly brushed by my wife. Thank you for the guard sizes and tips!!
Thank you for this very helpful video. I have two goldendoodles and the local groomer did a HORRIBLE job (it was all patchy, her face is lopsided, she didn't trim her nails or bathe her and charge 120.00) and my dog got fleas from her location. I am taking this upon myself to do and I genuinely thank you
@@chrisstromberg6527 it’s two different breeds, he’s a mix. This dog is only chill because it was taught from a young age. Very rarely does a dog just automatically accept grooming like this. I’ve seen it happen a couple times, but usually it takes a long time for them to be THIS comfortable and confident. And the only way they ever get like this is if the pet parent is working with the groomer on regular schedules and also working on the dog at home so that it’s a normalized thing. Brushing and combing every day are so important.
Agree, I’ve asked person who grooms my dog if she can use an attachment that doesn’t cut so close and she tried to tell me no, we all know clippers comes w/attachments to gauge length.
@@Snj19933yes if you train them they are well behaved. They’re very smart and affectionate dogs but you have to teach them young cuz they will be manipulative and destructive if not trained.
Wait until you’re the one who has to brush them daily. Bath and dry times double/triple due to the amount of hair they have. And guess what? More brushing otherwise they’ll get matted.

Our goldendoodle is 9 months old. Will try to buy that clipper and do the grooming myself as you are so far away. We like his long hair. Will just groom the hair around his eyes so he can see better and the area of his behind so soft poop would not stick to his hair.
I have the wahl KM cordless and I take care of that and the blades and the guards to perfection but the blades tear and tug almost immediately (the blades are new, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a 10,7, or 4, I don’t know what to do) on some dogs they are perfect and never snag. And I always brush, wash, and dry, and crush again the dogs I go to cut. I’m about to give up I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😢 everything is new too, the clippers, the blades, the guards. I even sent them into wahl and they sent me new ones
I have three clippers a Wahl and 2 ceenwes. When my Goldendoodle was a puppy they worked great. But his coat has changed. It’s super thick and curly. The clippers don’t cut his hair anymore. Would love to know what clipper you recommend.
Thankyou for the video. Everything I keep reading says wash first otherwise it makes clipping difficult, it also apparently wears the blades out fast. I have just ordered the KM 10's so I'll see how I go I guess
Can you guys tell us what clipper that is? Seems to work effortlessly. I've tried a dozen different brands and all get stuck in the goldendoodle's mane. Thanks in advance.
My doodle is super sensitive and hates to have the tip of fur of his genitalia cut it itches and we prefer minimal fur on the head cause it grows faster for some reason
These dogs have such beautiful coats- so beautiful they look like a stuffy. I would never do that to my my Golden Doodle. Groom him yes but take it all off, absolutely not.
Yes but if you don't then you're looking at a looooooot of time brushing them out everyday. Once my dog gets longer than like an inch and a half it's very hard to keep her tangle free.
Hi! I'm using wahl guard combs on blade #10. Body and legs with blue one 3/8'', top of head with green one 7/8" and around his chin and face yellow one 5/8"

If you aren't line brushing then...the dog is becoming matted. Be careful with clippers and grooming at home. This is not an easily learned skill.

If the dog is matted, need to go short, owner don’t have the time brush them, if they bring them regularly probably they can keep them with long hair.
