- In today's episode, we're visiting Monell's at the Manor. Monell's is an all you can eat, communal style restaurant, that serves up fried chicken and other southern fare. We were joined by our friends, @nerdsonthego for some excellent company and great food.

I was visiting from Tampa last year and we had dinner on a Thursday at the Germantown location. It was a brick house in a lovely part of Nashville. The dinner was excellent. $18.99 for 3 meats, sides, biscuits, desert and beverage. What a deal. Go Buckeyes!
We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience at the Germantown location. We will have to visit that one. Was it hard to find parking? We know that parking can sometimes be a challenge in that area. That is an amazing deal for everything that that they offer. Yes - Go Buckeyes!!!

It's definitely sad to see. Nashville's skyline looks so much different than it did even 10 years ago. The city is progressing very quickly.

I know, it's very sad to see a building with such rich history being torn down. Thank you, Sean! We hope that you're having a great day in Gatlinburg. It's a windy day here in Middle Tennessee too. We woke up to temps in the 60s and it's currently in the low 40s - bring on the spring weather!
That's truly sad. I've heard of that place. The food looks very nice. It's hard when you are a little kid Henry but you are growing like a weed 😊. My kids use to get ouchies too 😊. Thanks again for sharing 😊.

We did not know that Monell's was being torn down until we saw Jeremy and Steph's review. We really enjoyed going to the other location when we were in Nashville. All of the food looked outstanding. You are making us hungry for some good ole home cooking. Thanks for sharing!

Too bad such a locally historic site will be demolished. Will the restaurant be relocated?

I know. It's very sad to see. The expense to relocate it was too much, so they mentioned on the local news that it will just be demolished.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV Brent - I typed my comment before getting to the end of the video then heard that there is another location. So I suppose this restaurant will back up a step with this location closing and then maybe one day down the road they might find the appropriate opportunity to open another location
We hope that will come true. It's too good of a restaurant to not open up another location to replace this one.@@PJL7095

A trade off, paved runway = destroyed historic building and great dining experience.

The food looked good and the atmosphere was inviting to those who don’t mind meeting new people.
