That was obvious to Shannon, another reason she stayed,an she loved him she had his children. I can't beleive how jades lots of lower income people are, work hard an sacrifice an maybe you'll understan,it done by great decision s,an priorities. Do you think Gene would have had a money hungry bimbo around? If yes you didn't listen to him speak nor her. He's frugal as he'll an didn't skimp on his family but didn't spend like a drunken sailor.

My dad was 157th Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, came over age 18, Omaha Beach., was among the first US troops to enter Dachau. He never talked about the war at all, but he talked about how they received a whiskey ration 3x a day, more if they were not on march. Like many others, he returned to The States an alcoholic. He was career US Army, later did two tours each of Korea and Vietnam. Only by talking with his sister did I ever learn anything about his experiences in WWII. His 90s were spent in a nursing home as he had a long slow death from Agent-Orange induced Parkinson’s. Some of his men he served with in Vietnam visited him in his last year and told me stories from that era. No wonder he never slept.

This interview gives a lot of insight into why Gene is 'serious' and is the way he is; even if you do not like him as a musician, you gotta respect his consistency, discipline and business-acumen. I think he is a great example for anyone trying to do any business, especially because he applied this business-acumen to an art form which is very hard to do, if not near impossible for a long time and he along with Paul have done it for 50 years. RESPECT.

I'll share my personal story with Kiss.
I live in Australia . Kiss did a tour here.
At the time, my 2 year old daughter was in the critical care unit of the children's hospital.
Kiss had time to spare before their concert, so with no fan fare or press Kiss turned up in full character and played with the kids. And when I say they played with the kids, the guys got down on the floor and had the kids climbing all over them, I'm not sure who had the most fun that day❤❤❤❤❤

Being a teenager in the 80's allowed me to be front row and center to the world's best music and bands! I knew who KISS was and had been to a concert in Evansville, Indiana to see them without their makeup and they were great. I had no idea that my adult autistic son would have a clue who they were until we were watching a movie where Paul and Gene made a cameo and they were singing, "I want to rock and roll all night"....he comes out of his room and said, "I love this song, I know this band KISS because they were on Scooby Doo!" He has been a fan ever since and had the opportunity to see them in concert in Nashville Tn. just a few years ago. Thank you Gene Simmons for waving at my son while he was playing air guitar at the side of the stage. My first concert as a 16 year old was Kiss in Ottawa in mid 70’s in the Ottawa Civic centre. It was an amazing performance, I was worried the roof was going to come crashing down the stadium was rocking so much from the concert goers dancing and stomping the night away. Sadly, those "alleged humans" run the world today, and make up over half of the US population. The only difference is people are taught to agree with the oppressive nature of today's culture. Simply put, all of our rights in the bill or rights were considered critical by very good and smart founders, to protect us from government control. The all matter, and all should be absolute. If you like humanity, stand up for the original bill of rights as drafted.

As someone who grew up in the 70's and 80's I've seen many, many interviews with Gene Simmons but I must say this is probably the best I've seen. Gene is a very intelligent and savvy man but his telling of his early years and of his Mother is a fascinating and heart- warming/wrenching one. His ability to articulate his feelings and be honest about his experiences came through more so than other interviews where he comes across as a smart-arse on occasions. I did chuckle when he was talking about bands going on too long but apart from that I thought this was an excellent and honest interview. Piers Morgan isn't always my cup of tea but he interviewed well. Shannon Tweed is brilliant, funny woman.

I mean, this is the son of one holocaust survivor and he has done so much with his life up to now. He has influenced so many people, he has made so many happy moments and memories for so so many throughout the entire world, and yet, he is merely one son of one survivor. What of the millions of others who could have simply had become to be but never? This is so sad if you think about it through this perspective. What a disgusting, irreplaceable loss that whole affair was.
