Love this car and genesis is really one of my favourite brands rn. Usually I am a fan of german brands. but genesis is really good. the design of the new G90 IS REALLY AWESOME

It actually looks better than the S-class/Maybach (inside and out) and great to see that it does not have that cheezie tablet in the center console either. Hopefully Genesis will actually have some in inventory though and not tell me that it's on a never ending backorder like most of their popular models. The color combination as shown is stunning and I love those wheels. Truly impressed by Genesis for this will be hands down the luxury car of the year!
No it doesn’t and I’m a bmw fan they are very nice and all but against German rivals head to head it cannot keep up let’s not talk about performance the interior is very nice though I can say that better then the last generation 7 series and a8 but definitely not the s class
@@Tm0n3y762 When it comes to land yachts I want comfort, a quiet ride, an amazing stereo system, a five star safety record and a car that accelerates well on a highway and if I could save around 50K over an S-class why not! I tried hard but I truly cannot stand these 2 massive tablets for they just don't go well with and are oddly integrated into the design of the S-class; yet ironically the Mercedes EQS has a stunning dashboard so go figure.
No way this even compare w a Maybach. Its stunning but no car other than rolls/Bentley that you really can compare a Maybach to especially on the inside.

Personally I cannot stand those two massive tablets, one on the dash, the other over the console that you find on the S-class/Maybach. They look like an afterthought for they just don't blend well and look tacky, out of place; just saying! Actually there is an extended wheel base model of the G90 like is the Maybach, which has the executive seating in the back but sadly it is not yet available for the North American market.
There are things I like about it. Like the dual light set up out front. Genesis does well but there’s always one or two things that stand out like sore thumbs and turn me off. In this case, the grill is so enormous, you can clearly see what is the functioning part and what is black plastic cladding. Just tacky/gaudy. Inside the weird thumbs up looking pillars are super distracting and seem to take away from the overall flow of the dash. This approach is also odd on Lexus vehicles.
Large grilles have been the trend since the last 7-8 years. The only car manufacturers that I think makes decent looking grilles right now are Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes and Aston Martin.
The pillars are a major turnoff black with a light colored vehicle all the major luxury car makers continue to make this mistake over and over again. What's so depressing auto manufacturers act as if the don't care.

Your opinion on the seat height resonates with mine. Is there people that really prefer higher a seating position in the back of those limousine? I used to own a w221 s class. I remember it felt super weird when I tried out the back seat of a 7 series. Not a fan at all in other words.
The front has smooth broad design, while the rear strong crisp lines make it looks slim/lighter, then the side has bentley-esque 'powerline'. This car reminds me of pre-facelift XF50 LS, a lot of nice details but as a whole, haphazardly put together. As if the front and the rear were designed by two different team then the third team were tasked to somehow blend it all together. But what do I know..
beautiful design except they screwed up the C pillar. Terrible choice of design for the lines where they meet the hip. Looks at the S class , 7 Series and especially the A8 for beautifully executed flow of lines around the C pillar. If Genesis could have done the same lines as they did on the G80, it would've been a home run!
Front end: Cool Side view: Nice Rear end: Good Interior: Great Overall I really like it although not as good as the leak picture shown, maybe my expectation is a little bit too high.
High hip point is a GOOD thing! It's much more comfortable to sit that way, and it's better for your back. Plus, this isn't a sports car, owners don't want to sit on the floor.
Personally it would have been better to introduce this design as a EQS competitor, considering how terrible the EQS (watch throttle house review). Genesis needs to ramp up EVs and ditch new gas models. I would easily spend this money on a EV.
Many parts of the country (for the US at least) have very few charging stations, and Tesla is the only one with a network so it isn't realistic for them to totally ditch gas vehicles rn. Plus they're gonna release an EV version too so
The display center is available in some parts of Europe. But I don't know if G90 will be available in Europe because of powerful regulations and also premium F segment sedans already existing and famous there
@@IgnitingExtinguisher It's not at the level of Mercedes Benz yet. Companies like Lincoln, Volvo, Acura, Cadillac, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus and Jaguar are either priced about the same or less and have better customer support and dealer networks. Genesis is pretty good, but definitely not a bargain.

That doesn’t make sense because when they build a new one will be different completely and won’t be like you mentioned same car and just take everything out and put battery so seats everything will change This car has absolutely nothing to do with being electric later so seats being high is not because they wanna out battery in this exact design or model lol

what about reflection on the both infotainment screen? would be really annoying to drive on sunny day! What a shame in this particularly design!! When I tested new S Class and see how much reflection is disturbing your elegant drive I was just VERY DISAPOINTED! Genesis mad a mistake here too...
It is pretty disappointing to hear how you can still feel the tires and that the ride isn't as good as the S-class. I wonder if that makes the ride quality worse than the last generation
I see it as a positive. There are plenty of people who want a big luxurious car but still like to feel the road. BMW, Porsche, and Maserati also have the same philosophy.

@@megatronusorionpax4900 Albert Biermann was in charge of suspension tuning for all the recent Genesis models prior to his recent retirement, and no doubt that included this car. Look up what brand he worked for prior to Hyundai, and you'll know why the suspension ended up being closer to a 7 Series than an S-Class.
The new g90 used multi chamber air suspensions while the previous generation used electric controlled suspension using springs. The following suspensions are used in Porsche Panamera, Cayanne, and Taycan. The media and UA-camrs evaluated the genesis's air suspension better than s class's basic air suspension which uses ordinary air suspension. However it isn't as good as the abc or mbc existing as options or applied in upper trims of Mercedes. So it's between a s class without abc and one with an abc. And also, in the tires are noise canceling tech so it makes the car quieter. Of course it has noise insulated glasses too. Overally, considering the price, is way better than a s class without an abc. However, the engine power might feel lacking and the rear axle steering can feel uncomfortable which would need a better logic. The reason the last generation felt horrible is because it used the same electric suspension that could be added as an option in other genesis models. Also, though the electric suspensions can feel horrible to you, is way better when in a G80 than the coil suspensions in a Mercedes E class.

Exterior is stunning. Interior is ok. Drivetrain is disappointing. Why are Germans the only ones offering mild hybrids? They give a little extra low end grunt and imperceptible start/stop.

So please please Genesis bring the Genesis G90 and especially the genesis G90L to Germany, because I am one of the first in Germany to buy such a Genesis. Best with the 5.0 ltr. V8 engine. May be you need to take your coat off to really know whether the sitting position is high as thick coats affects your sitting position a lot.
I am not sure about the rear end, but other then that stunning. I would choose this over a bmw 7 anytime if it were available in Germany.

Exterior is stunning. Interior is ok. Drivetrain is disappointing. Why are Germans the only ones offering mild hybrids? They give a little extra low end grunt and imperceptible start/stop.
@Motorgraph World:..............Genesis G 90 and Genesis G90 L (long version, Long Weehl Base) is definitely much much better than Mercedes - Benz S Class in short version and in long version and also better than Mercedes Bens Maybach in short version and in long version. In addition, both the Genesis G90 and the Genesis G90L are at least 45,000 euros cheaper than the previously mentioned vehicles from Mercedes - Benz, let alone the BMW 750 I long version and short version or the Audi A8 short version or long version. So please please Genesis bring the Genesis G90 and especially the genesis G90L to Germany, because I am one of the first in Germany to buy such a Genesis. Best with the 5.0 ltr. V8 engine.
