So happy I ended up passing on 2023 Hyundai when I found out they would be revamping the 2024 model. It’s turned out to be more than I could have ever imagined. 100% spoiling myself for my bday next summer
I was looking at buying a Santa Fe next year, but this new design is a step in the wrong direction. I wanted a larger 2-row than my Tucson, not something with a (cramped) 3rd row.
Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Palissade are, in general, for american taste. But I love soo much what they did with the new lines of designs, but still keeping an overall conservative look. I myself love the boxy designs on the SUV's/Trucks but also right angled lines on sedans (with rounded edges as low as possible, due to the aerodynamics necessity, of course). So, Hyundai: WELL DONE!!!
Looks like a Land Rover (which was designed in Europe), but is for American taste :) Come on, man. We in Europe also want to enjoy nice cars that can move things/families. Shame on KIA for only bringing the smaller base Sportage over here...
Very nicly explained . Mari Cho ,You have a very soothing voice . I like the vehicle .Front seats look very comfy . The color combination is great. Horse Power is reasonable . Just can not wait to see the vehicle in person.
I love the way Hyundai and Kia are willing to take styling risks,, some are hits like the Ionic 5, some are complete whiffs like those creased body panels the Elantra and "eat at joes" neon accents on the K5. This one is a hit, I think. Now if they could just do something about their shoddy reliability record.
Risks? Tf are you talking about? Did you even watch the video? Look at the rear of the car and tell me which styling risks they’re taking with that design.
By "styling risks," do you mean once again ripping off designs from other manufacturers? Because that's what Hyundai / Kia / Genesis do: They make copies of other cars. Shameless.
Great review. Interesting design. I keep getting a Ford Flex vibe from the front view. Overall, a really nice suv. The seats look quite comfortable. Hopefully, Hyundai can address the wind noise you speak of while driving. Hyundai really put a lot of nice touches for the passengers. Having HVAC control in the 3rd row is a great touch. Also, I noticed that the driver and passenger seat backs have built-in hooks for grocery bags, purses, etc.
I have always been a big fan of boxed SUVs. Fell in love with the 90s Cherokee, Wranglers, Tahoes. The 24 Santa Fe will definitely be something im going to look to buy.. Hopefully new car prices will go back down 😅😅. Deciding between this and Ford Bronco Sport.
Great review Mari! Love that you notice so many details. Did you find out what that front holder above the passenger seat vent is for? Does anyone know? I'm really curious now😅
@@al151 Audi is so far ahead of the others it’s crazy. An SQ8 is probably the best driving vehicle on the market. I’m not sure I’d want to own any of them out of warranty, but I’m broke so it isn’t going to be an issue.
Very nice review, Mari! I like it a lot. The only thing I dislike is the very low position of the rear lights. Overall it has some similarities with a Land Rover.
Until now old generation person cannot get over with the low rear lights….its a modern design and now legal as far as the law is concern….if you are a good and educated driver for you to see clearly the signal light follow the right distance as simple as that…if you cannot see the back tires of a car in front of you its not the right distance….driving school FYI…
Agreed..they bringing back those old school boxy kinda style. But for me they should have just wait another few more years, its just that Land rover and toyota have just did it too.
The low back lights were designed that way to provide additional width in the rear hatch and cargo area, thereby maximizing the rear cargo space@@romeolopez757
From the side it looks like a defender. I have to appreciate that this model does not have sloped trunk, I hate it when manufacturers take away precious space in favor or design.
In the same. I was not too interested when it was first revealed. But after watching videos on those that got their hands on, its grown on me and i love it.
The recent models of Hyundai vehicles including this one look like inspired or came out straight of Minecraft game. Those boxy body and pixelated lights just have that feeling of it.
I don't understand why Hyundai and Kia place the taillights and turn signals so low on the rear bumper. In tighter traffic, it's much harder to see the turn signals. Especially when people look at the red taillights, expecting turn signals to appear there. It seems like a less safe design choice.
I love this SUV but the only complain I have is the H design in head lights. Hopefully Hyundai will refresh with something similar to Kia Telluride with the rectangular around head lights.
my parents have the current santa fe 2023 this new model looks better in real life then the pictures online i hope here in Australia we get this same model shown
🚨🚨🚨🚨 Thank you madam 🌹 for this great report about the car, which frustrated us at the same time. From the side, the car looks beautiful .From the front, it reminds me of 80s cars. The interior, it took the luxury stamp from its sister Azera. But the biggest problem for me, and for many people, is the rear design, which frustrated me a lot. Hyundai should reprimand the designer for the ugly work he did on the rear design. This designer made the Santa Fe a visual distortion from behind on the roads. If the car is not sold as expected, know that the reason (the rear design) will make the buyer think 1000 times before buying this car and think about other competitors of the same class.
i love that green 0:54 and also i like that matte brown behind that orange 1:05, its ultra rare... but i would choose 100 percent green. 4:29 i take that just as a gimmick, i saw multiple review and everybody just grabbed the roof rail.... as this c-pillar handle is too low. 5:07 those rear turn signals are deal breaker, i dont know why they cant use the same nice huge H-turn signal like in the front.... but small, low placed lines. dangerous. interior and dashboard are lovely.
Thank you for the video! Great! Is the color the "orcado green perol"? I did not understand the name perfectly and did not find it with google. Could you please correct my possible wrong spelling of the color?
Thank you so much for your reply. Is there a list/pdf of all the options for the Santa Fe 2024 for the Korean market? I know that this may be different in the rest of the world but would help me and bring me joy :) @@MotorgraphWorld
I have a feeling that Hyundai will redesign the rear lights at the mid-cycle refresh. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it as soon as the next model year. Too polarizing.
You better be aware when you buy a new Hyundai and need it serviced, the dealerships service departments are telling people they are months out to get you in for service and then when you drop it off, they are telling people its up to 5-7 days before they look at it. So you will be without a vehicle for a week or 2, that's if your vehicle is under warranty. It took us more than a month to get a oil change. Some dealers are telling Hyundai owners if they didn't buy it at their dealership, they wont service it until next year, So if your car breaks down and wont start, Hyundai wont repair it, if they do its 8 months out. The deal is they are selling more vehicles than they can service, so if your new vehicle breaks down, you may be without your Hyundai for a months. That's in Austin and round rock Hyundai in Texas.

Huge transformation that's miles better then the previous gen. That's the success of Hyundai, they keep impruving exponentially .

Never understand the reason to separate tail and signal light, much more the position is too low for my observation.

I can see lots of Range Rover lovers changing to the new Santa Fe, I love it.
Nobody buys a Range Rover for quality or features. Range Rover buyers are only interested in status, Hyundai offers none.

For the trunk opening be so big
official statement is that they had to give up the location of tail light to give more bigger trunk opening
@@420hansol strange because the taillights are built into the trunklid. Kia also does this with other models like the Soul.

Totally agree
The rear lights should be at the same height as the front lights. So, they would need to switch the lights with the "Santa Fe" name on the tailgate
@@jeffs6090 or they can shrink the "Santa Fe" name because that is huge too lol
Doubt it since that'll defeat the purpose of its current location which is to keep the tailgate opening as wide as possible
Is the new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe quieter inside (no noise coming from the wheel housings, start sounds and so on) vs the previous generation model?. 🤔
Better buy soon. This is going to be big hit.
