- Ahoy fishos! This week I head out in search of a few snapper and pearl perch to celebrate the month long spawning closure ending. My first efforts don't entirely go to plan but luckily a quick change to some slow jigging turns out to be the right decision. Then I head home to clean my catch and show you one of my favorite recipes! Hope you enjoy the episode!

G'day Sammy, I am watching this a long time after it has been published - I've been away.... But if you add some corn flour to your plain flour (about 50/50) you will get a crispier result :)

Sammy, have you tried scaling bags? Find it is so much easier than using a scaler back home and you don't have scales flaying everywhere over your well maintained back lawn

Snapper season still closed for another year for me :(, i don't keep snapper but not being able to target (love catch and releasing them) them really does limit my winter options.
