Nothing in the U.S.A. or my home of Canada could manage this. the UK has a population of 67 million & at least 5 major newpapers & Private Eye. Many politicians are quite funny. This is a VERY popular show in the U.K.
The Fox interviewer is Brian Kilmeade, whose journalistic background goes back to announcing the early Ultimate Fighting Championships. Real meeting of the minds there.
Brian kilmeade is dangerously dumb - for real - I don’t know what sperm lottery kilmeade won but he ain’t on TV for his brains. At least Doucy looks embarrassed for being a public joke & menace- kilmeade is proud
When doing Great Crested Newt mitigation work, we'd always leave a square of old carpet for the newts to hide under, a small piece of softwood that other wee critters could stand on if the bucket trap got rained into and a twiggy stick that things like small mammals could climb to get out of the trap. Bloody hard work digging the trenches, putting up the plastic fencing, siting the traps and then 'furnishing' them over and over all day. But a good feeling of you having given as many things as possible a chance to escape. Before the road or house builders moved onto the site and destroyed everything. It's always good to know that the general public notice and don't object to the sometimes weird things we try to do. Glad you like frog crossings, frogs are important too!
@littlewoodimp All critters have their places. Our community is entirely committed to preserving our inter-tidal friends, fish, porpoises, whales, Orca, bear, cougars, elk, etc. We have a large population of marine scientists (mariney weenies) fishers, artists, forestry workers, and DFO. All we want is to learn from these beautiful creatures and to live in harmony with them. I salute you, fellow critter protecter!
@@globalwarmhugs7741 You're somewhere with REAL wilderness! How wonderful, you must get to see things I only see on TV. I live on a very tame island, the really wild things like bear and wolf were slaughtered long ago. Though there is talk of reintroducing wolves in the truly wild places we still have - Highlands of Scotland. More power to you and those around you!
I watched gratefully (and gave a like) on waking in the wee hours of pain. But I know I missed some, so I'm watching again now that I'm up and medicated. Thank you so much!
as a smoker that started with 14 i think banning smoking is good. as a stoner from a nation where weed is illegal i feel like this is a short sighted way of dealing with the problem.
some countries (including mine) make it illegal / banned to smoke in public except certain designated areas…. I think that would be one way of dealing with it. make it inconvenient af to smoke and it will dissuade at least some people… then again I live in a city, don’t know if this would work when you could just go smoke in a field somewhere
Legal weed is the best - so many cool dispensaries- today is 4/20 so my dispensary is having bbq sliders and reggae music and for every canned food brought (to donate to local food pantry) a free pre-roll!! I love Maine!!!
@@littlewoodimp yes as it should be- I love Maine but you won’t find me far from northeast New England- USA is a cesspool of knuckledraggers with guns- our infrastructure is horrendous and road rage deadly- climate change is barely addressed and if you need healthcare you better have a 6 figure salary- conservatives have ruined my country- but I retire next month and will be wintering in Europe!
This episode felt quite balanced and gently paced, maybe because of no real arguments between the teams. Anyway, glad I got to see this one. Looking forward to the extended episode.
I agree with you Krokli. The atmosphere did seem to become palpably serious a few weeks ago, and I found it difficult because this is supposed to be poking fun, and someone became upset......but that episode should have had a time out in filming to save the excruciating scenes of a person just having an human emotional response. Honestly, I was pleased to see this episode back to it's former and calmer piss-taking self
Re The Olympic Torch having to be kept alight at all times - in 1964 when the torch passed through HK on its way to Tokyo we had very blustery, rainy weather and as the torch was being carried through the streets of Kowloon it blew out. Luckily a nearby police inspector, a friend of mine, had a cigarette lighter in his pocket and re-lit the torch.- situation saved. A true story!
About the Trump trial, they forget to mention that people are afraid to be on the jury. And it is the media who are to blame for this. Even though there is a law forbidding the naming of jury members, they circumvelted it by giving out all the details about the juror except her name. Her place of work, her race, her family, kids, what school they go ,etc. It has nothing to do with impartiality, lots to do with fear for their life. Stop distorting reality for a laugh.
They also claimed incorrectly that they're having trouble seating a jury. It was completed faster than anyone would have predicted. Not a problem at all.
Oh Jesus, Ed Sheeran is the modern day Elvis Costello. I now know exactly who I am, and the idea opens before me like a gulf of time bounded by silly haired troubadours.
Decided to count every gag made at the expense of an individual political figure. By 10 minutes in, there had been 25 about politicians on the political right and none on the political left. True Angela Rayner and Paul Murrell's difficulties were mentioned, but no gags were made about them or their situation, except in Murrell's case but that gag was aimed at the Scottish police, not Murrell.
Nice that Sunak is thinking about the health of the nation with the smoking ban - perhaps he'd like to consider the health related challenges the people of Gaza are currently facing? But something tells me such issues wont be explored anytime soon on HIGNFY.
cant wait for next Friday's edition after hearing Truss interviewed on Skynews 😅😅 Thank you so much for downloading. Brilliant series But.. please dont script the host to talk toooo much!
The mystery of the scoring continues. At 26:26 it was 9x7 Ian. Nobody got the last question, but it ended 9x8. Points keep appearing out of nowhere. Very weird.
I didn’t hear this said but I may very well have missed it but I want clarify that Trump isn’t on trial for having the affair with Stormy Daniel but rather he is on trial for using his campaign funds to shut her up.
My mum's blanket getting the screen time it deserves!
I was keenly observing your cardi …gan…..❤ Also of course love the program…really glad you wore that especially if your mum created it!
Thanks from Australia. Munya, Jo and Alexander are always terrific guests.

Count me in also, the comedy and wit is soo good on this show that you don't need to be local in order to understand the jokes.
Cheers for this. Much appreciated. 😊
oh, wow. Alexander Armstrong , Jo Brand AND Munya Chiwawa? So good
Jo brand has never been funny. This show wouldn't exist without Merton and hislop

No surprises that Liz Truss appeared on Fox news.
On the topic of tiny ladders, we have frog crossings on the roads where I live. Adorable.

Thank you. I just went and listened to "Shipbuilding'. I cried.
