Not wildly convinced about the host, but the guests were excellent this week, especially the brilliant Steph McGovern. Very much looking forward to seeing her as host again soon.
19:25 There *is no president of Papua New Guinea.* Charles III is King of Papua New Guinea. They have a governor-general and a prime minister. Did no one fact-check the Daily Star?!
Thank you! For any across the world whose first language isn't English and don't understand the political system, that model was perfect. I wonder what the American version would look like?!!
In addition to being generally inhumane, the Rwanda scheme sounds like it's going to cost a ridiculous amount of money that could be spent in much more productive ways. But that's conservatives for you.
They (the whole world's conservatives) do tend to love paying far more than necessary so that they can really humiliate those who committed the sin of being less fortunate. Being humane is often more efficient, even cheaper in the absolute, than being a political jerk, but where's the tory fun in that?
@@jokedejojo Maybe you can tell us what you know about the scheme so far. I'll confess I'm having a hard time imagining how someone someone might not see it, but maybe you haven't read much about it?
@@jokedejojo From my perspective, having a blanket deportation policy for vulnerable people who are fleeing any variety of problems in their countries of origin is not the decent or kind way to deal with people seeking refuge in the UK. It's an especially cruel policy if the person already has family or friends living in the UK, or has aided the UK government or has some other factor that is causing them problems in either their country of origin or by being sent to Rwanda. I see you singled out my use of the word "inhumane" so I hope you aren't actually playing language gotcha with me. Would it make more sense if I had used a synonym like cruel or unsympathetic or described the policy as lacking compassion for the misery or suffering of the refugees?
1:57 - I've always loved the way Steph McGovern, if you insult her in the rudest, most over-the-top unforgivable unacceptable way, just cackles with laughter. Not today but on past occasions she'll erupt with "So is THAT it? Is THAT what I'm to expect from you!" or "So now the gloves COME OFF!" while laughing.
Thanks so much. I am from Guelph Ontario. I had not heard of this bee experiment. I am utterly appalled with the level of cruelty these assholes are doing to bees. Please do not judge us all by their behaviour.
I mean it was a decent joke but Saint George was actually a Greek man from Anatolia, in modern-day Turkey. Nothing to do with the Levant, even less so with the modern day claimed state of "Palestine". Let's let facts be facts
14:58 that person holding the mic looked like their life was changed in that moment. like they'd been told as a youth that their family curse would only be lifted once a seagull had been reborn as a boy also i hate that i recognized where 0:50 was from...
Hislop stated the the Rwanda program will cost 600,000 000. pounds. Wouldn't it be less expensive to give 60,000 immigrants 10,000. pounds each to help them adjust till they can find employment? Then Martin Lewis said that that the cost of the program is to cost 370,000,000 pounds plus 150,000 pounds for each deportee. Paying the emigres 10,000 pounds for adjustment expenses seems a much better answer.
Ian didn't pay - mate's rates! What a fantastic exchange!
It's over far too quickly. Love thus show.
Ian's wit is as sharp as ever.
Thanks for the upload...always a good laugh when Steph McGovern is on. Regards from Canada.
Enjoyable as always when Ms. McGovern is a guest. And I will be sure to look for more videos of Mr. Lopez. Thank you for posting.
He was on the first episode last season, with Victoria Coren-Mitchell hosting.
@@lavrentivs9891 Thank you. And I found some comedy specials on youtube. I enjoyed them.
Steph McGovern was particularly funny in this one.
She's always great, can't wait for the extended broadcast

I wonder whereabouts in Ireland she is from?
Absolutely crying with laughter now! "Just one cornetto!" 😂😂😂
Totally!
Ignacio in a great return performance. Steph is always fun.
Basic Tory values "sex in the office with drugs" omg perfect 😂😂
Thank you again
Cheers for the upload
Ignasio was very funny! I hope he comes more often 😊
The seagull impersonator set my dogs off lol
Re., the Irish clip. In NZ, National's Luxon appointed his deputies for the same reason..😂😂
Just one cornettoooooooo 😂
wow, that irish national party leader was seriously channeling a short german corporal in that speech, right down to the symbology on the flags.
I was not the only one thinking that then.
Godwin's Law... low wattage comment.
I was thinking more of a short German fuehrer.

There *is no president of Papua New Guinea.* Charles III is King of Papua New Guinea. They have a governor-general and a prime minister. Did no one fact-check the Daily Star?!
I mean we all now the answer to that question.
We checked....there are no facts in that publication.
Not even going to bother to google this, but fairly certain PNG is a republic. Check and tell me I'm wrong
@@jpwood9082 Wikipedia calls it a "Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy" with Charles III as monarch. You're wrong.
@@jpwood9082 You're wrong. Unfortunately (I'm a republican).
Yeah, pick a piss-take fight with Ian and Paul, Martin. That'll go well.
Yeah Silver, I'm a long-term fan too. :)
Exactly. All was fine for him until that point. Haha.😝
I thought he held his own. Paul was just being a 'rhymes with banker' ...😅😅
just what i was hoping for - thanks!
You always get the impression when Steph is on that she has a very close friendship with Ian. He’s always more giddy when she is on.
everyone's more giddy when she's on
They're adorable together - 2 beautiful, witty minds. Mutual brain crushes.
maybe they're in love

Happy Friday!
Very funny interactions with Mr Lewis
Thanks for posting! ❤
Thank you very much as always, ViVaHD!

Trump “needs exercise. He’s usually golfing.” Golfing using a cart is NOT exercise. It’s barely exercise when you take five hours to walk 18 holes
thanks a lot Viva. great show
Thank you
Thanks, sanity for half an hour
And good laughs
Thank you very much.
You are a hero.
Thanks for the upload ViVaHD, don't rate the host much this time - which will make me appreciate next weeks even more! TIA 😘
Us "Yanks " appreciate this so much
Old Ian just keeps getting feistier. He'd have been the most honest and competent PM you lot ever had.
Yes. Brilliant.
Never mind Angela Rayner, half man half horse. Paul leads the race with his Keir Starmer boots quip.
Legend!

Lovely....my favorite 30 minutes where I pretend these folks are my friends. And like I've spoken to another human being sometime in the past 90 days.

What an excellent presenter
One of the best in a while
In addition to being generally inhumane, the Rwanda scheme sounds like it's going to cost a ridiculous amount of money that could be spent in much more productive ways. But that's conservatives for you.
Doubtless it will be spent with Tory donors who tender for any available contracts. Ideal use of money as far as this government is concerned.
