Crazy how some get angry over an opinion. They have a bad attitude and the fact that a simple opinion makes them angry is their own problem and nobody else.
One of the best documentaries on SC that I have ever seen, this video will be directed to players who have doubts for years to come, amazing job, and the amount of work that went into this is nothing short of spectacular, you talk about the good, the bad, the lows and highs fairly and truthfully, which many people who try to do this fail and only talk about what they hear without understanding the development process. Thank you for your contribution to the community sir! Have a star for your amazing work! ✰
greetings from 2022! i still think chris roberts will now and forever be a piece of sheet, but the devs of CIG themselves have definitely started to show promise in having my confidence. whoever is leading all of these teams now should be praised for the excellent management of the game in the last 3 years, and whoever it was that was leading them before needs to be fired. if that numskull was chris himself, then i hope to god that hes been forcibly removed from any and all executive decision making in the company. his awful mismanagement of the game costed us 11 years, and after all this time hes still obcessed with his squadron 42 instead of the game we all paid for - star citizen.

Except this entire "opinion" piece completely glosses over the fact that CR has been outright lying, and deceiving backers, that their marketing department has been doing ditto. The issue is not entirely incompetence, although that's also what's at play, but pure greed, e.g. selling x% of the business for millions of dollars to stay afloat, but not offering anything in return for the 300+ million USD raised to date. Ingratitude, greed, deceits, am I an old backer? Not really, since 2016, but I don't appreciate the white washing this video is, because without mentioning them, this video's presentation becomes the narrative, and CR hasn't earned a right to get off scot free.
I'm not a game developer by any means but I work with a lot of enterprise companies in the cloud. What CiG is trying to do, building from the ground up, takes a lot of time and testing. Some of my customers will plan a data center migration or have a similar style workload in the works for months. A lot of the time, they get delayed due to unforseen circumstances whether it's a bug, or the latest patch, when going to production, actually tweaked something on the backend that didn't get caught. They will eventually get there.
People are so easy to dismiss the work that they've actually done. Without remotely understanding the sheer amount of effort, creativity and brain power it requires to come up with solutions that are feasible in realtime at scale.
then 10 years from now the tecnology's they have developed will be copied by all the other games. Star Citizen gives us a glimpse in to a possible future while helping to creat the tools that change the future of game designe
@@celticfrost86 I can't recommend 5 but a good youtuber is a guy who goes by Raptor. I think people wildly underestimate how difficult the networking aspect of what they're attempting is. And how unprecedented it is. Back when Eve started to get very popular, around 2009 or so, I was inspired by its fully shared universe, where everyone playing are all on the same "server" so to speak, and I asked a game dev friend of mine - who specialized in multiplayer programming - what he thought it would take to create a game like that but with actual character models and landscapes. He said, given current networking technology, it was effectively impossible. And probably wouldn't be possible, at least on the scale of Eve, for about a decade. Fast forward a decade and change, and Star Citizen is, as far as I'm aware, the only game attempting this. And amusingly, the tech for a fully-integrated "single server" gameplay experience was only being developed seriously by them starting around 2018-19.
I may be wrong but I believe Dual Universe is also going for something similar. But it is indeed an incredible task, and the combination of tech that they're using is pretty wild
@@SpaceTomato I'll be curious to see how that one plays out. To me it sounds a lot like it wants to be space Battle Royale, which - if so - is already within what normal netcode can handle these days. But as always, it's all in the implementation and you never know where the next innovation will come from
That was really well written and researched. Great look back at the many things that have gone wrong and have given SC a bad reputation, but also as to why it feels like we might be turning a corner. It's been too long in coming. But it does feel like that new phase is indeed here. And, please, no repeat of phase 2! :O
Making this must‘ve been one hell of an undertaking. I‘m a part of the project since February 2019 and this really helps put things in perspective. Thank you so much!
It's wild to me that I've been backing this game since early 2012. There's been ups, many downs and times with a whole lot of nothing. Above all else, what's been the most trying yet rewarding aspect of the wait is having to exercising patience and realizing that what's being built has quite literally never existed before. It's no small feat and one that I am in awe of, especially having been born in this time and having such a deep love of space to be able to witness & experience it all. Much love to CIG and Space Tomato for putting together this amazing vid capturing the journey. When it's ready, it'll be ready. And based on where we've been so far, I think it'll be glorious.
Wow, Tomato, you knocked this out of the park. Thank you for putting this together in such a professional and excellent manner. I was one of those who joined early (2014) but never played until last year (2020 at the end of Invictus Launch Week). As we approach my one year anniversary of being a player, this has been an adventure worth taking. And I share your optimism of the coming next few years.
I've been in this game's community since 2013. Personally, I kind of just divide things with before and after Lumberyard in terms of time. I could be convinced in a few years that we're entering a new phase of development, but not before I see it bare fruit. I'm here, I play when I find stuff I like, yet I'm not going to say they turned a corner until after we've turned it. 2021 looks promising but so did 2015 (As you mentioned in here) Great video, just my insight on the matter.
One thing I know for certain, Chris Roberts’ imagination and vision for a space sim far exceeded my own. And I considered myself a professional daydreamer.
well done sir, id love to see more old gameplay compared to new. show ppl just how much its changed just on a visual side of what we could have ended up with vs what we have now( stunning)
This is what i always said: i want this game to succeed. Not only for me, the community or Chris and his team. This is a game changer to all of gaming. If some project this big can be build without a big publisher behind it with only some talented people and a growed that believe in their visions, anything is possible. We have good indigames already. But many devs still have doubts and stick with big studios and their funding suites.
Started backing the game in 2016, and it has been amazing to see both it and its community grow. I too am quite optimistic about it’s future and look forward to what’s ahead!
A lot of the features didn’t make it that year but there’re still moving along. I joined early 2022 and I’ve seen the game be slowly put together and it’s been pretty cool. I’m excited to see where this goes
I backed the game when the game first was announced, got the Freelancer package for 125$ and since then, have been pretty light on interacting with the game because I wanted to enjoy the game in a much more stable state and whatnot. After years, I did tell my friend about this game and how I backed it, she got the cheapest package at the time and we both downloaded it to try it out again, this was like 2020. Was blown away with what has been added to the game so far, we flew around in my freelancer, doing missions and whatnot and doing awesome things. Then I took a break from the game, but my friend got super hooked to it, she even went as far as getting the Reclaimer package, now she's far into the game than I was lol. Now she's egging me on to join her for playing Star citizen now that 3.18 is out, I just need to upgrade my graphics card to handle what this game can do now. I don't mind the wait period, because I value the openness and development they're going through, in order to create the best space sim possible. You don't see that anymore. Where they just get to work, No Mans Sky is a good example of "Just getting to work" Though they were silent for a long time before they gave us a pretty great game years later. I just hope they put further focus on the core gameplay rather than adding more little things.
This video needs to be seen by literally everyone, you are speaking facts, and makes no sense to argue against a game like this, it’s a game, we need to have fun
If I am remembering correctly I have been loosely following the development of this game since 2015... Especially with Citizencon of 2016 sparking true interest in a game of this scale. I like many became a bit discouraged over time to see the game go through so many delays, but as time passed I honestly became comfortable with the idea. Reason being, I’d rather have a fully complete and polished game rather than a mess like some other recently released games... It was finally this year where the game was in a playable enough state and I had a PC good enough to start playing. After all these years of tracking the game, being able to step foot into it and see the potentially is nothing short of astonishing! The way this game can make you feel... is wild. Truly after hours of playing, I begin to feel different about the real world. While I take evening walks, I look up at the sky and my sense of location feels so solid, I feel like if I just hopped in a capable rocket or ship... I could easily head right out of this atmosphere to another planet. This game when it finally after years ahead begins reaching a releasable state, will spark a level of connection to space and fantasy that I feel so many people have dreamed of. Your video is a fantastic overview of that history and it is really nice to see a passive and honest opinion shown to he public. The overwhelming toxicity people have towards this game is so unwarranted and frustrating. I feel like more people need to see this video I can understand people’s doubt and frustration, however I also know that we are not entitled to anything, we are not deserving of anything. This game is something we will either have in our life or not. But it is not up to us to expect it to be delivered to us when we would like it to be. The fact that the game has improved and is becoming updated more rapidly shows just how much work is going into it. People GRAVELY underestimate the amount of work games require to develop. For example even Fortnite is just as old, people don’t realize it but there were testers years and years ago such as myself. Seems like most people demand entertainment so badly that they overlook what it takes to deliver the product. And looking back, I’d rather go through this wait for a mind blowing space sim, than what was originally promised tossed into my hands.
I'm also an early phase 2 backer, back when there was no PU. It's been a long ride with lots of good and bad moments. As much as it's taken a long time to get here I feel really excited for the next few years and your video nailed why perfectly. Very good video, very well written and produced! Great work!
Server meshing and SQ42 will be the biggest milestones for Star Citizen. When they first told us about server meshing way way back I knew then and there that most things for the game would be bottle necked and held up by that one piece of tech and that it also wouldn't be something they could knock out quickly. Also they are currently keeping a LOT of assets behind closed doors for SQ42 to prevent possible spoilers. After SQ42 drops a lot of stuff from it should flow right into star citizen.
When SC finally releases, Chris Roberts will have to personally buy each and every one of his employees a pizza They really deserve that and more for helping him making his (and our) dream game come true
Wow, I didn't expect this. Well done. I take my Star Citizen in small doses, and have been for many years now. I do, however, see myself playing more often now than I have previous years. That has a lot to do with them actually building out the gameplay part of the game. Which I think you hit on quite well in this video.
For someone who skipped 5 years of development this put a lot of things into perspective - why people would be eager to put the game down, and why it seemed to me that progress was occuring. Very informative
well done - great historical background, I myself joined in 2015/16 after hearing all the promises... but now I'm back playing and feel that the persistence is the single most important update.
Great video! Some of that old footage is such a throwback, I remember following every bit of news closely for a while, then realizing it wasn't going to be done anytime soon.
Good roundup, it can be tricky at times to remain hopeful for a project like this. I personally really miss the Citizencons and when we had them the gamescom events and boots, volunteering for those was always a great boost to see all the people interested in Star Citizen from the die hards to people who hardly knew about it.
Having followed the project closely since its inception. I would say that the toughest period for SC was before 3.0. Many players only came after its release and while I agree many delays in the past years were troublesome. Nothing was as bad as the total lack of update and useful information. Faith in the project was truly tested then as both SC and SQ42 kept missing deadlines, being in the shadow and overall becoming a very worrisome project. Many pulled through but many did not, although more and more the recent updates are drawing fans back. I am truly glad this project exist for a million reasons especially with modern gaming, but man did it give us a lot of things to worry about at times!
I just started Star Citizen a couple weeks ago and I’m still playing Solo and just running basic delivery and mercenary missions, but this is already one of my favorite games of all time. It’s wild how much fun all the mundane stuff is like having to request permission for takeoff/landing and running through cities and riding space busses and shit. It’s just so cool
For a player who only joined the Verse in 2019 but kept some watch on the Alpha from time to time I can see in a small way how much have been put into this project and I am inlove... Great Vid thank you...
Nice work, ST! Looks like you jumped in about the same time I did, but actually started playing it where I didn't. It's starting to look really tempting now.
Awesome overview of the Star Citizen history. A must see for new backers. I am so amazed how well this was put together and cooked up with the right amount of salt and a pinch of sugar.
While I haven't played Star Citizen (asides from on the recent free fly, even though my computer can barely run it), I'm really hyped for what this game is turning into, and can't wait to play it one day when I get a better system. I, personally, am more than happy waiting for however many years it takes for this game to finish if it means that the studio takes its time to make a detailed game with an expansive universe. Who wouldn't want something well made over something rushed and barebone?
Nice man! As a backer from 2017, there are things pre 2017 that i did not know so it's really cool to see you deep diving in the history of the development :D
Great video and a wonderful breakdown of the history of development. I just started playing in the last quarter of 2020 and am having a blast, it's the only game that gives me Star Wars Galaxy vibes as a true space sim.
Great Video, well balanced and for me the fact to clearly labelled when ur making and opinion was a great touch. So many creators talk like facts which just continues miss information and leads to confusion. Its funny you use phase's, i call it as backers Gen 1, Gen 2 etc pretty much on the same timeline.
For those of us who have been around, i think these periods of time are pretty apparent! I'm glad you enjoyed it, one goal i have right now is to get even better about disclaimers erc
This was an amazing review of what has happened so far. Please do something like this yearly, reviewing what was promised and what was actually delivered!
Outstanding overview! I first backed the project in 2017 and was blown away by what it could be. The past year has been a whole new level of development. What’s happening this year and what it signals for the project are exciting and encouraging. Thank you. Love your work.
Invictus will be insane. If they can pull off what they have promised. it will make CIG lots of money and set a new benchmark of the scope of what a live event can be. And great video as always.
I've heard about Star Citizen for a while but didn't know anything about it till now. Thank you for the information. Star Citizen looks like it could be THE Game to play...
You have an ability to breakdown things and make them make sense based of facts and well considered thought process. Please keep this up. This is good material.
As someone who joined in 2019? I think I like the history lesson it shows how far the games come and how bright the future is I also like how you pointed out how it's been rough and not just glossed over it
Great video. As an original backer I have watched almost every dev video from SC and as a hobbyist game dev myself I know the amount of work put into this project so far is absolutely mind-blowing. It boils my blood when people still think its some kind of scam.
I first started following this game when it came to kickstarter and was always excited when Jump Point came out and love watching SC videos with tours and showing the updates. Seeing the tech of what they have had to code is just insane and the engine will be loosely based on lumberyard. In a perfect world I would like to see it released, but the undertaking is absolutely huge.
Space Tomato, well done Sir, well done! Thank you for putting things into a historical context and providing a perspective for the community. I've shared your video with some naysayers, we shall see if they change their minds.
*It's no coincidence the meta with most games is announcing them a few months before release. There's delays everywhere, we just never know about them.* The thing is that in practise you end up finding more problems than you anticipated, which increase the development time by a lot relative to a estimation before you started. Trust me, I'm a programmer and a Game Designer 😁. *Before starting:* _"This will be relatively easy, will take a couple of hours at most!"_ *One month later:* _"I'm not done yet, but this is good enough!"_ *I have nothing but respect and admiration for CIG!* They're doing a great job!
Excellent summary. I've been a backer since 2012 and you pretty much hit all the main points of this project. I like to see SC and SQ 42 development as a pearl in the making. It will have its bumps in the beginning but at the end will turn out to be spectacular.
I started in 2016, and saw when planets were just globes, 3.0 came soon after, and I knew this game would be way beyond other games. This year is the first I have been playing a lot, for now, I can actually have a career in-game. Reputation has made role-playing even better, and all the little additions coming will make the game even more playable.
Great History Vid Tomato. Kept my eye on SC for a very long time and pledged in significantly this year as from what I saw and can tell now while playing the core functions work. Example: Played a whole 3 hours doing various missions without a Crash, a year ago not a chance. I bet they wish they had some of the money back that got eaten up during the greed, deceit times. 300+ Million and no Squadron 42...this would give something complete to sell. Just a (old gamer) SC newbies view.
Nice sum up of everything so far.. and personally I am excited to see what's coming next. with every year it seems the game is coming more together and we're finally seeing a lot of much anticipated systems coming online. Also.. you're right, the reputation of the game being a scam is just... weird. Nobody would be building a big game dev company with hundreds of employees, multiple studios and spend years building a game that's updated every quarter if their goal was just a scam. I hope this reputation slowly fades as the game gets more and more completed in the coming years.
I totally understand the frustration of many players, backers, and I guess those that haven't even tried SC. But unfortunately so many people, I don't think, really fully understand the scope of what Chris Roberts and Company are trying to do here. This isn't just making a game. This is making a Life in the Future Space Simulator. It's every game ever made rolled into one humongous dream. And for me, I'm personally happy I have been able to see this develop and grow while I'm alive. There's never been any game, software, or media this ambitious.
@@anno-fw7xn yep agreed. Many games take a long time. You just can't play them and watch as well as take part in the development. I think GTA V took 8 years, I could be wrong though.
Great video I have been following it about the same time as you but just not as closely and I have to say your breakdown is almost like a documentary it’s great. Keep it uo
Space Tomato (feels weird saying that lol), Sincerely thank you for this level of detail and attention you've put into this video. This is fantastic. As a loooooong time backer with a fleet nearing 5k in value, it's seeing videos like this that damn near bring a tear to my eye. Ive followed this development since the beginning and lived through the horror and hope stages. You build the community with stuff like this and keep our reach expanding out to new players. It puts into perspective what we have had to live through. I adore this game but even I get pissed and inpatient from time to time. These always help to remind me that we are shooting for the impossible and might just make it there
Nice vid again! Man even if you can make another vid like this in 2 years at least we can say we were there with the first dynamic event ever, and be blown away with what we experience by then. Because it is developing and the future looks bright!
Great Video like always! I Think thats a great video for the type of people how only heard the bad stuff about SC. Also you Animationen are getting better and better! How many houer did it take from reserech to the finish video?
Ive always had an interest in the game but with everything around it and how long its taken it fell off my radar. I'm glad to see someone put it in a quick perspective like this and it still looks very interesting. something ill definitely be watching!
Fantastic overview of the last decade! I started following/playing both SC/S42 and Elite back in 2015 and at the time my enthusiasm for both titles was through the roof and I followed every video update closely. While my enthusiasm for Elite quickly dwindled due to lack of scope and vision, Gamescom/Citizencon always kept my hope for SC alive well into 2017 as they introduced new impressive tech each year that sparked my wildest sci-fi dreams. Then came 2018 and 3.0, and you realized they actually needed to make a came out of all this and can't just expand the scope forever. Since then, my enthusiasm for SC was dropping, especially as they kept delaying S42. Now I'm in a place where I've almost left the community, focusing on other stuff while letting SC slowly develop into something more than a tech showcase and hoping that Elite will ever get out of its "minimum viable product" mindset (Odyssey still seems like a minimum viable product sadly, and NMS completely lacks immersion for me).
Great video this must have taken forever to put together. I feel like SC is starting to become more playable with each patch, it's like they're ramping up to make it a more bug-free experience
The new Roadmap is brilliant. You can certainly see what each team is working on and we can speculate when to expect to see the improvements implemented.
This is the best review of the Star Citizen development saga that I have seen. I started backing the game in 2014, and walked away until the development has progressed enough that I can actually feel immerse. Based on the road map it seems that the game is far along enough to be in a decent place by the middle of summer. Thank you for this informative video :)
Very good summary. Thank you for that! :) I am a backer since 2012 and sometimes I find it hard to remember what happened when in the history of Star Citizen. XD
When it's running good, it's great but most of my time (>50%), trying to fix piddling problems (mainly keybindings), over and over, and over, and over, and ov... you get the idea. ;-) Thank-you for the video.
It had to take some time and dedication to make this. KUDOS Tomato! You are the MVP! Love these and it really sheds light on how far we've come with Star Citizen
It's really nice to see a video that contextualizes Star Citizen & it's growing pains. Despite the litany of complaints and accusations, it has been invariably enjoyable to watch it's development.

I may be wrong but I believe Dual Universe is also going for something similar. But it is indeed an incredible task, and the combination of tech that they're using is pretty wild
starbase.
@@bullshitdepartment That also looks like a lot of fun. It reminds me a bit of starmade, but with a bigger scope
@@SpaceTomato I'll be curious to see how that one plays out. To me it sounds a lot like it wants to be space Battle Royale, which - if so - is already within what normal netcode can handle these days. But as always, it's all in the implementation and you never know where the next innovation will come from
It is the very reason they have partnership with Amazon. Which owns AWS that almost every game now is using.
The great drought of 2017 was the hardest stretch for me since joining in 2013. Its been doing well recently though, I'm feeling encouraged.
Wow, this really puts it all into perspective! Thanks!
That was really well written and researched. Great look back at the many things that have gone wrong and have given SC a bad reputation, but also as to why it feels like we might be turning a corner. It's been too long in coming. But it does feel like that new phase is indeed here. And, please, no repeat of phase 2! :O
2022 is the year of true change for SC and no I haven’t been saying that every year. I truly believe it
I hope so!
I think Star Citizen will truly change in the year Squadron 42 is released.
@@anshukandulna1844 yeah exactly and squadron 42 is supposed to be released in Q3 or Q4 of 2022
@@Poseidon-1 where did you pull that date from? Do you have a source?
Great rundown and refresher for an old citizen like myself!
2021 looks promising but so did 2015 (As you mentioned in here)
Great video, just my insight on the matter.
One thing I know for certain, Chris Roberts’ imagination and vision for a space sim far exceeded my own. And I considered myself a professional daydreamer.
Unfortunately they also exceed his ability to make a finished game.
well done sir, id love to see more old gameplay compared to new. show ppl just how much its changed just on a visual side of what we could have ended up with vs what we have now( stunning)
honestly this is a must watch for all players, doing this from time to time will help people understand why things are the way they are.
I think your videos are some of the most important contributions to the future of Star Citizen's community.
That is amazing praise. Thank you, I hope my content can keep getting folks for as long as possible
This is by far the best summary of history and current state of Star Citizen. As an early backer, i agree with you 100%. Great video, keep em' coming!
Wow that intro takes me back. I was just a kid and didn’t have a PC but I was fascinated by it
I backed the game when the game first was announced, got the Freelancer package for 125$ and since then, have been pretty light on interacting with the game because I wanted to enjoy the game in a much more stable state and whatnot.
This is some HQ content. I hope your channel continues to grow!
I feel like more people need to see this video
I can understand people’s doubt and frustration, however I also know that we are not entitled to anything, we are not deserving of anything.
As someone who has been here watching things intently from the start. This is one of the best rundowns I've ever seen.
When SC finally releases, Chris Roberts will have to personally buy each and every one of his employees a pizza
They really deserve that and more for helping him making his (and our) dream game come true
I would prefer that he would give his workers a raise instead of a pizza 🥖🌹👍🏾
@@SirRH Why not both?
@@SirRH I think they’ll get a raise when Squadron gets released.
he needs to buy me a pizza too lol (with the amount of money that i gave to him)
This is some high quality content! As a new player I really appreciate your work and will share it with my friends!🙌
Dude, phenomenal work. Glad you sat down and wrote this out. Keep up the good work. Hope this video blows up, you deserve the views.
This is fucking phenomenal dude. Thank you for your hard work in organising all of this information.
Your channel content evolved a lot, gj man.
I love RP stuff. I hope this game becoming mainstream in near future like GTARP with lots of space cop :D
It'll blow that out of the water baby!
Nice work man - enjoyed revisiting the history of SC. It's come a long way since the release of hangars.
Your videos are quickly becoming my go to for information. Just joined. Thank you!
Hope you are still enjoying your time here man! Glad you've been liking the videos.
@@SpaceTomato I am!
So well done. Kickstarted this project and this brought back a lot of memories. Great video!
Man, I was on the same position u were and still are, cant remember the last time I related to a video this much! Thank you
Awesome overview of the Star Citizen history.
I appreciate the history lesson of star citizen. I'm a newer backer only about 3-4 months under my belt, so I enjoyed learning about the project.
Welcome on the ride citizen !
Since day one, I never doubted this game [Since 2014]. Star Citizen will succeed.
This was an amazing review of what has happened so far. Please do something like this yearly, reviewing what was promised and what was actually delivered!
Amazing video, dude. Truly excellent work. Safe to say, I share your optimism and feel like things are finally starting to leave the ground.
It's great to see a content creator that isn't just whining about how CIG isn't just focusing on providing you personally the gameplay you want.
Thank you for the hard work. My wife and I enjoyed this one. It brought back some memories and reminded me how much the SC vision has changed.
Space Tomato, well done Sir, well done! Thank you for putting things into a historical context and providing a perspective for the community. I've shared your video with some naysayers, we shall see if they change their minds.
*It's no coincidence the meta with most games is announcing them a few months before release. There's delays everywhere, we just never know about them.*
The thing is that in practise you end up finding more problems than you anticipated, which increase the development time by a lot relative to a estimation before you started. Trust me, I'm a programmer and a Game Designer 😁.
*Before starting:* _"This will be relatively easy, will take a couple of hours at most!"_
*One month later:* _"I'm not done yet, but this is good enough!"_
*I have nothing but respect and admiration for CIG!* They're doing a great job!
Respect for you! I tried my hand at programming, I think i'm better off on the mechanical side of things!
What a great summary of the game for someone who started following it more in-depth only since 2021. Thank you!
Excellent summary. I've been a backer since 2012 and you pretty much hit all the main points of this project. I like to see SC and SQ 42 development as a pearl in the making. It will have its bumps in the beginning but at the end will turn out to be spectacular.
The Great Drought - love it. That thirst tho... Share the vid peeps.
I'm happy this helped you out!
Dude! This video was excellent. Keep up the good work amigo!
This is a balanced overview of the history that resonates with my own feelings and experiences.
Glad you enjoyed it!
There's never been any game, software, or media this ambitious.
its also that the game is devloptet in open, mostlikey gta 6 is in dev for over 10 year know but nobody knows about it.
Keep it uo
Happy to help!
Space Tomato (feels weird saying that lol),
Sincerely thank you for this level of detail and attention you've put into this video.
Thanks for the fantastic overview. I’m late to the party and it was good to have a recap.
Great Video like always!
I Think thats a great video for the type of people how only heard the bad stuff about SC.
Also you Animationen are getting better and better! How many houer did it take from reserech to the finish video?
Oh man, how long.
Probably 15-20 hours
also, oh lord, seeing Wingman brought so much nostalgia.
For the new guys, Wingman was the Jared of 2013-2016
Ive always had an interest in the game but with everything around it and how long its taken it fell off my radar. I'm glad to see someone put it in a quick perspective like this and it still looks very interesting. something ill definitely be watching!
Happy to be of some assistance!
Now I'm in a place where I've almost left the community, focusing on other stuff while letting SC slowly develop into something more than a tech showcase and hoping that Elite will ever get out of its "minimum viable product" mindset (Odyssey still seems like a minimum viable product sadly, and NMS completely lacks immersion for me).
very well done. Need to vote this up for MVP!
Your videos are the best and the most informative, when it comes to star citizen content. And believe me, I never get board of your videos.
I am a backer since 2012 and sometimes I find it hard to remember what happened when in the history of Star Citizen. XD
As a new player very informative thanks.
When it's running good, it's great but most of my time (>50%), trying to fix piddling problems (mainly keybindings), over and over, and over, and over, and ov... you get the idea. ;-)
Thank-you for the video.
It had to take some time and dedication to make this. KUDOS Tomato! You are the MVP! Love these and it really sheds light on how far we've come with Star Citizen
Your editing is always really well done, to be honest I'm envious.
It's really nice to see a video that contextualizes Star Citizen & it's growing pains. Despite the litany of complaints and accusations, it has been invariably enjoyable to watch it's development.
Yooo. Your channel is the channel about SC I was looking for to watch. Great content :)
