Wonderful guide!! I was having trouble evading in MHGU because I thought the s were later in the dodge roll, so naturally I consulted YT for help. Thank you sm for making this video, it’s super helpful and straightforward!!
Hey, great video. One thing I want to correct though, in MHW the longsword foresight slash gives 45f@60fps(w/5% Spirit gauge). In the video you have said w/10% Spirit gauge but the minimum spirit gauge required is 5%. I just went to training area in MHW and tested it out.
Yes. U will get used to it the more u try it and also learning monster attack patterns help a lot. In MHW isnt a problem for me anymore. But hell, MHGU feels weird. I dont know when a projectile or attack really hits me and when I should start dodging. At the beginning I also thought that there are no i-frames in this game
No. The concept is the same, but Monster Hunter Rise reduced the number of s overall. For example, the regular roll always had around ±7f of invincibility in the entire franchise, but in Rise it has ±4 s. Considering we can only count in frames and not precise milliseconds, it's pretty safe to say MH Rise roughly halved the amount of s in comparison to the other MH games.

saw this on reddit, very good explaining video. Easy to understand for beginner and still explains the concepts very well. Good work.
Excellent vid! I wondered how effective the evade skills were and this explains it really well.
Absolutely incredible video! Exactly what I was looking for when I was curious about s in Monster Hunter. :)

yo this helped me. i appreciate your work
i'm trying to practice my i frames but i always seem to roll too quickly, does this just get better with practice?

Então usar o manto da evasão mas a Skil evasion Widow no máximo equivale ao evasion+3 do mh4u com um bônus ♥️👍
Que vídeo bom, muito explicativo 👏🏻👏🏻 parabéns pelo conteúdo
Are these timings the same for Rise?

Great video dude
Glad you enjoyed!
