The line about tearing out the walls is true. Joe once said "the best day of life was when Keith Moon decided he liked me. The worst day of my life was when Keith Moon decided he liked me". Keith was known as "Moon the Loon" for all his antics while he was a drummer for The Who.

A few years ago I was reading an interview with Joe, wherein he was asked if he really did all of the crazy things that people said he did while on the road in the 70s. He said something like; "Yes, I did. I don't remember it but I've read all of the police reports, so..." I seriously recommend listening to his Rocky Mountain Way, or the song Funk #49 that he recorded when he was the lead guitarist of The James Gang.

When Joe had his band, The James Gang, at one point they opened for The Who on a tour of Britain. Joe got along real well with Keith Moon, who taught Joe everything he knew about trashing hotel rooms. ( cherry bombs down toilets etc)
Joe has quipped that the most terrifying words he has ever heard in his life were when someone told him that “Keith Moon likes you”. 😂

Joe Walsh is oe of my all time favorite people in the history of Rock and Roll. I've been a fan of his for 55 years. Just a hilarious guy, talented storyteller, songwriter and guitarist. That slide guitar you thought you heard is just his style, his signature sound with his fingers. There are videos out there where he tells stories, explains his guitar licks etc. Very entertaining and very much worth watching. Also If you listen to the CD version of this song, let it play into a flock of Wa waahs. A little hidden track on the CD version of the album.

Cool story about them. During the time of their break up. She had a one night stand with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. The next morning Joe showed up and got into an argument. She started yelling Don’t come around here no more. So Dave wrote the song… Don’t come around here no more for Stevie to sing, but she flaked out and Tom Petty did it. Dave is in the video, he’s the one sitting on the giant mushroom with the Hooka. This is fact!

Nice introduction+ reaction to Joe Walsh's hit "Life's Been Good". Joe has been around since late 60s w the James Gang who you definitely need to hear. "Walk Away" was their biggest song chart wise but their 1st three albums opened a lot of ears as a trio w a unique sound. Thirds is my favorite James Gang record, w Walk Away. Joe has a great song he does w brother-in-law Ringo celebrating his Sobriety, as you realize from "Life's Been Good" Joe had some wild times and got sober in the 90's (maybe). I didn't expect much but it's a moving song w great guitar + hits hard w anyone who's had substance abuse problems (like myself). I saw it in You Tube.
    Enjoy your journeys.

Lots of great Joe Walsh tunes,bro--- you'd get a charge out of his 'Down On The Farm' and ' I.L.B.T.'s'. While in the James Gang,he hit big with Walk Away and also the entire 'Rides Again' album. In the Eagles, he had a big hit with 'In The City'. Also-- a soundtrack solo hit from Urban Cowboy titled 'All Night Long'. Dive in..T

"Life's Been Good" is the final song on the album, and if you listen to the album cut, after the songs fades completely out, you get to hear a flock of wah-wahs.😆

The James Gang was a terrific. Funk 49 and the Bomber are good examples if you are unfamiliar with Joe. Joe and Ringo are, marries to sisters so I guess brothers in law. The Eagles needed a guitar player and convinced Joe to join, but he had a reall career prior.
