That is a absolute gem BMX bike back in the day...Cook Bros BMX as a brand back in the hay daze was they made top notch quality stuff..nothing cheap came from Cook Bros
I had an early (in CBR timeline) Cook's Cruiser that was the best ride ever. The memories that my bike and I created together are irreplaceable! I took the bus across town to purchase the frame/fork. To get home, the next bus... The driver didn't want to let me on with my new friend! Finally, the driver relented and said, go all the way to the back. Got home, built it up. Mint pair of wheels with Ukai rims, nice and wide for the 26x2.2125 Mistuboshi/CyclePro blue tread tires to fill out onto. Frame pad and crossbar pad, hadta have the classic BMX stuff!! Chrome and blue components. Loved that bike!! The CBR cranks were not crap, I used a set on my DH bike for many seasons. The right installation practices are not optional! Mammoth Mountain Kamikaze race, annnnnd, they are still in operation on my now classic DH from the era...
Awesome vlog and set up bro....just as a heads up, old school....I had a motorcycle chain ⛓️ on my bike....small cusp, but decent wide, (looks amazing and loads of f : flex.....(this is back in the day, old school...)....always gonna be 3 piece crank set up....running a 32....crank...massive respect 🙏 keep doin what you do..
Respect 🙏 bro...the headstock assembly, is proper old school, it date's back to the late 70s...it was known as a (double headstock)....all done ✔️ in black,....have had a few..😊😊😊😊....
Wow getting spoiled this week epic keeps bringing the hits. Nice work team. 100% agree its way better to hand pic good parts than get stuck by brand unless rare survivor.
Dope shot framing Max! Start asking your pops questions during filming you normally wouldn’t because you know the answer…not for you but for the viewers 💪
Hey, where's the bottom bracket spindle aluminum sleeves?, they keep the bearings from getting damaged when the crank arms get their final tightening. I've had this similar potential problem with cnc'ed front aluminum hubs and cromoly axle swapping, particularly the vandero hubs. Your adding or subtract sleeves so the tightening don't squeeze and pull the bearings inside the frame. Just a tip on high maintenance bearing care.
Oohh😂,before I forget, the bars were not a good fit, on the headstock, had to wrap around the clamps, with sandpaper strips....(old speedway style 😎)....get u some of that....boom...
Yeah i was never a real bmx rider but i had a bike with a similar 2 pc sprocket, and i was constantly breaking the bolts that held it together just riding it around. No tricks done ever just pedaling.
We’ve been stayin consistent for you guys so don’t forget to share these videos and leave some love 💜🙏🏻
so are you going to do a video on why 48 spoke wheels are no longer used in 20" bmx
Excited for the raffle on the old
School bike! Can’t wait for those details!!!
Nice. Cook Bros were the shit back in my day(I'm 53).

80’s BMX’r here. Love this videos inside the shop.
Sharp looking bike. I had never heard of Cook’s before. Had I run across just the frame, I probably would have thought it was an old Mongoose.
That BMX looks alot like my Kuwahara Factory that I had, very nice.
Ok, this is epic!

Love the bait titles! Also, very cool bike.

I watch this channel for the shop owner because I like vintage BMX bikes and he is probably around my age....another good video bro✊💯 😎.
Neighborhood legend daredevil kid would send huge back in the day on that bike like stack up a bunch of pallets and huck to flat over a buick.
Padro for president

I had a cook bros in 1992. It was so light I couldn't believe it was not aluminum. Miss that bike.
I had a bike like that when I was kid in the Philippines, we left it behind when we moved to Los Angeles.

What happens when you mix an old school frame, with Alex supra E's, some midchool parts, and some recent parts?
Without the pedals it’s an expensive balance bike😝👍🏻
Hi, would you by chance know about the 2000 GT Dyno XR?
You guys know the vans shoe braking pad ?
1/2 in pedals is rare af lol
