    I have spare batteries for both of my Shure wireless systems; I have both the legacy system along with the new system...fantastic products, rock solid in every way...

    I have been using the original GLXD since release, about 8 years ago. It has never let me down and is rock solid on my board.

    Were you using the XSW wireless. I have one set for my mic and one for guitar and neither of them make it through a show anymore. I’m also going the Shure route both mic and guitar but I went with the 14 as I want to rack them.

      @ZackSeifMusic  4 місяці тому

      Yeah unfortunately mine stopped holding charge long enough to play a show, and I can't wait almost 2 months for them to send me replacements lol. I'd much rather just deal with a unit that requires a battery pack but will last me an entire week worth of shows and then some.

    I need some help , Does this with the original Shure stomp floor pedal GLXD ? Need to change only my body pack :P

    • @ZackSeifMusic
      @ZackSeifMusic  7 місяців тому

      You should be able to replace just the pack. I'd reach out to the largest music store in your area that stocks Shure and order through them.

    Does the db lower the overall output of will it clean up the gain too like the guitars volume knob?

    • @ZackSeifMusic
      @ZackSeifMusic  10 місяців тому

      Yes that is correct. It's lowering the master volume output of the wireless unit.

    • @MNGuitars
      @MNGuitars 10 місяців тому

      @@ZackSeifMusic so it could sorta be used to reduce db from a loud amp? But not affect saturation in gain ?

    • @shaunmiller6310
      @shaunmiller6310 8 місяців тому +1

      It would effect the saturation of gain still, because you're sending less signal into your amp, causing less breakup@@MNGuitars

      @@ZackSeifMusic I do have a question about this though. Is it a simple plug and play? Or is there some set up process you need to go through?

    Admittedly I have the original version and had to take it out of my rig. It randomly started cutting out whenever I would move too much. Swapped the transmitter cable, battery, updated the unit & everything. I was standing directly in front of it too. Was considering moving to a Sennheiser unit & desperately want to move to a wireless again, hopefully the new version is better.

      Sorry to hear that! I've had no issues with this one at all so far. Super solid.

      I returned two versions of the original, both failed during live because of wireless interference. The whole marketing speak about auto scanning/ changing didn’t work, I had more success with a $100 pair of knockoff line 6 style jack units made in china. It’s also stupidly huge for its purpose.

    Did anyone used this with bass guitars?..im looking to shop for a wireless system..how is it still 7 months later?

      @@ZackSeifMusic How about latency, channels, scanning, running alongside the legacy system? backup frequencies? Nope. Comparing to legacy GLD16?
      Doing a test in a vacuum is useless.

    Would you use it at a studio to actually record guitar? Or would it be better in any way to use a good quality cable? Thanks

    • @ZackSeifMusic
      @ZackSeifMusic  7 місяців тому +1

      Always use a cable for recording. Never add latency and additional A/D conversions in the studio.
