Mr. T's reaction makes this clip so much funnier. When Rickles starts and Mr. T tries and fails to hold in a laugh it's beautiful.

Only Don Rickles could throw racial jokes and somehow not make it offensive. One of the best comedians to have roamed the earth. R.I.P.

@@2Majesties What a weak argument. Are we ever gonna see another Muhammed Ali or Mike Tyson? Are we ever gonna see anyone like The Beatles ever again? Who? One Direction, hahah?
Don Rickles and George Carlin were most likely the best comedians ever seen on video or heard on tape. And they're not reincarnating any time soon. Have you seen the top comics of the last 10 years? They're absolutely pathetic compared to "this bygone era", like OP said.

@@raxoTV Great athletes? They keep getting objectively better and better. Roger Federer, Michael Phelps. In the arts, tastes always change and the current generation elevates its own pantheon of greats. I'm 57 and I say, let young folks today decide what they think is great and enjoy it. Many 60s contemporaries thought the Beatles, the Stones & Elvis were crap. They were wrong....

@W Gaston Nobody claimed everything becomes objectively better over time. And 'biblical values' are responsible for some of the most horrific injustices in human history. Theocratic zealots in every generation in the last 2000 years have claimed morality & values are on the decline. Same empty nonsense spouted with zero self awareness. With religious superstition on the continuing decline, that is one thing that's getting better for humanity and reason.

Oh how we’ve been deceived. This jesus of Nazareth, the “offspring of David”, the “Morning Star”, is NOT Who they Crucified for our sins, YaH The Heavenly Father WAS and here is the PROOF
HERE is The REAL MESSIAH, Who they REALLY Crucified for the sins of man
From the Dead Sea Scrolls Exodus 3 Scroll, "Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote
      Paleo Hebrew Direct Translation
      Yad "Hand"
      He "Breath"
      Vav "Nail"
      He "Breath"
      YaH's Name:
(Ya)d + (H)e, as YaH is what Moses called Him as well all throughout the Book of Isaiah and Psalms, "this is My Name for all generations" (Exodus 3)
      YaH The Creator:
Yad He, (Hand Breath), as YaH's "Hand" Formed man from the dust of the Earth and His "Breath" made him a living being (Adam)
      YaH's Sacrifice of Crucifixion:
Vav He (Nail Breath), the "Nail" through the "Hand", that whosoever shall call YaH Savior, His Breath brings forth life (Salvation)
      How YaH arrives:
YaH arrives via the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7:11), NOT through childbirth (Isaiah 45:10)
Why they demanded YaH to be Crucified:
YaH was Crucified according to Hebrew law (Deuteronomy 21), to be Hung on an Almond Tree for BLASPHEMY, as the Messiah claimed He was YaH.
      He was YaH
      Bible verses of YaH
      Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
      Isaiah 43:11
I, I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.
      Isaiah 45:5
I am YaH, and there is NONE ELSE.

The Indignation Industry never runs out of jobs in the US... there are people who have made their entire careers and lavish wealth from acting like they are greatly offended. Those fools who are indeed truly offended play their part as useful idiots so that the scamsters can get fame and money.
I wonder how the fraud from Chicago who set up two Nigerian brothers to do a fake attack on him at 2 am in wintry Chicago morning outside A Subway and then blamed MAGA feels about Don Rickles.

    This was hilariously brilliant!
First-off, its really good comedy when the roasters who are roasting the roastee can laugh at themselves; before, during and after the roast.
Second, their is nothing wrong with good, clean comedy.
Don Rickles, The Roaster, made and lost fortunes at it for decades. And was one of the more honored and celebrated comic's of his day. A good man and a class act.
Really nice to see all the stars on stage to roast Mr. T. a childhood hero of mine. So many are gone now. Truly class acts.
And were actors of my days in the late 70s, throughout the 80s and into the 1990s. I miss them all very much.
Thanks again for sharing this video.

When he turned to his right and called someone a midget, I thought he was talking about Gary Coleman..but he wasn't...and I don't think they even knew he was a midget back then

Coleman wasn't technically a dwarf (and yes, that's the actual term)...he was 4'8" due to kidney problems, and while the public may not have known about it, he was on dialysis while filming his TV show.

+Tharealtharowkilla What they call a "Roast" today is pathetic! I don't have a problem with salty language, but that's all they bring to the current Roast. These old ones are hilarious without one dirty word, which is proof of how superior these are to the new ones.

Having seen Rickles on an episode of Hunter, him on the A-Team would've been great. "You call this a plan!?"
Hell, they had Boy George guest.

  • @scottbrandon9390

To show how big Mr. T. was back when the A-Team was still on TV, when he made charitable or promotional appearances there was a large crowd. I went to the event in Toronto at Honest Ed's department store. This was maybe 40 years ago. The plan was for people to line up outside and go into the store where Mr. T would take pictures and sign autographs. The crowd got too big in the store and so they had to shut the event down. We were just inside at that point. Line-ups got crazy outside and a huge separate crowd blocked the street in front of the store. Mr. T. did go to the display window and say "I Love You All" through the window and the kids went nuts.

no hate yea, but no racism i don't agree, the jokes are racist no matter what.. they're not filled with hate because they were jokes, but they were racist jokes, still people back then knew how to laugh on a joke and people didn't mean harm, at least don rickles didn't

He does his Gable impression 1:36. I remember him doing it on the Tonight Show, once. "You have to scrunch your face up like you've just sucked a lemon, to do Gable." He was obviously a big admirer of Gable, and considered it a great honor and privilege to have worked with him in his first movie. Always ready with a rip on anyone, Rickles only had compliments and "good things" to say about Clark Gable--ever. RIP, Don.
