I saw all these guys on TV and now Im 77 years old and just laughing sooo hard! They all came up the hard way but they were ready for prime time and Vegas ! Great memories 💕💕💕💕💕
you probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
What? You don't like pinko commies rioting and burning down cities while the Democrats praise them? I'm a millennial and I wish I grew up during the 60s and 70s.
Poor Rich he is still talented & going strong but these days he must feel SO alone. To think he is probably the last one left on that podium & everyone he imitates now gone but how good these times were.
@@EternalDamned That's cool to know. He's a very talented guy. I prefer Frank Gorshin, but Little is fantastic, as well. I didn't even know he could totally nail Rickles, but he did.
This was a great set. Dean started it with his own hilarious put-down of Rich Little quickly setting a high bar. And Rich Little kept the laughs going without a let-up. And, come to think of it, Don Rickles would have made a great president.
I recall when I was around 9, Rich used to do these hilarious commercials for Little Debbie! I used to do my own bad impersonations of Rich's impersonations of Jack Nicholson, Jimmy Stewart, etc. 😁 I'd forgotten how talented he was!
And I don't recall Little doing Don Rickles. Then again, I was a child, at the time. Holy mackerel, he nailed it! I really like his Bogie impression, too.
Today’s roasts don’t ever actually zing anybody. Each quasi-celebrity tells one joke to the Roastee then one joke to each of the other Roasters and each joke is barely a hit. They rarely use actual comedians too. Yep, have to agree. When Comedy Central got ahold of the Roast platform they made G rated jokes a strict policy.
Ain’t that the truth air eight anything they can do they can’t compete with what was good here in the 70s and the celebrity rose between Martin and the cast and people the the comedians we have today are not as good as those of the past but just not and you’re right it’s rubbish it’s garbage it’s junk I was guys are real talented now we just don’t we just don’t have the same quality of comedians it’s just not there sad but it’s true
When I worked the Oscars, Don had to be helped out of his limousine and placed in a wheelchair...once in his chair, he blurted out, "World War II, US Navy, who knew? " Cracked me up.
Absolutely the really good old days and nights, when late night was worth staying up late. Super fantastic entertainment....100 times better than anything today. When I look back so much better with less networks and better variety.
Rich Little was the best st his craft. No one will ever come close. I respect him so much after meeting him when I was very young and kindly signed my autograph book just before he went on stage A true man of class
Rich Little had (and has) that priceless quality of raising a smile even before he starts his act - anticipation that has never been disappointed. His John Wayne and President Nixon are superb examples of his ability to create human caricatures in voice and appearance.
I would love to see the kind of actors and comedians today that we had then. I will always hold fond memories of watching them when I was growing up. Most, if not all of them are gone now. Thank God for videos and may they be having a good time together in heaven. Never be more like them. God bless them.
Rich Little, the one on the stage that is still with us. And still working in Vegas!! He is so brilliant, love watching all those men on the stage. Miss them so much.
Great comedy never dies. We can’t laugh at ourselves anymore and that’s a tragedy i. e.; Chris Rock and Will Smith. Chris Rock’s joke was pure Rickles and hilarious. It’s why nobody watches todays performers like they used to.
Maybe the greatest collection of comedians ever gathered on one stage at one time. The woke society and media of today get a good dose of what comedy really is and leave your political narratives in the parking lot !!!
Rich Little is the best impersonation artist who ever tried that specialty act. He's the only guy who could do a decent Don Rickles who was hard to imitate.
It's all about the Love and the Respect for each other....can u feel it, today it's all cold, very little Love nowadays, if you have or get a little....treasure it, it's golden!! U will never ever see this again.... Lady's and Gentleman... LEGENDS !!!
In the mid-70s I had the pleasure of working at The Sands Hotel. Don Rickles and Mel Torme headliners. I worked The Gourmet room the two of them would come in between shows for dinner and they were absolutely fabulous people. They were also big tippers.
I have very little respect for current USA entertainment/Hollywood product. However, this era must have been like the High Summer of American Showbiz! This generation of Americans were exceptionally talented. From Frank and the Rat Pack through John Wayne, Johnny Carson, Hollywood Stars like Borgnine, Jimmy Stewart and Marilyn, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon to the amazing talents of Dean And Jerry.....I doubt if it will ever be repeated. Here in the UK we missed the Golden Age of American entertainment - we had the BBC and the government controlled, stiff-upper lip, post war austerity, budget stuff. There were some gems but they were very low-key and strictly Victorian values!
absolutely could not agree more. The new bunch they have up there now i do my best to avoid them and i have stopped investing in those scumbag bitches and bastards
Of all the great celebrities gathered together for this show, one of the only left still standing is Rich Little. Numerous face lifts have left him practically unrecognizable from the man in this video. I saw him recently on a conservative talk show and his face has changed significantly but, unlike the others, he is still with us.
Real comedy!! Great comedy! They didn’t need filthy cussing or disgusting behavior, just wonderfully said comedy that was the best ! From the Best !!!!
My bed time was 9:00, I used to sneak out, and hide behind my Dads recliner, just to watch the Dean Martin Roasts, I think there was one every month or so... Now that I’m in my 50’s, the jokes make a lot more sense... lol!
Timeless. The only person alive on that marvelous stage is Richard Little. Just think. We get to look forward to ' The View ', tomorrow. But wait.... we also get Steven what's his name on late night and let's not forget

The greatest generation of entertainers all gathered together! Unbeatable!
I TOTALLY agree with you on that 👍🏾👍🏾
Many of whom had served in WWII.....

Agreed, Legends!
They were all plugged in so of course...

Gosh these shows were funny! No swear words, all good natured fun. What a great generation of entertainers.
Sure do miss them.
Truth
Comparing these shows to the supposed celebrity roasts we see now is so different. They can't get a laugh without swearing.
I always love how genuinely funny rickles finds people roasting him, like he takes as good as he gets. No ego no hurt feelings. A true gentleman
And he damn well knows when they are good. Especially here with Rich
Rickles would have had a field day with Biden,Harris,Pelosi,Schumer,Blumenthal and Princess Spreading Bull.

I agree, best times ever. Sad tho that only Rich Little now 82 & Ruth Buzzi are left from these great roasts with these great stars.
Two of my absolute favorites from way back. I was lucky to see them each, live on stage. Amazing talents.
This is SO much more enjoyable than the trash and hostility that passes for "comedy" today.
Poor Rich he is still talented & going strong but these days he must feel SO alone. To think he is probably the last one left on that podium & everyone he imitates now gone but how good these times were.
I thought the very same thing. 😢
I haven't seen Rich Little lately. He must be lost to the latest generations because none of them know who his best imitations are.
The Best!

Good point. But guess you weren't Big Bang Theory watcher....Bob Newhart still around :)
This was one of the best roasts I've ever seen! These guys knew how to do it right. So thankful these guys will always live on with videos like this.
Rich Little is one of the best comedic impersonators. Thanks for posting.
How Absolutely Right
You Are!!!!
The writing and delivery was brilliant. Hadn’t seen him in 30 years. How far talent has fallen.
Great comedy doesn't need cursing, or rudeness. These guys are greatly missed.

Very well put. I totally agree!
Yes
And no cussing or cursing!

Geniuses
We don't have anything close to this kind of talent now.
In regards to comedy...we have no talent today.
