Great video Coach! You accurately described the way I feel at the start of almost every run, and I’ve been running for 15 years. It takes me about a mile to a mile and a mile and a half to get my breathing and heart rate under control. I’m going to try using these techniques and see if I can bring it under control quicker. Thanks! And PS…I’m a former video editor. Loved your production technique in this video!
Great video! At this point I almost forgot how it feels to struggle with breathing unless I'm doing a very hard session, but it seems like a great tool to try and improve the way I breath during training. A video about side stitches sounds awesome!
Thank you! I’ll give this a go! I am a brand new runner and definitely feel like I’m drowning most of the time😅 It is interesting, I can inhale to 11 when I’m on my back but only to 7 when I’m upright.
Very informative, thank you! Proper breathing is so important, even experienced runners can have trouble if the breathing is off. I live at about 6400 ft. and in about a 30 min drive I'm up at 10K or higher in atitude. I have to remember to breath correctly when power hiking or jogging since athletes dealing with less oxygen here. You've covered this topic very well !

Thank you - I hope this helps!! I will pass along the message to my editor - he makes all the magic :)
This is the video/information I've been needing. Thank you Coach!!
Glad it was helpful!
Your editing gets so much better every time I watch a video ! Intro 10/10! Love it !
Yay!! I’ll tell my editor! Glad you’re liking it :)

Brilliant, I will implement this on my zone 2 stationary bike sessions, I can feel when lactate gets to my legs if my HR goes above 112.
Great video, thank you!!
I forgot about this in my toolkit, I have to implement it again when I'm huffing and puffing!

Altitude is certainly a whole other beast! Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you Holly ❤
You are so welcome!
I can breathe through my nose for a longer time since the first run years ago. Thanks for the information.
I used to sprint and do hiit workouts back when I was super fit but I’ve never been good at long distance running at all 😭
Maybe now’s your time!
