I've always hated the feel of rangefinder. It's terrible for the game from a design perspective because it makes your close range weapon worse at close range and better at long range, meaning that close range weapons become broken and the sandbox sort of just meshes together. The worst example of this is rangefinder SMGs like shayuras literally surpassing autorifles in range despite having better damage numbers. The zoom nerf can't come soon enough imo.
Sending this to all friends who call me crazy. I don't like range finder anymore it was only a go to perk cause it was one of the few "free" range perks in game. But just like you point out there are some many alternatives now. I love my rose it fits my play style perfectly accurized, slide shot, and explosive payload I can freely run, slide, and skate around the map pushing what ever I really want with no down side. Ever since d1 I've told my friends that range finder isn't every thing It's not a bad perk but it doesn't fell good to have more zoom that what some weapons should have in my opinion. I finally really understand why I love low zoom snipers now. You really hit every point in this video I could possible think of. And I really hope bungie brings back scope changes was a cool thing I feel like they almost neglected. Good video much love.
Anything that'll boost range. Kept a few weapons with fragile focus cause of the buff. Also, I might still use rangefinder on weapons that are already meant for close range engagement such as sidearms or smgs
If they every reintroduce Crimil's Dagger, I will consider moving off of rangefinder. I want to use my favorite gun instead of using something that is similar to it. Round Robin could be an option for me, but I just want my Crimil's Dagger back
What are you guys using when the rangefinder/zoom nerf hits?
Def gonna be using mida more goose was on to something with it
What I've already been using... Antiope-d. 28 meter range falloff on an smg.
I dont like RF so I am unaffected lol.
