Sunshot is my baby though, if you can get past the recoil you’ll be deadly as fuck. Great vid wallah.
Open shot on hawk would be better since the extra accuracy would also be usable in air(i think not 100% sure but i fire in the air and mine has open shot so im pretty sure it does) the handling is good for hawkmoon so instead of snap maybe rangefinder or open shot
I've been in love with Ace since Arrivals. (Returning player. I've been absent in Forsaken's sandbox lmao). Even though 140s recieved a nerf in Shadowkeep, I was still using Ace for as long as I remember.
i mean thorn and ace are good but hawky boi hits different its like if bottom tree goldie knives were a gun (also i agree i main perk is pretty situational but thats why the caty give extra range, reload and handling per head shot, providing basically the best up front perk for hc)
in general, ace is more verstile than the hawkmoon in many situations. Also, the radar perk on ace gives you better situational awareness; however, without memo active, the stopping power (aka TTK ) seems too a little bit worse than the hawkmoon, whereas the hawkmoon seems to have better overall burst damage. The Paracausal Shot stacks also add a substantial amount of damage to the subseqent shots, which is huge beacuse you want your enemy drop dead before you.
Ayo Wallah, you do know you can Hawkmoon 2 tap with paracausal x3 while having 2 left in the mag. Aka you two tap after every 3 tap. 3 tap a guy, empty mag til you got 2 left, and make people rage. Note that with a rangefinder hawkmoon and hawkmoon catalyst hawkmoon has more range than every 140 in the game if im not mistaken after paracausal x3 or 4
Sunshot is my favorite handcannon in all of destiny. It just feels like The devs put so much time and effort into everything about it. The look, the sound, the animation the perk. Its all so awesome BUT in pvp the animation is overkill and distracting. I wish in PvP it was toned down just a bit. Also its so pretty putting an ornament on it only makes it look bad. The Red Dwarf ornament is the only one that looks alright but default is the way to go. In PvE though Man all these are not bad, I'd say thorn is probably the worst in pve unless nercrotic grips are being used. Then its hard to say if Ace or Sunshot are worst then Hawkmoon. Hawkmoon last season was used a lot in GMs for unstop champs and you get the perk pretty quickly and do a lot of damage. It seems like the worst for PvE but for high end PvE its the best. Since sunshot is too distracting for me I stick with Thorn. Thorn is another gun like Sunshot where it feels like the devs put a lot of love into it. But when are we getting that catalyst? Thorn must have a high aim assist value or something because I am not really a hand canon user in pvp. Right now I really am loving auto rifles. But I figure some day I will become a HC main. Anyways Thorn seems to be the only HC I can actually land shots with. I mean I can with malfeasance as well but.... Malfeasance. Malfeasance feels and sounds great to use but I wish it was like a 150 or something and 4 tapped instead of 5.
Also, Sunshot is a lightweight frame meaning it give you +20 points to your mobility. If you pair that with a lightweight primary (Riiswalker), that's +20 points of mobility that you could invest somewhere else if you're running Hunter (or even other classes). I think that's how it works with Lightweight Frames... I could be wrong though.
@@warv6552 oh really? Damn, that sucks. I don't really use the gun all that much. I just remember reading a bunch of threads about it being a lightweight frame and stuff.
Hawkmoon is best cause catalyst with no stacks of paracausal and rangefinder give it the range of 37.5 meters for a 3 tap and if u get 3 stacks u can map someone at 39 meters, as I tested on my fullborerangefinder roll. With the nerfs to 120s thts literally better than igneous hammer and most 120s without rangefinder. It also aims for u (well most handcannons do) but imo best exotic hc in game rn
With Hawkmoon you can't swap when you're on the last damage boosted round or it will go away. And when Ace launched in Forsaken you could swap and keep the perk, it also only held 5 momento shots at the time. It also did slightly more damage, enough to let you 2 tap while wearing the og pre nerfed One Eyed Mask. Back then with full Titan Skating, OEM(with wall hacks and instant full health and overshield) , 2 tapping swappable Ace with crazy un-nerfed range and a Mindbenders Titans were baiscally unstoppable. And bottom striker was busted with a baiscally unlimited super as well lol.
Personally I feel like the best exotic handcannon over all for adaptability is definitely The ace of spades. Runner up in my opinion would be last word. Lowest ttk in the game and if youre good at aiming you can definitely capitalize off it. Malfeasance is fun to use but definitely falls behind sadly... RIP my favorite weapon ;-;
sup Wallah out of the 4 hand cannons in the video Thorn is the only one without a catalyst, so im curious if you could give Thorn a catalyst, what would it be for? just curious
I have a question that I really hope you could give an answer to: Since you play on mouse and keyboard, what kind of DPI is your mouse on? Do you recommend a lower or a higher one?
I think one of the best ways to describe sunshot is that it just feels fast. Between the handling, stability, and fire rate, you can get a hand cannon that feels fast and smooth without using an abysmal 180. edit: I feel like something worth noting is whether or not 6x paracausal can two-tap with hawkmoon. If it can then 6-7 paracausal is worth going for, not just 7, adding SOME consistency
In my opinion the weapon is cool because a lot of people focus on the one tap potential and while that’s good and all to get happen, it’s not gonna happen enough and not be as good if that’s what you’re basing it off of. I haven’t used Hawkmoon in a while because I don’t play crucible a lot, but if you’re wanting a lot of two taps, this gun is really good. I really like the two tap potential of it.
I started playing with Hawkmoon, I always disliked the D2 version being so meak, but no, it's a great HC that was overshadowed by the 120 meta, and being able to put it away and keep its perk rolling sold it to me.
I still use Sturm, with or without Drang. Ever since it was still a 110. People think I'm insane, but it just feels like a good handcannon. But I also got 550 kills on Bonechiller and people worry about that
If you are able to land a lot of head shots then for bosses and yellow bars in general hawkmoon is the best in all difficulty levels, in low and (medium) difficulty with "energy accelerant mod" ace of spades is good to clear a lot of red bars same for sunshot and this last one goes on the energy weapon slot where you can use a weapon with more dps for big and medium life bars enemies ( we still not know if after the artifact is gone the mod will remain) then for me Thorn is a good option because the DOT and ammo return after kills
I really think you should "study" a bit more the hawkmoon perk cause i think is perfect for your playstile 1) You can do 2 tap to the head, switch to shotty to clean up and still charging the buff 2) after a 3 tap to the head, with x3 on the perk, if you leave 2 shots on the mag u can 2 tap to the head (very helpful on trials btw) Ps if u swap with 1 shot in the mag u lose the buff, thats why leaving those 2 shots thag can 2 tap is a better and more reliable strat
Hawkmoon feels so nice to use, I may not three tap regularly but two tapping still happens quite regularly 🤔 when you don't have enough stacks Hawkmoon still provides some sort of help, everyone's tryna get that 1 shot clip but two tapping is viable too imo
My favorite hand cannon and gun is Crimson it suits my playstyle of running in and shooting everything since it heals on kills. My favorite non hand cannon is huckleberry and mida multi-tool
Whilst i do agree that out of all four HCs Hawkmoon is the weakest, i think some of it's potential goes over people's heads; the glorious 1 tap is alluring, certainly, but considering how the weapon works, going for 2 taps is far more functional: let's say you have two bullets in the mag and Paracausal x3, that's enough for a 2 tap (2H on guardians resilience 8 or lower), with Paracausal x4 that's a guaranteed 2 tap no matter the resilience, Paracausal x5 is a 1H 1B on guardians resilience 4 or lower, and Paracausal x6 gives you two options; either you go for two body shots, or you just get to that last bullet and try to go for a headshot. Consider damage buffs like empowering rift or high energy fire and your possibilities broaden out. I believe playing around Hawkmoon's perk in this way is far more feasable (and also what's going to happen most of the time anyways) than pursuing the ever so lovely 1 tap, but of course it's a risky playstile, as missing that last bullet will most likely leave you vulnerable, which is why, as i said in the beggining, going for any of the other HCs is still a better choice. I simply wrote this comment to raise awareness about Hawkmoon's 2 tap potential, which is usually overlooked in favour of it's fancier yet substancially-more-difficult-to-achieve 1 tap.
I like how he says “and the malfeasance sucks” like he was downright disappointed and angry.

Well sturm reloads your other weapon when getting kills so that's a perk lol.
so, it has a better version of Sympathetic Arsenal. Well, thats 1 good thing
Lumina plus high impact= 1 shot body shots or with a GL u get lots of 1 shots with proximity mines
Is it just me that likes lumina
Ace is extremely balanced (in regards to stats), my favorite.
I love Hawkmoon, it feels great, but the random perks kinda throw me off when using it. I enjoy exotics because they were all all static rolls, until Hawkmoon got re-released.
Thorn is so much fun and the sound is just… hell yeah.
Sunshot is my baby though, if you can get past the recoil you’ll be deadly as fuck.
Great vid wallah.
Luna's is the best hand cannon don't @ me
1:10 "its my video not yours" hahahhahaha great
skyburner's oath
Open shot on hawk would be better since the extra accuracy would also be usable in air(i think not 100% sure but i fire in the air and mine has open shot so im pretty sure it does) the handling is good for hawkmoon so instead of snap maybe rangefinder or open shot
First
I've been in love with Ace since Arrivals. (Returning player. I've been absent in Forsaken's sandbox lmao). Even though 140s recieved a nerf in Shadowkeep, I was still using Ace for as long as I remember.
i mean thorn and ace are good but hawky boi hits different
its like if bottom tree goldie knives were a gun
(also i agree i main perk is pretty situational but thats why the caty give extra range, reload and handling per head shot, providing basically the best up front perk for hc)
"This is my video not yours" Right on bro that had me laughing😂
Hawkmoon and Thorn always have been and always will be my favorite exotic hand cannons, since D1 Year 1
in general, ace is more verstile than the hawkmoon in many situations. Also, the radar perk on ace gives you better situational awareness; however, without memo active, the stopping power (aka TTK
) seems too a little bit worse than the hawkmoon, whereas the hawkmoon seems to have better overall burst damage.
Note that with a rangefinder hawkmoon and hawkmoon catalyst hawkmoon has more range than every 140 in the game if im not mistaken after paracausal x3 or 4
2:48 Jim has to look out for this Dwite character. Hueh hueh hueh
"Hold that- Thank you."
Then he turns around like a badass.
Whem you start to use the gun that brutally murders you each crucible game no matter which mode: I have become the very enemy I swore to destroy.
It’s not a lightweight. Exotics don’t have Frame bonuses besides Mida.
@@warv6552 oh really? Damn, that sucks. I don't really use the gun all that much. I just remember reading a bunch of threads about it being a lightweight frame and stuff.
your movement in the sunshot game was nuts
Personally I feel like the best exotic handcannon over all for adaptability is definitely The ace of spades.
Runner up in my opinion would be last word.
Lowest ttk in the game and if youre good at aiming you can definitely capitalize off it.
Malfeasance is fun to use but definitely falls behind sadly...
RIP my favorite weapon ;-;
sup Wallah
out of the 4 hand cannons in the video Thorn is the only one without a catalyst, so im curious if you could give Thorn a catalyst, what would it be for? just curious
I have a question that I really hope you could give an answer to: Since you play on mouse and keyboard, what kind of DPI is your mouse on? Do you recommend a lower or a higher one?
Thorn+mindbenders on bottom tree arc was my go to setup for a long time.
Been actually happy seeing more ace, hawkmoon, and sunshots in pvp.
"Thanks for being a Headshot Battery" xD
an explosive revolver that makes enemies explode on death will always be my favorite
6 and 7 both 1 tap
Great video. I'd like to see you do one team-based. I find Sunshot really excels with energy accelerant in control
"You couldn't live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me..." -Ace when sweatlords are flocking back to it after the 120 nerf
I really think you should "study" a bit more the hawkmoon perk cause i think is perfect for your playstile
1) You can do 2 tap to the head, switch to shotty to clean up and still charging the buff
2) after a 3 tap to the head, with x3 on the perk, if you leave 2 shots on the mag u can 2 tap to the head (very helpful on trials btw)
Ps if u swap with 1 shot in the mag u lose the buff, thats why leaving those 2 shots thag can 2 tap is a better and more reliable strat
Hawkmoon feels so nice to use, I may not three tap regularly but two tapping still happens quite regularly 🤔 when you don't have enough stacks Hawkmoon still provides some sort of help, everyone's tryna get that 1 shot clip but two tapping is viable too imo
Ay man. What about erianas vow?
What about erianas vow it pretty good?
“Hold that, thank you” lmao
i like how whenever wallah yeets a knife he goes "hold that" .Hes grinding them style points.
25k sunshot kills, but this scope will always throw me off.
What throws me off is its general frame/body. It feels so fragile, like it will just break after a few shots.
The Ace shits on Hawkmoon so bad it's actually depressing
