100ft WAVEPOOL in HAWAII | Wai Kai Line-up

In this video, myself and a couple of friends try out the new $40,000,000 surf Wavepool in Hawai'i. IS it worth it? why is there a wave pool on an island filled with top tier ocean waves already?

Seems odd to be in Oahu. Looks more like river surfing - looks like this would be great in states that aren't close to actual surfing.

Does it translate to the ocean at all or totally different style sport? I’ve done a smaller flow rider and it seemed way different and I’m not sure how much it would aid in surfing, and this looks basically like a big flow rider. Nice video

Looks like a bigger version of the flow ryder. Probably more similar to wake surfing.

@@CheeseCream1205never wake surfed but I can see that being comparable after riding. It’s definitely better than flow rider and I saw some good progression when I was out.
