Also, Chase, a recommendation for your son as an INFJ musician (opera singer) myself:
DO NOT send him to college for music. Let him instead take lessons privately and read books on music theory and music history instead. A degree in music is just a piece of paper saying that the faculty like your ability to perform.

Chase, when you first did your Templar lecture, it inspired me to do a stream on Facebook in which I confessed every major mistake I’ve ever made to my Facebook friends.
I want to tell people the truth and help them live better lives. I want to change the world, one soul at a time. But I can’t do that if I’m being a hypocrite! As much as hypocrisy is an ad hominem attack, it doesn’t matter. Talk without action makes a person not worth listening to, because ultimately we human beings seek figures we can emulate, not just let tell us what to do, even if they are right.
To my fellow Templars: do not be afraid of your own sins. Take responsibility for what you have done. It will render the criticism of others ineffective. It will render their cries of “Hypocrite!” ineffective. Use your own hypocrisy to grow and change. Let the sword cut you, too!
To the Philosophers that I adore (my girlfriend is one): keep us Templars honest. You’re brilliant. We will listen to you if you can convince us you’re right.

I encourage everyone to listen to Carl Jung's audiobook, found on UA-cam, entitled "Man and his Symbols" completed by Jung 10 days before his death. Its purpose was to be a generalized sweep for the lay reader of all of his analytical psychology theory. I agree with Jordan Peterson and numerous others that state this is the best book to start with for anyone interested in Jung's overall analytical psychology theory. By understanding his overall analytical psychological theories one can better appreciate the context for his personality typology.

@@FilipVanHoute Congrats on reading all Jung's works. After finishing Plato I am struck by how much Plato's theory of forms resembles Jung's collective unconscious. I find Jung more like Socrates/Plato and Fraud like Aristotle. Interestingly Jung (INTP) benefited and completed ISTJ Fraud's theories in a Socionics beneficiary relationship where INTPs benefit ISTJs but not the other way around. Fraud is universally regarded as an ISTJ who bases his Id on personal experience (Si). While Jung's collective unconscious comes from introspection (Ti) of universal archetypes and forms (En). So Jung's En was a parent to Fraud's weak En. And Jung did not doubt his own Ti while Fraud's Ti critic did, causing Fraud to empathize personal experiences (Si) over introspecting (Ti) eternal archetypes (En). Note both Jung (INTP) and Socrates (ENTP) focuses on En (archetypes and forms) which Fraud was blind to due to his En inferior.

Intellectual curiosity questions everything. If people find that divisive, they're probably not interested in uncovering truth.
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles, if you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." -Sun Tzu, The Art of War
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places." Eph. 6:12 KJV
We need to know ourselves, what we're capable of, because we are also our own worst enemy. You need to know yourself to identify your enemy. Only then will you be able to overcome the darkness and wickedness within yourself.

On the tradition part of this lecture, I believe tradition when done well, is a shortcut to have people act in a more mature manner then they deserve through their own experiences. So it can be good, but also can be bad when the following the tradition leaves you worse well off. -an intj with an istj single father. I also want to add that I personally struggle with cutting ties and running away from people when standing by them takes so much work. Even when I know it is the not the right thing to do. :(

1:22:52 I've recently read a story of Italian author Italo Calvino(i assume he's an INTP and one of my favorites): The Cloven Viscount. It's about a viscount who become two part in war. One part is vicious another one virtuous, and no one have peace and calm around any part of this viscount. It's interesting story i like it. (kinda like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde about dualism).

I have a quick question dunno if I should wait until a q&a. How does Se inferior and Te inferior differ when it comes to making a good first impression on others. As an infp this is important to me. I don't like giving sloppy presentations at school and have become concerned with my physical appearance. For an infj for example, would their concern mainly be making others feel good rather than the infp who wants people to think highly of them?

Beginning of the video is basically philosophy behind Te. Which is: disagreement for the purpose of find truth, and consensus. Fes are uncomfortable with that. I saw a few videos, where ENTPs discover, what is, essentially, Te. Calm disagreement, and observing, what people do, to find out their intentions. Lot of Fe people thinks Tes are angry and hostile, when they disagree, because that is, what they would do. Fi people get angry and hostile, when Fe people try to force them into certain behavior, which Fes don't understand.

After watching multiple virtue and vice videos for several types, I can really appreciate what each types really go through. There's such a strange relationship between one's virtue and other's. An ENTP is tempted into their vice of insincerity from many negative responses from others when they speak their truth. This happens with many types, like INTP's and apathy or Infp's and betrayal. People seem to applaud our defects unintentionally by rejecting our virtues.

I Love the Quadras and everything there is to know about the Quadras. Its fucking amazing and probably my favourite aspect of this whole science. It makes things so much more simple and understandable, because it really gives an amazing overview of the 16 types and the 4 sides of the mind when looking at how the different types are lumped together in the 4 Quadras. I also get a similar feeling when looking at the 4 Temples, 4 Interaction Styles, 4 Temperaments, but I have to say that the Quadras are the most satisfying and useful for me at least when typing and trying to understand all this stuff.
I also have to say that I dont understand why anyone would hate Jordan Peterson, and especially hos books, 12 rules and 12 more rules are fantastic, and also his first book Maps Of Meaning is terrifyingly great but very very difficult.. Anyways I dont understand why your friends would give you shit for liking him, because he really is a great man in my estimation at least. No one is perfect of course, but Jesus Christ Jordan Peterson is one of the great ones in our time and age, and I dont think there are many people in this world who have helped as many young people in our society today as him so...
Really good Lecture and Fantastic season. And also I have watched everything on this youtube channel at this point, and I dont believe I have yet to find anything that is offensive or worthy of complaints or outrage,. So that is also very confusing to me how anyone can be offended by this stuff.. I hope you never stop telling the truth no matter what, because that is what this crazy world needs.

But if attempt to learn skills I'm not naturally inclined to I develop. I'm not sure pursuing academia in my current state is wise so should I try to develop another side of my mind by doing what types of that side are inclined to. Note: ESTJ Obama went grey haired and became a chain smoker during his presidency. The Vietnam War brought ESTJ Lyndon B Johnson to an early death. INFJ Ghandi stood up to the British empire and was imprisoned many times but was described as being relaxed without aging a bit. The ISTP I flew with as a regional airline pilot was a better pilot than me but took to chain smoking and excessive coffee drinking. My ISTP grandfather took to alcoholism to meet stress. I've seen INFPs flee to their quiet spaces for long times when under stress and ESTPs go from one dangerous experience to another with a smile on their face. So from my own experiences I see validity in Socionics author's Gulenko's analysis of the 4 types that handle stress the best and the least. I wish more of his and other Socionics works can be translated into English. Although it's coming. But not as a coherent whole. It's rather quite piecemeal. Someday I'm going to produce a large typology Encyclopedia of all personality type theory. (Omiting Big 5, which sucks, but including the Enneagram, which is sublime.) I'm also in the process of reading all the major philosophers, whose theories often support typology. And history books. Note: I dropped out of my Masters program in American history because academic history focuses more on broad trends than personal experiences of great historical figures like ISTJ George Washington (and yes Washington was universally regarded as an introvert with awkward social skills (Fi trickster.) In fact my history professor criticized past historical analysis that focused on "personalities" which caused me to think "but that is what I love most about history." So just wait for my personality typology encyclopedia set to come out in 15 years. PS Chase is far and ahead of the other typology UA-camrs out there. He's way better than the rest combined. I gave up MBTI forever in favor of the Enneagram until he came along. His problems with MBTI were exactly the same as mine. And I knew he was an NTP right away before he brought it up. Anyway I got to stop writing. (By the way I love the apostle Paul and the Enneagram. So I am not a clone of Chase. I just happen to agree with nearly all of his core interpretations of Jung. And I know that over time his interpretation of Jung will become standard. And some may be proven wrong. But it will be because he opened up the new frontiers to be studied in the first place.

@@CSJoseph I'm looking forward to it. But please don't be in a hurry to bring out the Enneagram before you mastered it. Which is not as easy as it looks. It is both simple and very complex. There is actually way more Enneagram types than Jungian types when you consider wings and subtypes (sexual, self preservation, and social.) There are also tritypes. All told there are actually over 300 Enneagram types! And I also find that one needs to read more than one interpretation to get it right. For instance, Ruso and Hudson coined the term "integration" and "disintegration." But Beatrice Chestnut (whose book "The complete Enneagram" is the best out there) and others hate the term. She uses "finding your child heart" for "integration." And Ichazo and Naranjo are to the Enneagram what Jung is to MBTI. Any understanding of the subtypes passed through Naranjo. I'm really hoping you become a master of the Enneagram so I can call you "the greatest typologist of all time" as opposed to "greatest Jungian typologist." And if you can find a way to amalgamate both systems you will achieve that goal.

As a Christian I would like to be clear about a few things you discussed during the crusader topic. First of all, you are correct that God is the only one who has authority over man. The church is simply there for a place of gathering for his followers so that we can worship him, learn his teachings (the Bible), and fellowship with other believers. God doesn't tell us to follow what the church says, He tells us to follow what he says in his word. Next, the verses you quoted: Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. AND John 19:11 Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered me to you have the greater sin." are not contradicting each other. You have to look at the context and the events surrounding these verses to get a full understanding of what is being said. Romans 13:1 was talking about a time period where Christians were persecuted by the Roman government. Paul was writing to those Christians telling them "not to revolt and return violence with violence" but instead he was telling them to "subject" themselves/ respect the authority that God has allowed to rule over you. There would have been more persecution of the Christians if they had revolted. As for John 19:11 Jesus was about to be crucified. He was answering Pilates question of: "Do you not know that I have the power to crucify you, and the power to release you?" Although Jesus recognized that Pilate did have authority on earth he also realized that God was the ultimate authority. Pilate would not have been elevated to a position of power if God had not allowed it. But everything had been set up and ordained by God so that Jesus could die on the cross and save us from damnation in hell. That's how much he loved us. God allowed everything to happen so that his son could die for us. Which just blows my mind! No other religion on earth can say that of their god. I just wanted to clearify what you were talking about since many people take the Bible out of context today, especially those who call themselves Christians who actually are not. One more thing, it seems like you had a bad experience with Christians and I just wanted to let you know that we aren't all like that (shoving our beliefs down other peoples throats). That's wrong and not what the Bible teaches. For instance, take this post I'm writing. I'm not forcing you to convert. I'm simply telling you the truth of the Bible. That's what Christians are called to do. Spread the truth. It's up for you to decide if you want to have a relationship with Jesus, no forcing necessary. But sorry for the long post, just wanted to clear a few things up. Hope you have a good day and anyone else who is reading this!

Thank you for this video. I think all ENFJs should make it their due diligence to spread information like this in an Fe Se delivery, to really give people those reality checks. Not to mention ESTPs & the rest of Beta Quadra. I must say, I admire Alpha Quadra's ability to retain deep knowledge libraries and push them to their limit is truly remarkable.
An interesting dichotomy I came across to note, I think it'd be cool to hear your opinion. Aristocracy of Beta and Delta being N and F paired makes them use ideas primarily in regards to people and grouping them while using S and T paired gives them an almost dogmatic & concrete approach to logic, coming together to make them prone to superiority above others (Delta) & unity idealisms at the direct expense of objective logic (beta). This would by nature put Alpha and Gamma quadras into the opposite spectrum using ideas in a merely logical and systemic sense, while feelings serve only as a concrete and individual purpose, giving them a sense of cold dispassion (gamma) and placing pure reason as paramount above all else (alpha). Ultimately this would make Beta/Delta pair, use knowledge to primarily to teach the world (in a virtue state) and regarding worldly possessions primarily for themselves. While on the contrary, Alpha/Gamma pair, use their noble hearts to primarily perform acts of generosity to the world through worldly possessions (in a virtue state) and use knowledge primarily for their own personal gain.

I think people who criticizing your video in the most part 1. you point out what they don't want to hear 2. they decide thing without acquire as many possibilities/angles as possible. It is actually rather funny and amusing to see that. Why can't people just be like (when they hear something negative about them) "oh...hmm...that's interesting....let's see if what you said can be proof correct" or "ah...i see your point...but here is what i think and why i have these behaviors...." etc. Personally, when i see you criticizing my personality type, i laugh so hard bcz i think most of them are fairly true, and the way you execute it is rather dark humor. In conclusion: hater is gonna hate hate hate hate hate....not saying you shouldn't listen to them (you listened to them that's why you make this video), but i think it's fine that everyone can have their own point of view and express what they think. It's your channel, not theirs. I respect you are willing to explain further about your point of view to them tho. (Apologize for my poor English writing since it's not my first langue). Peace.

Chase, you said that what Paul said, “Whatever authorities exist, God put them there,” vs. what Jesus said to Pontius Pilot, “Your power comes from above. Those who delivered me into your hands are guilty of the greater sin,” directly contradict one another (when talking about the Crusader types). Are these two statements not saying the exact same thing: power comes from God/above? If these statements are not exactly the same and indeed direct contradictions, would you care to explain how they contradict one another? Once I learned about these quadra I came up with a typing strategy that probably only works on immature people in my age range (highschoolers), but has been very accurate in narrowing people down and now with the quadra this makes it very easy.
See Ive noticed people typically are very arrogant about "conquering" their demon when they are really just mistaking their improving inferior function for a conquered demon, when really they are suppressing it.
Ie INTJs who proudly declare the have told no one about their past and think they are now in control of it, INTPs bragging about their emotional control when its really just stoicism and suppression (I did this too). INFPs bragging about how logical they are with their scholastic achievements. If Im ever unsure about someones type I bait them into gouding about how theyve "defeated" their demons and its so obvious lol. I dont call them out for it until after I know them well enough to start teaching them typology (thanks for teaching me) cause Im not a dick tho lol
I guess this stops working once people actually mature enough to defeat their demons for real though ay?
