In fairness, if a silver league player only needs to macro with 0% focus on anything else, they can punch way above their weight. No distractions, no multitasking, just complete focus on the macro. I'm not saying this to diminish the games in any way - I love this idea and Marc you're my favorite person to watch play SC2 because of your mix of skill, commentary/interaction with the audience and just overall vibe and fun level! Its good for training. This guys whole thing is training. If he trains someone by just forcing them to focus on macro it helps their overall game. I'm sure it helped the silver tons getting the macro down pat.

Yes it's similar to sports. The most average football fan could win professional games if all they had to do was command a professional football player to do it and watch them do it perfectly.

Great video Marc! Love the concept, i do think you should consider having the challenger also be in Archon mode with another in the same league to eliminate fact that the Macro is impacted so heavily by your harassment. Thanks for the amazing content.
I love this concept. Im in platinum, I find my issue is staring at my army fight (because its fun) and forgetting to macro back at home. Or doing proper scouting.
I like this concept too. I can macro pretty well or micro pretty well, but not both at the same time. I'm one of those plats whose resource counts and queen energy stays low right until my opponent rolls out.

It is really a fun format to watch. I hope this video is really popular so that you will do it more.
Now I want to see inverse Archon mode. Instead of two people playing the same game, I want to see uthermal playing two games of starcraft at the same time.
Really fun concept, surprised it worked so well! Very good episode, even tho I believe that the "silver macro" is slightly wrong here. Since the silver player focus entirely on the macro, we can expect better macro than his average in silver league
If you're doing nothing but macro then it's definitely easier to do it - but if you're silver while playing a complete game, your macro is likely not better than gold/plat level
