In fairness, if a silver league player only needs to macro with 0% focus on anything else, they can punch way above their weight. No distractions, no multitasking, just complete focus on the macro.
I'm not saying this to diminish the games in any way - I love this idea and Marc you're my favorite person to watch play SC2 because of your mix of skill, commentary/interaction with the audience and just overall vibe and fun level! GGs.

sadly it's hard to achieve the perfect silver league makro experience, because all the sloppyness comes from being distracted by harassments and micro at the front, which you are taking away from them

I definitely understand how this is harder than playing normal. Trying to mind read what your teammate is thinking or planning takes more focus than just going into autopilot. I think the term is "two headed giant" they spend energy arguing so they are less effective than a one headed giant

a silver league player who doesn't have to worry about switching from micro to macro will macro far above their rank. You need a full wood bronze 3 to give you silver level macro.

Check out Immortal: Gates of Pyre. It's an RTS with an optional macro assist once you're floating enough money. You basically set it like "if I'm floating more than X money, make units Y and Z" - design stuff like this should help a lot with the rts multitasking problems.
