Nightmare really fumbling a lot of stuff in game 2. Not attacking when 2 tanks are unsieged, not recalling to the highground earlier, not trying to defend the ramp with shield batteries, not coming back with the zealots (he still could've left like 2 in T base to kill the rest of the buildings). This was a won game for P, the archon in the end move-commanding and the zealots standing around just hammered in the facts.
Balance team figure out Lurker should be a siege unit so they slow it down, but can't figure out widowmine is a mine and should not be so easy to retreat and redeploy.
Nightmare would've won the last fight in game 2 with just a tiny bit better micro. If the last archon had attacked instead of move commanding the splash couldve killed a few of the red hp marines. Was game losing error.
Forget the archon, what was with all the random probe sacrifices? TWICE, he attacked with a bunch of probes and held his army back while doing that. Then, when the game is on the line and he's forced back into his main, he just leaves his probe line mining off to the side all the way to the end. Is he incapable of attacking with his probes and army at the same time???
Thank goodness there were no +2 banelings to threaten mineral lines.... getting boosted in there... getting to blow up multiple times... so glad we fixed those banes.
Protoss: insane blink micro, archon juggle, storm, surround Terran: haha a-move stim and win Terran so easy and micro-minimal nowadays it’s crazy. Literally just place ur unit there and they micro themselves
Tf you talking about? Marine micro is one of the most micro-instensive things in the game. If you're not very good at that at pro level, you're done for.
You're right, terran is OP and needs severe nerfs. Marauder concussive shell should disable movement abilities like fungals, and widow mines should have reduced cooldown 👍 #terransweep
Terran in the latest patch >>> Protoss >> Zerg especially in the high level of play. The upgrades are so ridiculous that if any Terran players who notice can utilize it to destroy any opponents (unless it's Terran vs Terran) (for example, the widow mine and the tanks)
It's really a joke that a single type of unit does so much damage to you like that, where is the balance team that doesn't realize this situation? At this point playing protoss is meaningless
Weren't they both eliminated by Zerg players though? I think this guy is specifically referring to the PvT matchup, which has been 60%T - 40%P for the past 10 months or so.
I'm not arguing that Nightmare is a better player. Tbh, I haven't watched enough of either of them to know that. Those 2 weren't even included in the stats that I mentioned though. Either way, It's pretty much common knowledge at this point that Protoss is a race that is just worse than Terran. Terran players just tend to argue the contrary, presumably because they don't want to feel like they're playing the easier race when Protoss has been labeled as the a-move race for so long (even though Protoss is very mechanically + accuracy demanding).
I'll say what I said a long time ago make widow mines 2 charges and dies after second charge so done with those recharging stealth anti-air/ground banelings for almost same cost, how is that ever balanced? nightmare for noobs, nightmare for pros, nightmare to balance
its so fucking stupid how a terran can lose 20 svs in the early game and then just attack the protoss who was still pumping army and win. unbelievably broken race
@@Lq32332 I think "comeback mechanics" are fine, but "oop, lost 20 SCVs, guess I'll just all in and have a decent chance of succeeding" is kind of unbalanced when Protoss loses 20 probes, they essentially have to play as greedy as possible and hope they perfectly time a power spike or get tech up to (maybe) actually hold the next big push from terran.
@@MrSpleenface Bad trades should be punishable. I had a Zerg roll a ton of banes in and he killed 30 workers. I then pushed across the map and killed him. He wanted to replay from that point- I won again. I pointed out he traded all his army for mostly workers.
if you still get fucked by widow mines after over a decade in the game and not just get a blind cannon/spore/turret you kinda deserve to lose. were those 300 minerals saved worth 10+ probes and the headache of cleaning up the mines?
Your lack of knowledge is sad. "Were those 300 minerals saved worth 10 Probes?" If you still don't understand that Protoss does not have 300 minerals to spare that early in the game after this long, then there is no hope for you. Also, it's not just 300 minerals. You have to build a forge, wait for it to finish, and then you can build cannons. It's not something you can do at the last second. It has to be fully intentional. If you are intentionally taking that much res out of your build order as a Protoss, then you're already dead. Lastly, your comment about how long mines have been in the game for is incredibly stupid. Doesn't matter how long they have been a part of the game when it only takes 5 seconds for your whole economy to disappear.
Yeah cannons don't cover the mineral line, you need 3 to fully cover it and even if they drop in range they don't kill mines before they explode. So it's only really good for detection
Exactly. Which is why everyone just uses Observers. You likely already have a Robo, so you have to wait on a Forge to finish. It's a LOT cheaper than putting down a bunch of cannons, and it's not static defense so you can actually use it for scouting after. People who say "jUsT uSe CaNnOnS" are just outting themselves for not understanding anything from the point of a Protoss player.
