Thank you for this video. I was surprise that you will stop cruising, as spring is coming now. No ! Of course ! You live on the over side of the planet ! Autum is coming for you ! (I'm calling from Brittany-France).🙂So have nice repair on your boat and see you next... season...
Thank you Christophe. Winter sailing is actually really good here in Australia but Trim needs her hull repaired and refinished. Enjoy your sailing season!
Enjoyed that Josh. Was quite crazy out there!! The waves never look quite so big on UA-cam as they are in real life so they were getting there weren't they and probably a good decision to turn back! Some of us "Europeans", if you can call British people that any more, are always looking for the quiet serene spots that are increasingly hard to come by on our crowded little island, so I love watching your channel and the lovely quiet spots in abundance. Every sail is truly a mini adventure! Thank-you very much for sharing the new Galley box and the rubbish bag idea and keep flying the drone! Mine took a dip in Lake Ullswater recently but fortunately had insurance so it only cost me £62 for a new one with new battery!!! You have to take the risks to get the good shots!! Happy sailing
Great video Josh. Terrific content sea birds, island, fast sailing, vegetation and of course the prized piece of furniture - the galley box - with dowell joints!
What a terrific sail the first day! Love the galley box -great idea to use recycled bin to line it. Good luck with the repairs and look forward to your next sail.
Great video Josh setting the bar higher for us open boat dinghy cruisers poking your head outside port Stephens heads. Well done congratulations and very good tips with rubbish and galley box.
Are you going to have to get a mast head light next - just in case you are caught in the dark? I am sure you can get a battery operated remote controlled one. Lovely galley box!
Cool micro cruise, great content, Great shots and thanks for picking up the rubbish ( imagine if we all did the same or not leave it in the first place) 👍
Yes, dji mini 2 se. The most basic but the quality is awesome. Thanks for advice prior to departure. You really need a tailwind for Broughton. Or a 12 hour day!
It’s called One Tree Island- I was a bit disappointed about the previous day so was determined to get some island footage. It’s quite close to Soldiers Point. Cute, huh?
Thanks Josh, good work all round! Well done on the rubbish clearing❤
Cheers Gary!
Thanks for the video. Good luck on the repairs and I hope you can get on the water somehow, while the repairs are in progress!
Glad you liked it…, maybe I can get a crew spot on another vessel. Thanks for leaving a comment. J
Great reminder about the rubbish. Grt galley box too.
Great video from the other side of the planet.
Thanks for visiting Australia. Please come again.
Nice video Josh. Good call to turn back. And thanks for looking after the environment.
Thanks Bernard. I’m glad I didn’t pursue the Broughton idea. No wind the next day also makes the return difficult.
thanks Josh. loved this episode. great G box, liked the message about trash and that wee island looked very cool. stay salty mate, Mat & Jo ⚓👍
Thanks guys. Have been enjoying your work also.

Cheers Dave, jealous of the Brits too. You are right in that the sea state is scarier in real life. Take care, J

Thanks for that, yes, dowel joints to avoid rusty screws!

Fantastic Josh....Broughton in that wind...brave man. I love your galley box and a new drone, it makes all the difference, what brand?, cheers Paul
Same as last one. Dji mini 2 se. Basic but gets great results. Happy to come film KL while Trim is on the hard. J

I might look at the Anaconda temporary light. It should only be a sometimes thing!
Cool micro cruise, great content, Great shots and thanks for picking up the rubbish ( imagine if we all did the same or not leave it in the first place) 👍

Nice video I really enjoyed it, see you when you start posting again.
Thanks for the visit! Josh
Great video Josh. Where did you get your sails. Im looking for a new set and yours look good.
Ben Gemmell. He is a professional sailmaker and dinghy sailor. I will message you his number.
That was really interesting! Which island did you land on?
It’s called One Tree Island- I was a bit disappointed about the previous day so was determined to get some island footage. It’s quite close to Soldiers Point. Cute, huh?
I noticed your navigator doesn't have any rub rails. Do you ever miss them?
Do you ever worry about sharks if it flips?
What are the dimensions of your galley box? I'm trying to design one.
Hi, contact me at dinghycruisingkingfisher@gmail.com and I will give you a detailed response about dimensions and why I chose them.
