Prussian player doing the ancient stuff reflected in 18th century too:
he put regular line on his left, grenadiers on his right, he used massed all his cavalry on the free hanging right flank and militia served as a connecting infantry support for cav. Militia didn't do much shooting, it was fresh and added numbers by helping cav in melee that broke the enemy flank.
The whole Prussian disposition was logical and in large reflected Alexander's right flank main effort.
In the same way like at the start and at the climax of the battle, the Prussian player accordingly again used his forces rationally in the closing stages of the battle.
Concentration of troops well executed and rational usage of strengths and weaknesses of the forces at hand.
We been waiting for the return to gunpowder....

Also you mentioned ntw3 you given us hope for it's return, just be warned the recent update is really unstable so try using replays from 9.3 till 9.4 is fixed

cav armies are always interesting. Warfare is all about fire and maneuver, so seeing one side have a good cav force is usually a good indication if they don't just randomly suicide charge.
And yea the cav didn't need to charge, its presence meant Savoy kept peeling troops away to defend the rear which meant it couldn't dedicate as much manpower to win the firefight. But if Savoy didn't, the cav would have wrecked their army. So its gg either way.
The swede player didn't know too much of how to play this game, but I still like to see my nation on the field, so nothing bad on the guy, happy he fielded that army. Watching this video, my nerd antennas are tingling with excitement.
Edit: Had not watched more than like 15 minutes when I wrote this, and at 25 minutes I think he had vindicated himself somewhat, it might be enough. I will continue watching and find out.

idk why but i have a thing for countries reaching back into there history for unit names and inspiration especially with the Scandinavian countries and there viking history. Just imagine fighting the " the 5th Huscarl battalion" or "the 23rd Viking amphibious assault core" . That's what i name my units in HOI 4 for my sweetish empire playthrough.

Sad to remove bullet trails, I loved vanila. We need WW1 / WW2 mod on full scale map... or this one without forts, with improved damage of ships, their battles take too long and are boring...
For ww2 there is steel division 2 or men of war assault squad 2, for ww1 there is the great war western front
i dont want those, i want to rule whole country not some little squads...
