I've been rocking a GLX-D 16 OG version for 7 years now. Never had a problem. Thing is built like a tank. The new version, with dual band capability and an input jack is likely just as solid. Maybe I'll buy one if my current unit ever dies. Not likely to happen but, it's nice to know I have a good option if it does.
Just bought this wireless system GLXD-6X due to my earlier version at times sounding like a wobbly chorus sound...could be because I have started using smart tech also 2.4ghz or whatever it is. So, the new GLXD16+ is way louder and quieter as regards artefacts than my earlier version, and now I can turn my Friedman Runt 20 combo up to LVL two which is great. Why is my new GLXD16+ louder and clearer sounding than my earlier version, pray tell? It has nothing to do with the built-in dbs as they are on the same lvls on both units.
I like the fact that you can change the output volume if it’s not loud enough. Just got mine today, didn’t quite get to all the features yet but all my other wireless’s made my guitar sound thinner, earlier shure, audiotechnica, Samson ect….this one doesn’t do that.

That second input can be used as an a/b switch.... you need to select in the mode menu. Downside is you cant have silent tuning.
I didn’t see that option, I’ll have to dig more into the manual to check it out. Silent tuning isn’t necessary for me anyway.
Hey Dustyn, you never did your follow-up... thoughts? I'm really tempted to get this system, how did it perform on the festival run?
Hey I will make a follow-up video this week! It performed great! No issues at all with interference
Hi, how about their sound quality and picking respon?
bravo. reeally awesome . see you later. 😈
Sold mine after several failures. Oh well.
What sorts of issues did you experience?
@@DCFGuitar dropouts and interference from other WiFi sources. Always on gigs :-(. Tried everything to resolve but went back to cable.
@@elephantfootrisers that sucks to hear. I’ve had no issues at all, hopefully it stays that way
Yes, using it with a cable would mean you just bought a 500 dollar tuner…..waste.
