(S-3 Ep-11) Awesome Portable Patio Chair! FREE PLANS

FREE PLANS IN BOTH IMPERIAL & METRIC DIMENSIONS!!!
With summer on the way, you’ll want to build a few of these simple, easy to make, portable patio chairs. You can do it with basic hand tools if that’s all you have to work with.
This style or design has been around for many years with a wide variety of variations. I found the design for this chair in an old magazine and modified it very slightly. That being said, I’m only claiming copyright to my work/drawings, but not to the design itself. The design is fairly generic, and this particular style is in the public domain.
The finished chair is only shown in primer. That’s because the temperatures plummeted down to the low thirties (F), and it was too cold to finish paint the chair. This chair will be donated to a local non-profit fund raiser, so I’ve decided to let the non-profit organization choose the color they desire anyway.

This chair design has been around 50 years that I know of. How others can put their own name on it and SELL plans for it is beyond me. In the old days people left the 2 x "legs" flat on the backsides and this made them easily stackable while flat. This is how I plan to build mine using your template for the shape for seat and back. I'm so happy to find a UA-camr who doesn't try to own everything in PD (public domain). I'm very happy to have found and subscribed to your channel.

Glad you enjoyed that, Brian. Should have included an appropriate Irish Reel playing in the background. I usually place a thick foam floor mat on the bench when I use the sander, but I was in a hurry, and the melamine surface is slippery! Fact is; I stopped after getting a few seconds of filming and put the mat in place as can be seen later in the video during the build process.😂😂

Thanks so much for the free plans! These chairs are wonderful. There's a person here in the U.S. that's charging $50 for a set of plans and they are virtually the same. I plan on making two (2) of these for my firepit area.
