My dad took me there when I was 6. It's my absolute favorite place on the ocean. I dream about it regularly. I spend the whole day there fishing, snorkeling and swimming. Lots of sunblock though....... dont forget your bottom eyelids, they get burned from.the sun reflecting off the water. #protip
So glad you did a video at the east jetty. I've been contemplating heading back down there. Will have to venture that way sometime next month. Now, just have to get lucky and pick a day that the weather won't try to kill me.
I’m able to hit Destin once a year. I daydream about it constantly and once a year never feels like enough. It’s great having videos like this to watch!
Way to go gents. My hat goes off to Mr. Stamper for landing that Red. I was at the exact same spot two weeks ago. Lost my pb Red out there. Those Jetties are magical. Thanks for posting this Lawless Tide/30 miles out. Tight lines.
I've walked both those jetties...it'd be nice if you could get dropped off by a boat, lol. This is a great way to fish when the waters are too rough for boat/kayak.
Where did you park to get to this jetty? I’ve drove to the public parking there at the end and then walked over but there’s a sign there stating private property when walking that way. Any other place to park?
@@bretanderson3907 I would have jig heads and FishBites buttkicker paddletail and heavy casting spoons for artificial. Live bait I would use anything that the bait shops have (shrimp, bull minnows, pinfish etc etc) or that you can catch yourself.
When your trebles do substantial damage to the fish, give it the honor of a quick death and a fish taco funeral. A sharpened tire repair reamer works perfectly for on the spot ikejime. Cut the throat, bleed for a couple minutes, and then place your fish on ice. Meat quality is noticeably enhanced.
Sorry man, bringing cooler is not practical on the jetty. If that Spanish died he becomes part of the food chain. If he sustained mortal wounds believe me there are plenty of sharks in the pass that will make fish tacos of him. Thanks for watching.
I had just moved to destin many, many years ago and i knew nothing about anything. So one morning i walked out on the exstream east jetty andbtried to catch something. Suddenly boats began to come hurriedly through the east pass and head for the harbor,duh..... i foolishly stayed on the rocks and a big old willowall and water spout blew in and about washed my ass off of the east jetty. Well live and learn.
I've fished many different places in Florida, those jetties in Destin are still one of my spots of all time. Great video man 👍
Thanks man

Love your videos. I get down there two or three times a year to fish. This is a good substitute for being there.
Thanks man, appreciate it.
@@TheLawlessTide how far a walk is the east jetty? Will be stayin at breakers east this July and wanna fish it
@@robertcheney7724 not sure where that is but it's a good hike from the public parking to the jetty.
Will be there in September. Staying near Seaside but will venture down like the good ole days. Keep on livin' brother!
Thanks man!
Enjoyed the video. Been to the jetties at Saint Andrews, I'll have to try out Destin soon

I got a pair of tough style water shoes and they are great for those. Walked them once or twice
Yeah, definitely not a barefoot or sandals place for sure!

It sure is. It sucks they shut down parking for the west jetty. I always preferred that one because it was way less crowded. Thanks for watching.
You have really embraced the panhandle lifestyle.....tight lines
its hard not too, lol.
Awesome Team Work ....Love IT
Thanks
Can’t believe I stayed right there and never tried to go out on the jetty. Tropical storm conditions didn’t help
Wouldn’t wanna be on the jetty in that, lol.
I have seen all kind s of fish there, great spot
I’m going to be in destin on Tuesday would love to link up and fish!
Thanks but I am swamped with charters and pre planned trips. I appreciate it though. Good luck and tight lines.

Park on the road in front of the Osteen Beach Access sign. But it costs $5 for 4 hours.
That’s awesome!
Thanks gabby
Oh my Goodness! Thirty MIles Out meet The Lawless Tide! lol...Too funny!
