before they built emerald grande I used to fish the docks down there in front of it and catch flounder. Good times. Now you can't fish that close to the bridge anymore.
next time try straight Ande 12 lb. pink for brackish and inshore. make sure you don't let it sit on the reel more than six months because you want to be able to trust it. then use a #1,#2 mustad oshaughnsey( not 1/0,2/0). no leader. retire your hook after every fish for line strength. it'll make those mangrove easy pickings.
Thanks for the video. I plan to take my dad fishing in Destin next month. He does not want to go deep sea fishing bc he is afraid he won’t be able to haul in big fish so we decided we are going to stay on shore. Quick question, Where do you get bull minnows?
Random question, do you use like a power bank hooked up to all your gopros? I have seen it in a lot of your videos and was curious as I too plan on filming fishing videos one day with gopros. I love all your videos by the way!
Yeah that's what I figured. We go every year to Panama City but I'm not going there this year. Never do any good last few years. Just looking for somewhere to catch a few for a few days. We live in east Tennessee so it's a good drive to not catch anything. Thank you for your videos i enjoy them
You mentioned "eatable mangroves"...any worry about keeping fish from the harbor area? I'd be concerned about water quality, therefore eat-ability of fish caught there. Lots of potential contaminants
I just see how "dirty" the water is around the docks and figured that the fish caught there might be higher in levels of contaminants due to eating bat fish in the same water. Keep up the great work!
@@TheLawlessTide Yeah I just lose my interest in fishing once someone starts barking. Btw I got a couple spots at night that im catching Mangroves up to 18 inches. Got one a week ago 3lbs 4 oz. Using palm sized pinners for bait.
@@geoffreyrisley15 For me you can fish there BUT security or boat/business owners will try to run you off, has been my experience every single time ive gone there.
Wow I had no idea you could fish there! I’ve seen big jacks in the harbor
Me and my friends take trips to Destin from Huntsville AL 2 to 3 times a year just to fish on the docks there and deep sea fish.
Great fishing area!
your vids are always great fun to watch. good energies,down-to-earth ,good skills. can only dream about fishing like that lol
Thanks man. Appreciate that!
You did a lot better than I did in Tampa Bay this morning. I like the bull minnows, they are hardy baits.
Yeah they are tough to kill for sure.
I like the bull.minows too,.They're not worth cleaning though I just eatem whole. The bones add a nice crunch I was not expecting to like.
Great action. Are we going to see a cook video? Always enjoy those.
Possibly soon.
Nice dude! You know I was hooking more because I’m a better fisherman haha. It was a fun morning for sure
You were taking all the primo bait.

MY DAD AND I WILL BE THERE ON THURSDAY, CANT WAIT!
Good luck!

Awesome feller's as always. Great tasty catch. Be safe God Bless.

What are some other good areas off the shore to catch some mangroves? Wanted to catch some good ones to make dinner for my anniversary

Those fish dont stay in the harbor year round. You could catch a fish thats been in the harbor anywhere around here.
When i said eatable i really meant legally harvestable.

@@jerry.goodman thanks.
Gee, no Bluefish????
I didnt have the right gear with me to target them. They are vicious!
Looked like when I was young
Im surprised you didnt get run off. Not as friendly there as it used to be.
There were 7 of us there, trust me they werent gonna be able to run us off😂

I usually fish before the workers are even there.
