In 2016 I was new to recovery and happened to run across a Jeff Durbin video on abortion on UA-cam very enlightening I've been following him ever since today I'll attend my first service at the church in Mesa looking forward to it

In Isaiah day Jesus did not acquire Mighty God, Eternal Father and the others.
Notice carefully (WILL BE CALL, Witch mean future).
(1) He will be call which mean future (Mighty God, not almightily God)

I have to say, although I haven't been a jehovahs witness for twenty years now, I can still say that most are like this, even in their private lives. Of course there are exceptions, but generally a nice bunch of people! Just sad that they are misguided by their leaders.

Durbin can get very condescending when things don't go his way. He'll come out with sexist names and labels, particularly of women when they don't believe what he teaches. Sad, because he seems a really nice guy on the outside.

I don't agree with you. I've had conversations with Mormans and they always try to convince you you're wrong. They are civil, but they work very hard at proving their RELIGION is right and all other people are going to hell. A man of the TRUE god like pastor isn't trying to tell this guy he's wrong. JohnBee Jeff is an apostate. He’s filming because he’s seeking fame. He wants followers and be praised. But what he teaches people are nothing but lies. He’s the clear example of Satan making things “appear” as truth when they are not. The Bible does not support the trinity doctrine. This teachings derives from ancient Babylon where they worshipped triads of trinities. But the Bible is firm in what it teaches about one God.

We must seek truth through Scripture and prayers and not that of men.
Through scripture many infer that Jesus is God and God is Jesus however, they NEVER stated such.

@@kylebraby2357 Do you understand the basis of the Christian faith? Regardless of how “good” (None is good but the Father in Heaven) this man is it doesnt change the fact we have sin unaccounted for. This is not based on a certain belief like Calvinism but a fact of life in light of Gods Law that is just & holy. To deny Christs divinity is to deny His worthy sacrifice to atone for our sin, it is to deny Christs own words that He & the Father are one, that when you look upon Jesus you look upon the Father, that He is the visible image of the invisible God. Jesus stated multiple times taht if you reject Him you in turn reject the Father, when the Pharisees rebuked Jesus in the name of God Jesus said if they knew God the Father they would know Him but they didnt, same with Jehovahs witness, same with Muslims. I see the same verses used from each to discredit Jesus’ divinity deducing Him to be seen as just man, but then how can He be our redeemer if He has sin like the rest of us? Their faith is filled with contradiction stemmed from a misunderstanding of the being of God & the necessity of the payment of sin, the just retribution according to Gods Law.
I truly admire how Jeff is always calm and respectful, and he always let’s the other person speak more. This man was raised well, and has the love of God in him.

Case and point, Jesus did not worship a triune god, nor would be teach of preach of such a god.

Finally a pastor and Jw that could speak calmly and have a great conversation. As an ex Jw that was in for over 25 years, Finally an easy to understand explination the trinity. I was blown away by the calm EXPLANATION modalism and how that explained. Absolutely changed my views and got me to understand what happened and how the belief of Jesus as seperate from the Father was a fight in the 2nd cent. I loved that! I have been searching for 9 years to resolve that one conflict in my mind and now I have peace over that issue. Thank you for being so knowledgeable. I feel God sent me to that post.
I was raised JW and by God's grace I have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone!

You know the Father is still the only true God. And God knows your struggle in that organization, but I wish you the best. I am a Biblical Unitarian and there are many former JW'S who turn to isolation. But there is a group in the U.S.
Henry Santiago you should look at what kind of man athanasius was. He came up with, or enforced the "the son is of the same essance of the Father". If you search, many scholars, although there are very few who will admit this, will tell you that Athanasius abused, tortured, kidnapped his opponents in Alexandrite Egypt. Now you may say, "yes, but that was in the past. We do not hurt people now". But you believe in a violent man's creed. All christians are forced to believe in this, if a church ever even mentions this. You need to see what does Jesus say. John 20:31 says that the accounts of Jesus' miracles was so"that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God. Amazing. Is the writer forgetting that his account was also written so that we may believe that Jesus is God, God the son? The sputter never mentioned jesus as God. The intention is different. It's the son of God the writer wrote. All of John was written to prove to all that Jesus is the son of God. Not God the son.
So are you saying you are okay with a man like Athanasius? A man who tortured and kidnapped his opponents and came up with this doctrine of Jesus being in the "Same essence"? I would really like to know your take on Athanasius. He is the one whose creed every church member, pastor, minister, future pastor must bow down to. Do you bow down to the doctrine of what Athanasius put foreword?

II Your ridiculous, if Christ is not the Eternal God then His atonement is insufficient for our sins, our sins are against an Eternal God and a "created being" is not sufficient to cover them, just as a spotless lamb was never fully sufficient to cover the sins of Israel. Also, you cannot explain the characteristics of God if there is only the Father before all things created, you cannot be loving by yourself, you cannot be social by yourself, you cannot be caring by yourself. Give me a break the Bible and God's characteristics fall apart without the doctrine of the Trinity.

The JW dont have the truth. They are demonstrably false teachers and prophets and this is easily illustrated one by one. On the false prophet side, their record is published and such false prophecies are in print. There are 150 year of false predictions and flip flopping doctrines. To submit that they have a brotherhood is also a demonstrable falsehood. They have elites and strata that belie that claim. Elders on down to rank and file unbaptized publishers. Its structured like the soviet system. Top down authoritarianism is in no way equal to the relationship among brothers/sisters. Try writing a letter critical about an elder and sending it to the ones who appointed him at JW headquarters. You will see soon enough who is in charge and what the price is to be paid one brother talking to another. As to the idea the holy spirit is not a person. One argument used by JW is the holy spirit was poured out at pentecost....a person cant be poured out. Yet they dont make the same argument about Jesus who is said to have been emptied out his heavenly vessel to become flesh Phi 2:7. Paul also used the analogy of a drink offering and that he would soon be poured out like one. Phi 2:17 and 1 Tim 4:6

He could have easily said his father would raise him up and there would have been no murmuring or seeking to kill him. But rather the text is plain and is no contradiction to your verses, while the opposite is not the case.
Since you are possibly well schooled by the false prophets at Watch Tower can you explain these 2 things. In John Jesus clearly says to his disciples that they can not have eternal life unless they drink his blood and eat his flesh. Yet at annual memorial of JW, millions who profess to follow Jesus are intimidated by false leaders to not partake of the symbols of his flesh and blood at what amounts to be a black mass.
Next in 1 Cor 15 what sorts of beliefs does the context surrounding vs 33 show is the “bad association” for Christians to avoid? Its often used by JW to keep young witnesses from joining sports teams and others from getting good jobs. Paul isnt dealing with corporal issues, but rather beliefs that JW hold that was subverting his teachings to the contrary about resurrection....go read it I dare you.
Lastly a 3rd for desert. When approached by Jews who had heard of his miracles, they ask him to perform a “sign” for them and they would believe. You know what Jesus said to them if you are familiar with scripture or a JW (pun intended)...he called them a wicked and adulterous generation “that keeps seeking a sign”....so then what does that say about Jesus if 2000 years later when he “invisibly returns” and selects as his one and only “true followers” a group of people who only believe on him due to the appearance of so called “sign seeking” that his return in power is imminent. How does that make sense? And yet you know in your heart that if the Watchtower removed their emphasis on world events as signaling his “coming” most witnesses would beg off in a heart beat. Not all, but most. Now aside from making Jesus a hypocrite what does that belief say about the motive of most JWs?
I shared with this SAME GUY (Cedric) a couple months ago while in Kauai, for over an hour. Pulled out all the same arguments with me. Praise God as he allows many faithful believers to speak truth to him. Praying for salvation for this man.
I believe god is sending believers to this man to lead him out of error. I pray the scales will be removed fron eyes.
A guy gives up his time to teach underprivileged kids. He starts teaching 1+1=7 and "dog" is spelt D-A-W-G. Will you also question if he is corrected because he gave up his time and energy?

I think we should be careful not to pit the Son rising by His own authority against the Father raising Him by His power. As the Word of God, who does not lie, Scripture cannot contradict itself. Therefore, it seems to me that John 10:17-18, Acts 5:30, Acts 10:38-40, and Ephesians 1:20 all affirm that while Christ had the authority to rise, the power came from God working in Him His great might.
The Son having the authority and the Father supplying Him the power are not contrary ideas. Resurrection power to counteract death in His body clearly comes from the Father. But the Son has authority because He, as God, is perfectly righteous and holy. The wages of sin is death, but He had no sin, so it was impossible for death to hold Him (Acts 2:24). His holiness and His righteousness make Him worthy of life because He is the Author of Life, and only sinners deserve death.

And in Hebrews 1:8 Jesus is referred to as God. 1 John 5:20 also calls the Son God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 refers to the Spirit as God so does Acts 5:3-4. What this shows is subordination. The Holy Spirit is subordinate to Jesus and God. And Jesus is subordinate to God. Take for example a manager and an employee. The employee is subordinate to the manager but does that mean you’re suddenly not human because you are subordinate? It’s the same with the Trinity. They all have different roles but are still God. Of course it doesn’t make sense to us, as we are human. We will never be able to explain God so we will try to come up with what we can explain. However, the scripture does teach that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are God.

I’ll go even further to say that they know the Bible more than not only most “Christians” but also saved ones. Yet this is a different gospel yet closely related. When Christians pray to God, they say Jesus name, who is God to them.
When Jehovah's Witnesses pray, they pray to who they say is God, Jehovah AND Jesus who they say is a prophet or Gods son.

The important thing is to understand that we're evangelising to an individual. If we only debate against their theology/ideology, we fall into a trap of speaking at them, or speaking past them. If someone is just repeating themselves like a broken record, and not does personalise their evangelism based on who they're speaking to, it indicates that they may not even understand their own theology/ideology and are just blindly indoctrinated.

If the Father and the Son are one and they are equal upon the Sons return to Heaven, that is, Jesus Christ’s return, how is it in this scripture, the Son subjects himself to the One, the Father? Also, the Father subjected all things to the Son, but when He says “all things” this doesn’t include the Father. How can one be subjected to the other if they are both God? How can one be subjected to the other, if they are equal?

Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:20-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond scripture.

This is how you help Jehovah's witnesses to wake up. As a Jehovah's witnesses for over 45 years I finally woke up. Thank you to all of the true Christian that help me . If Witnesses come to your door, anywhere you come into contact with them. Talk kindly to them. It might just help them to wake up from such a High Mind Control Organization.

The Bible really is not that complicated. It’s not a great mystery. Read it in context of the culture of the time it was written. Read scripture in context. Context as King
Learn from the bible and not books and magazines that give you an ever changing doctrine. Associate with people that allow open discussion of scripture and wont silence you if you differ on some opinion. Don’t associate individuals or organizations that call themselves “The mouthpiece of God” as the Watchtower Society has and then make false prophecies

Yet another great example of how we as christians should approach people of other beliefs as well as unbelievers. As Ravi likes to say we are not so much answer the ‘questions’ we are answering the ‘person’. Treat people with respect while standing firmly on our God-centered foundation. If God has given us the truth AND WE CAN ARTICULATE IT IN AN INTELLIGENT FASHION then there is no reason to attack, disrespect, etc. This is why I think it is so important to educate ourselves in apologetics, learning how to defend the truth of God and Christianity.
The church today is DESPERATELY in need of learning apologetics, among other things of course. This is why kids are leaving the faith in droves once they leave their home and the church and go off to the secular university, they were never taught how to defend what they believe. Having a “child-like faith” is biblical, but having a “childish faith” is not only unbiblical but foolish and will leave you empty-handed when you enter into the battlefield of ideas.
We live in a world where people obviously do not believe what we believe, so for example when talking to an atheist using the Bible will not be an effective tool - depending on the topic - precisely b/c they do not believe God has spoken. With that being said it is important to meet then at their level. If science, logic and reason are the supposed pillars of what most atheists ground their atheism on then science, logic and reason is what I will use to show them the contrary is true. We are to renew our minds. We are to grow spiritually and in knowledge, if we do not we are sitting ducks.

I was an atheist for the majority of my life. The key to fighting any world view hostile to Christianity is to learn the common rhetoric and line of arguments they use.
Having had so much experience with atheistic arguments, I have no issue debating them. Everything they say, I already said in the past and everything they believe, I once believed and found it wanting.
Compare this to Jehovah’s Witnesses. I would come out with little argument against them since I’ve had so little experience with JW’s and their rhetoric.
Therefor you must learn your opponents ways before you get into a debate with them.
The *most* important thing however is to remember to sanctify Christ in your heart before every debate. Remember not to go in solely for the sake of “winning” or to inflate your own sense of pride and intellectualism. This is arrogance and something was guilty of when I was an atheist who argued with Christians.
You argue to represent Christ on earth. Do not lose your temper or stoop to childish tactics but instead - glorify God.

I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness. Then, I saw all those verses they gloss over in a different light, and everything changed. I was couch-locked for three days. I mourned the Jesus I thought I knew. They he culminated with the Father and Holy Spirit and became far greater and closer to me than I ever realized could be possible. Praise God 🙌

I noticed he was more humble and open minded compared to most JW. Seems like he wants the real truth but doesn't know it completely so decided to "just choose one" and become a JW and that's what he's trying to teach because that's what they taught him. His heart is good and his spirit is willing.
In a democratic country, u have the right not to share ur personal details. JW's are accorded those rights too.

The title God is assigned to others also, but we do not say Moses or Paul is God.
Where Moses was also called God:
Exodus 4:16 He will speak for you to the people, and he will be your spokesman, and you will serve as God to him.
No one is saying Moses is God.
Where Paul is called a God:

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Like people will say this is my first born son... Meaning he was "created" first.
5.Jesus himself said it is Jehovah your God you must worship :
Matthew 4:10 - Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”
Jehovah's Witnesses has placed God's name in its rightful place where it was taken out.
You will see a very important name was taken out at :
Pslams 84:18 ;May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah,You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Some translation will replace the name Jehovah with Lord, which is not a name its a title like Doctor, Teacher..
Even the our father prayer Jesus himself said in Matthew 6:9-10 Our Father in the heavens, let YOUR Name be sanctified. 10 let YOUR KINGDOM come. Let YOUR WILL TAKE PLACE.
Here Jeus is saying let Jehovah's will take place.
Please read through the 4 gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and you will see clearly that Jesus always prayed to God when he performed miracles and always gave praise to the God in Heavens Jehovah.
In the Bible there is overwhelming evidence that Jehovah is the only Almighty God. Some translations has just taken God's name Jehovah out to fit Church beliefs.
