Hey bro would one of these millen califonts run a small Bach like basin, shower and kitchen sink not all at once obviously haha or are they only made to run a shower head like yours ? Im looking at a 10 litre one like yours but dunno much about califonts hopefully it would be big enough cause theyre quite a good price
Awesome vid brother, what are your thoughts on having the water preheated going in to the califont? Currently i have a shower heating up off the iron roof and its scorching in summer and lukewarm in the winter.. will the califont use less gas if i run the preheated water through the califont? Kia Ora
Kia ora bro I am planning on doing a hot water cylinder that gets topped up by solar power. Like a wet back system for what you have and, in the winter the solar tops it up. I know some of the bigger califonts can have a heat input. Solar water heater type. Or maybe run a cold line a put a mixer in to tone down your hot for summer?
I got a 5 L Millen brand of trade me $200 brand new. Check your water flow first, if you want more pressure go a 10L it will use more gas. They all have a max input ( flow from water sorce ) and output ( out the tap end) it will be on the specs when buying them.
Thankyou for showing this. I learned a lot.
I'm going off grid up the far north once I have saved enough ... my old man is still bathing in the cold creek lol I need to buy one of these
Life changer. But in the creek is tuturu az. Hono ki te taioa.
Thanks, very informative.
And a good idea to spray any gas connections with soapy water, look for air bubbles, thanks for the great content and information 👍
Really good point. Gas is unforgiving always best outside.
Too much presentation mkuz! Ka pai..

New subscriber, really enjoying your vids👌
All good bro 👌 glad you enjoy them.
With those dials can you adjust the temperature of the water coming out
Got one of these millens. It's started making loud spluttering noises when it's running. Would you know what causes that?
