off-grid native brings to you my indigenous tribal Maori skills and modern off-grid living. Mixing together modern and traditional.
All you need to know from fire making, water systems, preserving food, building, solar power, fishing, foraging tips and hacks for making off-grid living easy and sustainable.
I grew up in remote New Zealand where my family and tribe have lived for generations. We lived with no power, only candles, we washed in the river, and we gathered food from the land. Today I am still on these lands and have built my own off-grid house and I fix and make everything I have. A mix of these skills are what i'll be sharing.

Shout out from the mountains of Northern California. My family started out with cast iron ram pumps made in the 1800s. Now just a big poly pipe running on gravity.
Thanks Jamie, I bought a ten dollar silca floor pump with a gauge that was off zero, your instructions on how to hack into a cheaper, "non serviceable) dial helped. I used some steam to warm the plastic (no rivets) cover and body interface and the cover popped right off with some gentle nudging with long blade. Fuzzed around with it by taking needle past zero and stopper until it felt right. I have not confirmed it is reading correctly but it was a great start! Cheers mate.
youtube at its absolute best. cheers!

What kind of filter are you using? Mesh size? Brand?
My connection was broken when the ad was added. Aue, disappointed when in the middle of meditating and you've chosen to add an advertisement; even worst, placing it to be played just as you start diving deep. Have to give it a thumbs down because of interruption
Kia ora Jaime, thank you for sharing your gifts with us. I feel a sense of calm and serenity after listening to this. Will come back to it again. Ngā mihi mahana

I so love your kōrero about the ahuatanga of our beautiful Rakau. It’s so amazing how our Rakau grows and their different characteristics of their personality and beauty. And how they can share space with each other.

Came across your video after visiting the site in Te Matau a Māui where the chief Tamatea played the koauau after the death of his brother (longest place name in Aotearoa) ✌🏾✌🏻

Thanks for the video. I just reset my gauge after questioning what my hydronic system was at. I now know the pressure of the system has not been the issue.
Great video! Any advice for a stream that has a ton of mud that clogs the pipe when the rainy season kicks in?
