Great video, explains a lot! id like to solve my drop in heat when other people use water in house. I have the Rinnai 26l and it just never recovers heat once someone else uses water in the house.
I have the issue of 15mm pipe going into Rinnai, so id like to solve that first. Can i put a PRV 400kpa valve in between which will convert 15mm to 20mm pipe and also possibly boost the water pressure on the cold input side? I have about 3 bars of pressure.
Following that I have a non return valve installed in the outgoing hot water. I thought this might stop the cold water pushing down the system and killing the flame.

Hey mate great video, I just have one question, how does the manifold work when all the pipes are different lengths? Because ate TAFE we learnt that you need to creep all pipework the same other wise the water will just find the easiest (shortest) route. Or does it not matter because it’s all beaches off of of 1 main line? I would love to know.

Is that pex straight off the heater?

probably, since it has been double covered and the heater is preset at 50oC, I can't see the problem here. BTW, this is accepted in QLD by government regulator.

I don’t understand your intro. How’s the customer wrong? They want hot water and to be able to use several taps at once > plumber said this is how I’ll do it > customer says OK. Looks like it’s the initial plumber who is wrong.
